R22 Helicopter tail rotor emergency training.
I am 14.3 hours into my private helicopter pilot's license. I am learning in an R22 helicopter built by Robinson Helicopters.
In this lesson, we focus on how by opening and closing the throttle in the R22 helicopter you can actually control the direction of the R22 Helicopter and keep it straight during your landing without having to use the pedals that control the helicopter tail rotor.

hI Im a student going for commercial helicopter lic, Came across ur channel ,enjoy seeing how training and things are done elsewhere. Super cool island off of Spain,do u ever fly over to manland or to great of a distance? I fly out of KISP islip long island new york, USA im located about 53 n/m east of NYC , I do fly around manhattan quite often, flying thru the 3 bravo airspaces,Kennedy,Laguadia ,Newark, as well as the inclusions surrounding manhattan, east river and hudson river . I do have a channel as well search( fly goapebilly ) posted complete training vids, as well as emergency maneuvers, and city flights etc.
I enjoy seeing the differences calls etc, as well as what ur instructor does different. It all helps with learning process .Looking forward to seeing more vids,i subscribed from both my channels that has helicopter content

Hey buddy! Thanks for the comment. It’s awesome you fly around NYC, I bet that’s amazing and super busy 🤯
I bet the radio calls are constant aren’t they?
Flying around Mallorca is super relaxed and pretty quiet on the radio to be honest.
We are looking at flying over to Barcelona and doing some more radio work plus night flying.
I’ll sub to your channel now 🤙🏼

Have to say ,your instructor is really good , very competent and patient ,lots of positive reinforcement, doesnt seem to talk down ,which is really great. Personable kind of guy perfect CFI . I have seen in a few vids , is their a reason that as soon as u establish glide in auto, he lowers carb heat immediately? When i was getting pvt my CFI had me do it at 200ft if possible, but since him not one other instructor wants that done, first time i did that with new instructor he freaked , i know all instructors have little things they do different but never seen right at start of auto, really like to hear if their is a specific reason. good luck with training

Stewart is awesome and really chilled. Very experienced CFI with around 8000 hours!
It might have been the odd ocasión but he usually says around 300ft to put carb heat back in.
Usually when you have checked your rpm, happy with the speed etc and you have a moment, then stick the carb heat back in so you aren’t adding too much to your workload. That’s what he always says anyway.

@@MallorcaHelicopters just curious ,flown with few different instructors ,first would have be lower at 200 ft,rest say never touch, everyone was different, talked to my instructor now , said same thing everything good no issue lowering ,like u said helps with power and work load fly safe
