Tengo una pregunta, cuando vas a comprar el Roma Pass de forma online, te dice que debes recoger la tarjeta en un periodo inferior a 24 horas, esto es así, o puedes comprarla con antelación, antes de llegar a la ciudad. I have a questión When you gonna buy the Rome Pass in online plataform, the advice you this: "The collection date must be at least 24 hours after the date of purchase", so, cant we buy the Rome Pass days before going?
this is according to their website: All cards purchased online can be collected ONLY 24 HOURS AFTER the date of purchase (minimum time required to process your payment to me this means you can buy it on a Monday at 12pm for example, and any time after Tuesday 12pm it can be picked up. You just can't pick up in that 24 hour time window after you make the purchase
Thank you! Yes, if you have the Roma pass it doesn't automatically buy you a ticket to the Colosseum, you still need to buy it online. However because you have the Romapass you should only have to pay the booking fee which is 2€.
I am wondering if it is still gives you a chance to reserve the slot even it is not available on the official web site? Let’s say the day that works for me does not have any available slots, and I got the card - will I still be able to attend the Colosseum on the day?
I understand the colloseum/palatine hill/forum are included in 1 ticket but those are not "skip the line tickets" correct? If not then how do you get those skip the line tickets without paying a tour guide
Great information. I've thought often about buying the Romapass but never have. For the Colosseo, I just go to the entrance to Palatine Hill and buy the ticket which gains access to Palatine Hill, the Forum, and Colosseum. All other museums I just buy either online or at the place itself, like for Galleria Doria Pamphiji in Via del Corso, etc.. I did take a break at the Romapass tourist point by the Colosseum this past August when it was blazing hot and I had to get a drink and out of the sun. Lol. Grazie ancora David. Ciao🇺🇸🇮🇹 p.s. still haven't been to Capitoline museo yet, after all my trips. Crazy!
I am going to Rome in June the 7th, I bought the Omnia 3 Day Pass. I want to book a ticket to the Colosseum. I think you have to pay for the ticket for 30 euros, I thought it was free. I didn't book the ticket,
Robert Fernandez hi. According to the omnia pass website it’s normal 12€ , 14 with reservation fee and they advise booking in advance. But the site does say it’s free. Where did you see 30€?
I’ve never had that pass before. However, usually, I get those types of passes when I visit in the city because usually they’re advantageous It depends how much you want to see and within what timeframe
Nice! So, you decided that the Romapass wasn't worth it? In any event I always buy some sort of a pass when I travel because in the end you save money.
I believe it’s this website colosseum.rome-tickets.org/colosseum-tickets/?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwl4yyBhAgEiwADSEjeA-rPDSubgUOItTqCrsSP4yfCWrcaHnOvV7bxl8RgOSio7_4FXuQQBoCZxoQAvD_BwE
I think I would buy it just to have the convenience of several features in one card, even if in the end the cost breaks even with the discounts, but I haven't researched the prices of museums and public transport. As of Nov 2021 the new cost for the card is €52 rather than €38.50
@@Rualnys I think the best thing is to draw two columns and write down the pros and cons. I always make a better decision when I see it on paper and also the advantages as well. Right 52€ for the 72 hour pass. I actually can’t remember the original costs of the pass from two years ago!
Awesome info!! It's so hard to find detailed first-hand experience reviews or information on the Roma Pass. Especially with the official website being "temporarily unavailable due to technical issues" for several weeks now. Have you by chance heard of their website issues or know anyone who should be pressured to fix the site? Lol
For the Colosseum, Foro Romano and Palatino, Roma Pass holders must book online, on the website ecm.coopculture.it - required booking fee 2€ (with credit card) - Please Note: Availability reserved for Roma Pass holders Roma Pass holders, online booking admission is mandatory. I got this from their website.
@@DavidsDoseofItaly hi. I found another option ticket for Roma Pass holder is 12e, it means with Roma pass I still need to buy and reserve in 14e in total, right? First I think Roma pass will cover and the ticket is free, but is is not right? Original ticket is 18e, so 4e discount only? Do I understand correctly? Thanks
Unfortunately no. I looked this up on the Romapass website and in the FAQ it said the following Can I visit the Vatican Museums with the Roma Pass 72 Hours and/or Roma Pass 48 Hours? No. The Vatican Museums (including the Sistine Chapel) are not part of the Roma Pass network Museums. For the Vatican it seems there is a separate pass and this is called the Omnia card.
And so it begins: the preparations for the trip. My son and I are going for a few days in February. Now I have to rewatch all your videos and take notes about everything. I think I will schedule a couple of Zoom calls before that date to go over other logistic details.
Awesome!! It’s kinda like my countdown for the Xmas 🎅 holidays especially after a two year absence from home ! Sure ! Just be sure to mention beforehand what you want to discuss so I can do research if necessary.
@@DavidsDoseofItaly I will put together ba list of most important subjects and questions to cover. I know for a fact that the itinerary for sightseeing and advanced tickets are a big deal
HI Michael. That's a good question. Your best bet is to just tell the person you're buying the ticket from where exactly you want to go and they'll give you the right ticket. I'd buy them from a Tabacchi or you could buy them from the ticket machines at any station. You're better off with the tabacchi though. The 1,50€ BIT ticket is good for any destination which is within the Comune di Roma. What does that mean? Basically it means zones and areas that are within the jurisdiction of the city of Rome. if you google and go to images you can see what makes up this area. Fiumicino airport for example is not in the comune di Roma but Ciampino I believe is. if it's not it's right on the border, but I believe so since I took a city bus to get there to film my video on that airport. So yea, just ask. Hope that helps. I can see in my news feed your comment on the scooters. Unfortunately youtube doesnt let ,me see the whole comment. It's a bug in their system that really irritates me. But actually I want to thank you for the video idea! I have limited experience with those things, but I can certainly do some research and give advice. Thanks !
@@DavidsDoseofItaly look at trip advisor reviews, problems booking with it and you can get 10 bit metro card for 15 euro anyway. It was never meant to save money just for convenance, now not even that.
I see. Thank you for the update.
