14:45 There's actually a reason for that. Jedi categorized ways a lightsaber could be used against an opponent as escalating "marks of contact." Starting with "sun djem", which is disarming the opponent of their weapon without actually harming them, followed by "shiim" a cut with the edge of the blade (what we see Kenobi doing here), followed by "cho mai" cutting off an opponent's weapon hand (like Vader did against Luke), followed by "cho sun", which was cutting off their whole weapon arm (Old Ben against Ponda Baba in Mos Eisley Cantina), followed by "cho mok", which was an otherwise unspecified amputation of a limb, followed by "shiak", which was stabbing an opponent (like Reva did to the Grand Inquisitor, or Maul to Qui-Gon), followed by "sai cha", which was decapitation, followed by "sai tok" which was cutting an opponent in half (like Obi-Wan did to Maul), followed by "mou kei", which was complete dismemberment (like Obi-Wan did to Vader on Mustafar). Mou kei was considered to be so brutal and savage and uncivilized that it was reserved only for the absolute extreme last resort against a dangerous enemy. See, Jedi respected a certain hierarchy of what was considered acceptable expression of violence and levels of harm. You'll see them use sai tok and sai cha with abandon against droids in the prequels, but that's considered to be uncivilized savagery against living beings, unless there's no other choice. So, you'll see them go for cho mai or cho sun, which neutralizes a threat, and in a galaxy with such easy access to advanced cybernetics, is seen as a less "permanent" injury. Part of the reason blasters were considered "uncivilized" is because it lacked the capability of nuance/selection of degree of injury. You'll never see a Jedi wantonly slaughter living beings with sai tok and worse unless they're already falling to the dark side. We only see Kenobi use sai tok against Maul and mou kei against Vader because in both cases he was slightly to moderately outclassed by each opponent, and he couldn't afford to pull any punches if he wanted to survive. So, Kenobi using shiim against these stormtroopers is perfectly in line with the lore.
Holy cow. Thank you! That gives so much more nuance to his actions. Disney/LucasFilm are not being lame, Obi-wan is showing restraint on the battlefield.
I read Leia not playing mini psychoanalyst on Reva as a mixture of her concentrating on not giving up any information and trying not to show fear. It's also possible she wasn't gonna telegraph that particular skill of hers because she was definitely playing to her age. It's only when she pulls the "I need to tell my father, that's okay because we're on the same side, right?" does Reva get that Leia is a lot more savvy than most 10 year olds.
FTR: Reva wasn’t wrong and wasn’t being irrational. Leia at the very least knew of the name of the planet where the Path base was. Obi even said that was one of the reasons they needed to get her back.
During the meeting with The Path, it was mentioned that Leia knows where The Path is located, so yeah, Reva is right. Probably because Tala told them where she was taking them before they went down the secret tunnel
@@playlistb3795 Yeah, not too smart to have a big glowing button to open the tunnel, or allowing refugees to carve messages in the wall, or to tell people where the next step in the Path is.
Awesome Reaction 👍 Given Best line of the episode: Leia "Is this a staring contest?" Best scene of the episode: "YOU WERE WARNED!" Vader doesn't give Reva the standard gentle "I find your lack of faith disturbing" force choke. He gave her the full "Cocked-Back-Yanked-Off-Your-Feet" force choke!
I saw a theory today that saying those Jedi corpses in space amber serve a similar purpose as Luminara’s body in Rebels--to lure the surviving Jedi in, which also explains why the fortress is so easily to get into. They want the Jedi to come, and trap them there.
Really miss Adam's editing. Missing key moments like the final scene between Ob-Wan and Baby Leia. Reactions to those type of scenes is what drove me to this channel.
I’m still good with it. She’s obviously ambitious, and even without her whole background, (which I’ll bet you anything happens next week, along with Obi-Wan’s final acceptance of the Anakin situation leading to a greater sense of balance with the Force. Besides, you know how they love their episode fives) you can tell she’s doing her best to curry favor with Vader to become the next GI.
I hope we don't get more Reva screentime. She's a waste of space, there are only 2 more episodes left, we cannot risk having stupid Reva taking up all the space, this is obi Wan Kenobi, not random guacamole.
The great part about Reva wanting the GI position and Vader seemingly giving her a chance is great, because I feel like he has already made sure she's failed, he's just letting her build him a plate of knowledge so to speak, and he'll kill her once she can no longer give him any.
I like how, in the Empire, they don’t bother with things like chain of command. Tala might have been a superior officer, but she was not that dude’s commanding officer. He’d have been well within his duties to detain her. He’d have probably gotten a promotion for it.
