#18 Cutting firewood : Stihl 461 firewood slayer chainsaw!!!

- I cut some more firewood rounds today so that I could split them up and keep my wood boiler fed. Temps have been in the mid 20's to low 30's this week and it is shaping up to be a mild winter so far. I also stopped by the stihl dealer this morning and am sporting a stihl 461 firewood slayer chainsaw for my cutting today.

That is a good saw. One of my personal favorites.
Good choice it’s so nice to have a big saw and mid range saw my main two saws are a ms 260 and a 066 mag
You've got an even bigger saw then. I really enjoy the firewood thing. It's been my main hobby this fall and winter
Awesome, that saw is a beast. If your cutting big wood like that, you might as well have a saw that can do the job. There's nothing better than watching fire wood videos. lol. Please keep them coming.
The 461 is an amazing saw. You'll have it the rest of your life
That's my plan. I hope so. And if I ever wear it out I'll have it rebuilt

@@survivingcountrylife7069 wanted to compliment you on your new purchase, but all your viewers beat me to it. Whish I had a hat like that, my 2 Cabela's hats need an oil change. I don,t do videos so I can get them dirty and can,t see them while I work. They feel better that way. Nice saw, nice pick. I have an 036 that outlasted my Dad, and I would bet money that it will outlast me, and I would bet money it will outlast my son too.
@@edzeigler1164 this has been a wonderful saw for me so far. Its got all the snort I need for anything I've cut so far. May play around someday and get a little longer bar for it just for felling vigger stuff but I probably don't really need it

If you mean the 461. You wont regret getting one. Really makes cutting more enjoyable to have a bigger saw compared to the ms290 I was used to

What size bar is on that 461, looks like a 24. Looks like it means business. It,s been 4 days now sense I cut wood. I got a new 20 inch bar and chain for my Husqvarna 550 xp. It had a factory 18 on it but I could tell it was a little short because I was bumping the tip on brush and tops. Boy what a difference that 2 inches made, and I made 3 cuts in a 22 inch log and the saw had plenty of power to handle that 20 inch bar. You said you don,t know what you are doing and are not a pro, but I beg to differ. Looks to me like you do a fine job with all the equipment and the camera. Real good job and real good videos.
ain't nothing finer than a STIHL with a sharp chain. ENJOY

You are absolutely correct. The 290 has been a great saw for me but I really like the 461
New saw , new hat , they loved seeing you coming at the stihl dealer , did you buy the mini brand new or used
Bought it used. With 500 hrs. Sold a backhoe and traded a bobcat 331 in on it
Thing is a life saver
I like it. Best part is the equipment I sold and traded for it had paid for themselves and then some. So I don't really figure this one owes me much
I love that saw it sounds mean and gets the job done have you herd of any trouble with the saw at all

I'm trying. Haha. I don't think I'm gona get anywhere but I'm trying. There's a facebook page he follows and posts on called log splitter world. I tease him on there sometimes that I need it

I think the internet says 14.6 lbs for the power head plus the bar. This ones a 25 inch bar
What brand is your dump trailer and do you like it ?
It is an iron bull 14 foot with two 7k axles. I love it. Comes in very handy. I've hauled a bunch of concrete and rock and dirt and sand in it for little jobs I do for people. Plus firewood
That machine is pretty expensive , got to be 30-40k new so machines you traded must of been big
