We were just there last week for servicing. Just missed you. That place is top notch. We have a video we made on our experience that we are releasing on Sun.
When you read Newmar owner's forums, most problems people are having are on older units. Many people praise Newmar's commitment to helping on units well outside of the warranty. One area could improve. That is communication and that is a Winnebago strength. Winnebago didn't have anything in the $500K to $1M market and Newmar's top quality has translated into one of the fastest growing making it a good fit for Winnebago.
Andrew I have been to Amish acres. great great food. Also toured the Thor facility in Elkhart, In. Before we decided to go with Tiffin so glad we made that choice.
Go to Phoenix cruiser. They are close. They sold too. We own one. Full time is tight. We are thinking of the 33BR Tiffin. May have to wait for a used one. They want a lot of money. As you may no I had to retire early cause of liver transplant. 10 yrs ago. I am 65 now. I am very in happy about Newmar selling out. Jayco sold out the same time o bought one. It had to be rebuilt. We lost 20 Grand camped twice. Slide broke( they forgot to put rollers under it??? Put fiberglass backing over a screw half way in. All the screws were to small. Had to replace. It was a mess. They had the wires to generator mixed up, caught them on fire. Sold with dead batteries. More .... never again. We just were in a dealer in Oregon , great salespeople bad coach. Bay leaked water, steps going into rig , the plastic paper they glue on the sides was completely falling off. ( bad glue?) took for test drive , had to turn around . Main slide would not go in. Not me I been stuck before. I have no idea what to do. Staying with very small Phoenix cruiser. It’s solid.... do not know about the new owners. Newmar for me is out. Ken and Jane 🚎🚎
@@RVingwithAndrewSteele I know you mostly deal with motorcoaches but I'd definitely go check out Grand Design especially since they have the same parent company now. Might ease some of the viewers mind on quality.
@@robertgoad9276 great idea! I don't have any contacts over there and that is the trickiest part. I will have to call around and see if I can't make any connections over there and get some good content for the subscribers. Thank you for the idea!
"They all have problems", even though I know Andrew wasn't specifically saying all Newmar Coaches have problems it certainly appears they do. I have now seen horror story after horror story about Newmar more so than any other company IMHO. It's great that they are super nice and eventually fix all the problems but I have to ask why in the hell are all these units getting to the end users with so many issues? I have definitely taken Newmar off my short list for coaches I'd like to own and someday will...
Andrew ...hey bro...whats the music at the beginig?? Cool selection of music ..... Despite that i like Newmar especially the Kingaire ... yet I am not sure about the take over by Winabego and its side effects .... and the Grand Design argument is also right .... we will have to wait and see.... As for the quality issues ... I dont know why people assume that the higher end coaches are problem free ....all RVs have issues even Marathon, Newmar, Librety, and Newell..... the real difference is in the service levels and the people who are running the show.... As for the donughts ... it is a proven sales tactic ... I walk into my meetings with 3 dozens of dunken or crispy and you can imagine that I walk out with a contract in my hand :)... even in the middle east .... Donughts are magic man ...pure magic :)
Lol, I'm learning. I'm glad you agree with that tactic. That music is from the UA-cam Creator studio and it is titled My Town yo town. I have used that same tracking several videos because I love it so much that I can't get enough of it. I'm a huge fan of music that has some good brass 😎
Been to been to Amish acres. as well. There is something very special and the Amish and Newmar as well. Just saw some of the Tiffins at the Hershey show last week. Nice coaches and after the news on Monday thought about a Tiffin. Upon reflection though, I will be sticking with the Newmar family and the Amish all day long:) Looking forward to your review of the Essex. Btw, how is that water soaked slide floor of your Tiffin Coach doing? Are you getting it fixed or are you going to perhaps buy a Newmar...lol.
Working on getting that fixed. was still really hot in Arizona so any excuse I could use to get out of town and go goof off I'll take it. will have to face the music and reality when I get back to Arizona and figure out what I'm going to do with my Tiffin.
Another informative and entertaining video, keep up the good work. I will stick with Newmar until a really good reason to go elsewhere appears. A big red flag would be to move Newmar production to another location to "improve manufacturing efficiency"
I'm confused...you said you wanted to show us the 30-page list! Without it, I'm pretty baffled of what in the world took up that many pages. I'm going back soon, and have...what I thought...was a long list of 18 items, but their work order turns that into 4 pages. So, I gather that maybe you're saying that Michael's list was maybe 7 times that amount...so over 125 items??? I thought I was picky, and feel guilty for MY list!
Watch the previous video titled Newmar quality gone down hill or bad Apple? it was about four or five months ago and I went over all of the problems that that coach was having. Michael is definitely really really picky.
Suggestion for a road trip as you and Michael get ready to head home. Come down to Indianapolis. Take a tour of the Indy motor speedway track and museum. Grabe lunch at WorkingMan's Friend. It's a local restaurant/ bar with great burgers. Becky who owns WorkingMan's cooks the burgers on a flattop that's over a hundred years old. It's a local legend. Enjoy your time here in Indiana.
Thank you for the suggestion! Michael already has that coach and stacker trailer in Wisconsin and I will be hanging out in the Elkhart area for a couple days. if I get some time, I may head through Ohio and we'll keep that in mind if I make it to Indianapolis. I always appreciate tips like that for the best spots. I have definitely taken a mental note and will make sure I make that stop when in Indianapolis 😎
All coaches have problems, nobody builds the perfect coach, granted some are much better than most ! I think the speed at witch they build them is part of the problem. Along with the lack of good quality control! These things need to be completely tested before they roll out the door!! It’s sad when you spend that kind of money for these and things don’t work right and you have to go to battle with the company to get it fixed !!
Lol, I have yet to see a marathon that I like more then liberty coach 858, especially interior and TAOD paint jobs. Which marathon coach do you think is the nicest on the road?
@@RVingwithAndrewSteele coach 1291 is a very nice custom build with matching stacker trailer, check it out on MARATHON you tube channel. It's one of my favorite coaches ever. It's an X3 and I normally like the H3 better, but this X3 is awesome, the work put into it and the trailer is unbelievable. Worth a look.
@@ianhumphry1 okay okay, I have seen more brand new Liberty coaches up-close-and-personal than Marathon coaches so I base my opinion upon what I have seen firsthand. If I ever get a chance to visit Marathon, I definitely will.
Sorry Andrew, I gotta side with Michael on this one, MARATHON is the best followed by Liberty. But that's just my opinion and I know twice as much about nothing as anyone else does. Stay safe.

Lindielu thanks!!! That’s our thoughts now. You watch Newmar will get a lot of bad comments in the next two years.
Which tiffin you go with?
I read an article about the sale, the owners said that it was always the plan to sell some day.
Absolutely, everything has a price tag. I'm very happy for them.
Congrats on over 8k subscribers! See you at 10k 😊
