It's a private lawsuit, not a criminal indictment. There's no jail time involved. Civil and criminal are different things. It's good to familiarize yourself with basic civics so I would just suggest you read a couple articles or something about the differences between civil tort and criminal law. It's actually not hard to understand at all if you just read a bit

For some reason, this reminds me of those nurses that get arrested for "unaliving" a bunch of people. We never know until they hit double digits, and afterwards you hear how the hospital board kept ignoring reports about them, until they couldn't. Like... The first time Vince "retired" was in 2022. He owned WWE at the time. Now WWE is owned by Endeavor Group and Vince is an employee of Endeavor and has a boss. Big difference. That said, if he wins or the case gets tossed...."No chance, no chance in hell" the day after.
