Keep everything in proper perspective, seems to be the gist of this lecture. I have learned in my 7 plus decades walking this beautiful planet filled with crazy people, no matter how much horror I survive and negativity I navigate, there are very important, positive life/survival lessons to be learned. Thank you!
So the principle "je ne regrette rien" is not the best one? Regret can be useful to improve the behavior in the future? I also don't understand people who claim that they never regret about anything. I regret about hurting other people. Not toxic self accusation, but rethinking of the model of behavior. Beautiful metaphor of possible better "You"s! One thing which is impossible to regret is listening to marvellous David Eagleman!
Hi, taking all this into account, how does, for example, Deja-vu work? is it something we have really experienced, or is it something we made a simulation abount and then came true, or is it our brain playing games with us? And what is the purpose of Deja-vu?
I have been following all your podcasts and I'm continually impressed by your depth of knowledge and creativity. I really appreciate your time.
Thank you David, again for all your hard works to make us better brains
