I loved this episode (as I did 1-3). When I watched E4 (earlier today) I was really quite anxious and on edge as to what would happen; something I've never felt for any other SW movie or series before (although I did cry repeatedly in Rogue One...). This is a series that depicts the Empire seriously as a grim oppresive entity (as it should be). Last episode we had Vader killing innocent civilians (notably snapping a little boy's neck😲). This episode we're presented the prospect of a 10 year old girl being tortured....😱

I don't have a very high opinion of "The Clone Wars". My feelings for it are very mixed. Yes, some of the story arcs were pretty damn good. But I was also disappointed with some of the other arcs. Honestly, the series' title should reflect that the setting is about the Star Wars Universe in general during that period.

Which is why I find the idea that it was a necessary connection between "Attack of the Clones" and "Revenge of the Sith" ridiculous. But I still have mixed feelings about it. I dislike the series' portrayal of Anakin Skywalker. It seemed as if Dave Filoni had written the character as some kind of Jedi version of Han Solo. Obi-Wan Kenobi and Padme Amidala came off as nearly too ideal. And the idea that the Jedi Council would assign Anakin, someone they do not regard in the same light as Obi-Wan, a padawan learner is just ridiculous to me. Hell, Obi-Wan should have never had a padawan so soon after becoming a Jedi Knight, which was one of the main points of the PT's story. 6:45 Now that you mention it the episodes of this show do loosely correlate with the movies. We get introduced to a young protagonist in Ep1, we have a noir detective story in Ep2, we get a dark chapter where our protagonists have to confront evil and fail in Ep3, we get our good guys infiltrating and then escaping an Imperial facility to rescue Leia in Ep4. It's a real stretch but if there's anything to this then Ep5 and Ep6 should be absolute bangers of episodes!
In my opinion, I wished you guys started clone wars and rebels four years ago at the same time. So that you guys could understand more about the Inquisitors
11:28 Not sure on many of these, but the first guy in the evil molasses was (probably) Tera Sinube, that old jedi guy from the Lightsaber Lost episode of Clone Wars.
Was actually surprised to see Reva use the force to move objects. She hadn't used it up to this point. Also she'd been punked twice due to the force being used on her and the person she is makes me feel like she would've retaliated with the force. The fact that she didn't made me wonder.
Actually there are conventional guns called slug throwers that do pass through lightsabers unlike the blasters because the slug just gets superheated not destroyed or deflected
Sitting with crossed fingers.... waiting for a clone wars flashback.....As for Suraj's point....I know that Man and kid dynamic has been used a lot in SW, with Bad Batch, Mandalorian and Obi Wan, but I as of personally love this trope, and even though it might be over used, I feel that the only way The Obi Wan show would have worked is if Obi Wan is paired up with either of the Skywalker kids.....Those two are the only reason for his life in that time period..... Protecting those two was the only purpose of his life... If you read any Kenobi books set in that time, all he is doing is protecting Luke from sand storms, Tuskens raiders, the Hurts, Inquisitors (and a certain guy, in Rebels).... That is all he did in that time period.....So what the show is doing is actually what happened, atleast they are trying something new. is it working that well?.... it is but could be better. Regardless, due to that we are getting a story of self discovery......The kids and Obi wan is only what can be shown in a Obi Wan show.....And I will happily re watch the lone wolf and cub story again and again...if it means I get more Obi Wan

It is so much easier to breach with a clipboard than a battering ram..... It does seem to me as if Lola is a "personal security droid" for children. It had the buzzsaw for escaping bindings, it attempted to attack Reva, And such a device should have a tracker on it already. (How Bail knew where they went). Much easier and faster to hack an existing system than add a separate tracker.
I was hoping that at least one of them would recognize Master Tera Sinube, but granted... He was only relevant in one episode of Clone Wars so it's also not that surprising that they don't remember him.
Spidey brings up a good point. Episode 3 like Part 3 both have a Obi/Ani duel. Episode 4 like Part 4 has Obi doing some infiltrating & rescuing Princess Leia from torture and death. This HAS to be on purpose, right? Let's see, I can't really do the same for Parts 1 & 2. But it is interesting that the last 2 Parts have played pretty close to their movie # counterpart. Makes me wonder if Part 5 is where Liam shows up as a Force Ghost to give our hero some advice that will help him face Vader. Or maybe we learn that O'shea Jackson is like Lando in some way....a reluctant hero that becomes a big deal in the Rebellion.
I want some kind of explanation about how Obi Wan aged so much between movies Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope. Something along the lines of Tattoonie's weather being so harsh on the inhabitants.
23:50 Completely agree with Suraj there. The writing of this show is quite basic and uninteresting. There are only select few times when I was genuinely engrossed. Honestly I am finding this show very underwhelming. It’s weird how you can start nostalgic and somehow like the characters less and less each week. I beep expecting Reeva to reveal something interesting but we’re going around in circles. We’ve rescued leia twice!! No flash backs to anakin, no meaningful character developments. It’s like the show just wants to jump in the shallow end of the pool, tread water and climb back out without too much splashing!! Why did we NEED to tell this story?? How many times do I have to watch Vader and Obi Wan fight when I know how this ends!
I mean even if I ignore most bad things about the show ( which is already hard enough) what was that scene with the coat? It seemed like something straight out of a skit.
@@chrischika7026 I disagree. I don't think people think any criticism is hate for the show but many people are being overly critical of it. Just like many people are about all new star wars.

