Great video, very informative. I was just there in February. Yes it was a little cool in Rome (about 55/60), but the lack of crowds made it well worth it. I was able to walk right into all of the attractions, including the Sistine Chapel, without having to wait in any lines. I was part of a small tour group and the guide did a great job explaining everything ahead of time, especially the Chapel where you’re not supposed to talk while in there.
Then my wife and I flew to London for a week and it was the same: no crowds. It was chilly at about 45/50, but not too bad. The only downside is that some attractions have limited hours or are getting repairs done during the down time off season.

OMG Excellent video. I have visited the Vatican but for my next visit next month I am planning to go with you to the Sixtine Chapel. I missed a lot when I was there because of the crowds and the guardian yelling to us to be silent. Thanks for all the tips of moving around the city. 10/10

For 10 days in mid July I spent vacation in Rome and the weather was too hot. Although it was my second trip, still I was so excited to see different places. In fact for 3 days i was able to jog at 4 AM at the Vatican area and felt safe due to the presence of many police officers around. Looking forward to my next visit.

Well even the official vatican website offers tours, they were the hardest to come across, found them and the guide was very knowledgeable (she had a phd or smthg). Highly recommend the official tour.

Best thing I did was get a “skip the line tour” for the Vatican with a local company on Expedia. Even in November there was a 2 hour line. Best extra 30€ I spent on the trip. The guide even asked who wanted to leave the tour after we were in. Lol
We suggest that next time you book direct with a local company
@@TheTourGuyVids mine was with “Walks of Italy” which is local and they were wonderful. Gotta watch out for the people out front selling tickets. I heard a few people inside saying the bought fraudulent tickets from random sellers outside the gate. Agree with you on finding a local company to get legit tickets. Italy is so awesome if you plan correctly and I’m taking your suggestions of sites to see from your other videos when I’m there for two weeks in November. Love the videos ✌

Was in Rome, Paris in sept, oct2020. We took your company’s tours in both cities. The guides are fantastic. We used other companies in Venice and Toledo which were nice, but not nearly as good.

So after taking bus 64 I have to walk all the way to the other side of the country to get to the museum. Sounds like a long walk ;)

You should make a video on places to visit in Rome that speak English! Me and my sister are going to Italy in the summer and don’t speak any Italian so hopefully there’s a good amount of English speakers there.

I checked today and the 60 day advance sale opens at exactly midnight CET. After 5 min, about half of the available slots were gone and after 10 min, only one slot at 14:00 was left. Now, at 00:15, everything is booked out The two aftenoon slots were the first to go, followed by the 9:30-11:30 ones. So calculate the date of the sale and set your alarm clock if you need to need to reserve...

@@TheTourGuyVids i was a guard in the Pantheon for 25 Years so i had to interact with hundreds of visitors per day. The signals at the Pantheon were written in different languanges and Americans could not spot their One indicated by the British flag.🇬🇧

We booked a small group tour for October 6th @2:30 pm. With our bus tour, it was to only time that worked for us.

I want to do the Vatican tour with The Roman Guy, but after the tour are you free to stay in there and wander around by yourself?
Our Vatican tour goes to the Vatican Museums and then to St. Peter's Basilica. If you want to stay and wander around the museums, you won't be able to continue on with the tour to St. Peter's because you can't reenter the museums afterwards.

Vatican Museum is DECEPTIVELY small from the outside. It's actually freaking huge! I was in there for like 3 hours and still didn't get to see all the rooms. Very exhausting.
@@TheTourGuyVids Thank you! But I'm not really interested in arts. So, one time at the Vatican Museum is more than enough for me. It's most definitely worth a visit for anyone who has never been to the museum. Just really take note that it's very exhausting. What I dislike the most about the museum is that they deliberately put the Sistine Chapel right at the end before exit, to force you to explore as much as you can.
@@AlqGo - The Vatican is definitely all the way at the end, but it wasn't designed that way. The museums was designed as a palace and became a museum. For 500 years it was not open to the public. This Chapel placed there was not done intentionally for "gift shop" reasons, but I can see how it can look that way today!