But hey, Obi Wan used a lightsaber, we saw Vader and the Fortress from Fallen Order plus a background character from Clone Wars so I guess that makes it all worth it? Of course there is, that has been present in the Star Wars franchise since the very beginning. I definitely enjoy the show because it's something different.
I think Reva is trying to find the Obi-wan for help, and now that she knows about the path, she want to track him now that she’s found out about it. She was mad when she found the safe house in episode 3 because she had missed her opportunity. And the way she was talking to Leia, it seemed like she was trying to find information about the path without going through any means other than a little girl that she could claim wasn’t a reliable source. I’m guessing that she knows Vader is Anakin because she wants to know any weaknesses before she tries to escape with Obi-Wan. So maybe she’ll finally catch up to him and ask him to take on Vader with her together.
Ahsoka can´t appear in this series since she found out in rebels that anakin is darth vader if i´m not mistaken, Obi would definitely tell her tho if she were to fight him.
I think that the trooper in black armor is a Purge Trooper that was shown in *_Jedi: Fallen Order_* , and that they are clones designed specifically to hunt down Jedi 🤔😰🥺😣😔.
tbf to the stormtrooper. I've worn a helmet before and someone hitting you like unexpectedly can throw you off and also if they're as shit visibility as Captain Rex says they are. For second he probably couldn't see anything.
I feel bad for all the reactors that are forced to slog through this show. There shouldn't be anything that "feels like a filler episode" when it's a the series is only 6 episodes and some are barely more than 30 minutes, credits excluded.
I think Reva was one of those kids in the first episode and was caught and taken into the Inquisitors and now wants revenge on them and the Jedi for not coming to save her. That’s why she is after the Path as the kids are likely either the founders or part of the Path
Shouldn’t they have revealed that by now? She’s coming across as so one dimensional! A whole episode where the only thing that’s achieved is rescuing leia. AGAIN! And a tracker…
@@Wezt334 If that’s the intention they should set the expectation clearly. I’m worried they want to do a Reva show. Ultimately each show should stand alone and be satisfying episode to episode. The only thing that mattered here was the objective, we learnt nothing about our characters. And a CGI hall of dead Jedi I don’t know isn’t interesting. Hell put Mace Windu and qui gon in there if you want that to be scary!!
Finally the show got good!! The end of the last episode was better but this episode finally feels like the show I was expecting. Everything else I found pretty boring which is unfortunate. I honestly was so confused why all of the reaction channels were loving it and so hype when the episodes were really slow. Just a personal opinion though I guess… For me I didnt find there to be any stakes nor any real exciting moments especially in those first two. I mean getting to see Obi Wan in the Obi Wan show was cool but it wasn’t enough…just as getting to see Boba in the Boba show wasn’t really enough either. But this episode was so damn pretty to look at, the music was great, the sounds, the costumes, the special effects, and the pacing all were great!!! What I want from an Obi Wan and Vader show. I am so happy I finally enjoyed some of this show considering it was thee one thing Star Wars I was most excited about.
I'm sad for the fact that I'm not enjoying this show very much, in my opinion it should've been a movie, so far it seems that they don't have a story to last 6 episodes.

I’ve seen RUMORS about a second season, but I haven’t seen anything official (if anybody can cite some sources, please do) but honestly I hope they don’t try to stretch this out. I’m enjoying the heck out of this show (and the haters can fight me) but I don’t want them to make a second season just for the sake of making a second season. I’d only want them to do it if it serves the story, and I don’t think they can stretch this past six episodes. Also to your point of the plot being enjoyable but really basic and similar to a new hope, well…… so was force awakens and most of us still enjoy that anyway 🤷♀️🙃
the repeated the having to breakout a captured leia to show the diff mindset of obi wan. It mirroring, showing obi wan in first time was scared really disconnected and hardly used force. End of episode he just afraid and doubting because of vader. Whole point in this episode is he had to let go of that and focus on leia, we focus and let go of the fear. More assured more connected to the force again. It not just repeating for sake of it . purposely done to show the difference in kenobi the progression

The stockton slap was confusing but she is a trained officer.
I said the exact same thing how no water get pass at all 🤣
the black armored troopers are Purge Troopers from Fallen Order
Leia actress is the same of "Bird Box" movie, she is amazing !
I think that the trooper in black armor is a Purge Trooper that was shown in *_Jedi: Fallen Order_* , and that they are clones designed specifically to hunt down Jedi 🤔😰🥺😣😔.
25:50 yeah, that's not gonna happen
1000% that's not gonna happen
tbf to the stormtrooper. I've worn a helmet before and someone hitting you like unexpectedly can throw you off and also if they're as shit visibility as Captain Rex says they are. For second he probably couldn't see anything.
The bacta tank is low-key better than the force at healing people
I feel bad for all the reactors that are forced to slog through this show. There shouldn't be anything that "feels like a filler episode" when it's a the series is only 6 episodes and some are barely more than 30 minutes, credits excluded.
So sense you guys bleep fallen order can you guys also bleep Star fox references as well😂
Wasn't that a purge trooper, not a death trooper. Death troopers are supposed to be much taller
@@terminatrix92 it could just be a slow burn, if anything the pacing of the show makes me think they intended it to be at least 2 season
@@terminatrix92 that’s your opinion, I disagree but that ok we don’t all need to be entertained by the same things
The problem with the show is...i waited 30 years to find out that this happened?...jeez..i was better off when i was wondering what had happen?
It's like the Prequels all over again.
son, if that was a Death trooper that door was not gonna be a problem for it, do you even SW bro?
Guessing they keep those Force-sensitive people in amber for that sweet midichlorian Dino DNA.
Open the Blast Shield doors, Lola!
I would love a second season of "Obi-Wan Kenobi" . . . but only if it was necessary to the story.
That was not a Death Trooper that was a Purge Trooper. They are in Jedi Fallen order.
After eepisode 1 I had hope this show was gonna be good, but it deteriorated faster than Will Smith's career.
Spanning fifty years and culminating with an academy award?
Shout out to kenobi vapes XD
Pretty sure this is the base from the last mission on fallen order
I'm sad for the fact that I'm not enjoying this show very much, in my opinion it should've been a movie, so far it seems that they don't have a story to last 6 episodes.
Thank you , I swear people think any criticism is just straight hate for the show or you are just racist or sexist. Also that you should essentially never criticize any piece of media because if you do you should just not watch it which is ridiculous
@@chrischika7026 Why do you keep posting the same comment?

I know a lot of people hate on the show, and while it is underwhelming in many areas, I don't mind putting up with it to see obi wan and Darth Vader.
I wouldn't mind a second season of "Obi-Wan Kenobi". As for "The Force Awakens" . . . not a fan. Sorry.
The little girl is from bird box movie
It's a Purge Trooper (from Jedi Fallen Order), not Death Trooper. :)
Stormtroopers still can't hit their target 😄
You know. seeing Damarin sat between Chris and Spidey is really making me crave a ice cream sandwich and idk why.
Hey that's racist😁
the repeated the having to breakout a captured leia to show the diff mindset of obi wan.
Did any Rebels fans get Kanan vibes from that one scene? Not as intense of course but it made me think of it
The Entirety of Empire Strikes Back is made up of fetch quests.
A little Force Unleashed tribute
Yea almost letting them escape in that disguise with Leia literally hiding under a trench coat uhhh...my only theory is in order to be complicit in all the obvious evil the Empire does stormtroopers have to be mostly really dumb
Nah just real bad writing.
@@edge85saint it's not though
Vader didn´t choose Mustafar. The Emperor did it to yes remind him of his pain and defeat
I'm pretty sure Vader chose mustafar as a source for his own hate
In the new canon vader chose mustafar