The thing is, in the Empire, once an officer reaches a certain level, they're dealing with people who will indiscriminately slaughter them on the slightest excuse. That's an officer culture that percolates downward. You either learn quickly that you don't f--- with your superiors, or you're going to have a short and bloody career.
or worse you get transferred to location that really really sucks in which you might die there due to constantly fighting insurrections like we've seen in Solo or Mando. Either way, you learn quickly you dont fuck with officers a higher rank then you.
I’m not yet convinced that all those people were dead. If they wanted to keep them for cloning or something similar, they didn’t have to keep the whole bodies. I think it’s possible that they’re all Force-sensitive people that they are keeping in suspended animation. Something akin to what they did with Han, only using a different substance. Maybe that’s why Vader was sure Han’s freezing process would work. Well, we’ll see. I agree that this was, perhaps, the weakest episode as well as being the shortest, but they always do that with the middle episode. I agree about Reva. They haven’t shown enough, at this point, for her rage to be earned, in a narrative sense. We think she’s a padwan who was turned and feels abandoned but that hasn’t been officially confirmed. For me, each of these series has some little weaknesses, with “The Mandalorian” being the strongest of all, in terms of all-around excellence. So, Reva doesn’t really bother me. The underlying story of Ben and Leia is great and that is really all I care about. And, I have a feeling that Reva will reveal her story by the end. Or, it will be revealed.
I agree. There’s not one of their videos where I don’t end up laughing for five straight at something one of them said. And, they’re not trying to make jokes; they’re just naturally funny.

In the star wars role playing game, my whole party was taken prisoner by the Empire. They brought them to a base like this. I was the Ewok of the group. What I did was ... I took a carcass of a R2 unit, had pedals and levers inside, voiced "beep boop" in Ewok voice to pretend to be a R2 unit and get inside the base. .... ... .... and after much sweating and a battle with a real, black evil R2 unit, it worked! I ditched the R2 disguise, got into the ventilation system, and ultimately found the detention area and freed them. We blasted our way out of the base. Victory!
I agree that it's frustrating that Reva's story hasn't been revealed yet. It's not like they have lots of time to reveal it. That's disappointing. I loved seeing Vader get furious with her though, that was satisfying considering I feel it's what she deserves for the way she chooses to act, even if there is a reason behind her behavior, which I'm sure there is. If you're pissing off Darth Vader, you're doing something wrong, for sure. She has to get it together but I don't know if that will happen within two more episodes, honestly, I doubt it. I love Obi-Wan and Leia's connection, it's so sweet. That moment when she grabbed his hand was so cute. Side note, I'm pretty sure that Kylo's helmet is featured in the helmet intro. At least I'm pretty sure that I've seen it but maybe I'm wrong. Anyways, I'm excited to see where the story goes next.
Yeah, I was saying in another comment that it felt like she was actually conflicted about what she was about to do to Leia, but its probably what she went through. Admitting its wrong would be admitting everything she became because of it is wrong. It felt subtle enough to work if the series was longer and they had time to develop that. I'd like to see that, actually. Its make sense as to why she's so intense and determined, she's overcompensating and trying to force herself to be what she's trying to convince herself she is, to cope with what's been done to her. And then slowly having her accept everything and ending with some grand self sacrifice to save someone. But like you said, there's just not enough _time_ left, unless there's a season 2 or a straight up Inquisitor series in the works
Inquisitors are the characters you make when you want a villain who can die in the story you’re telling, so I’m not surprised if next episode features her backstory. I’m curious to see who’ll kill her though.
Yeah, I can’t help but compare her to Trilla--and she didn’t even get that many lines! You know you messed up when a video game villain did better characterization than you.
Reva was the Youngling in the temple who said "we run". She was captured and tortured into compliance. She waited for the Jedi to come and rescue her, but they never did. The Inquisitors told her the same things she said to the people on Tatoonie, about how the Jedi abandoned them, how they didn't car and they wouldn't help if they were there. She blames Obi Wan, as she told Leia, you brought this on yourself, no one is coming to save you.
The problem is, she is in a show that's got Vader, Kenobi, and Leia. They are trying to force me to get into this new Reva character by giving her lots of screen time. It's not working. I don't care about Reva. Make her more of a side character like Tala. Tala has less screen time, they aren't forcing me to focus on her, and yet I'm intrigued by her story enough i hope to see more of her.
Oh man that was so much fun! I loved seeing Ben slicing and dicing and force using again. And Reva’s and Leah’s dynamic. I wanted more of that. I also really like the bacta comparison at the beginning and the PTSD flashbacks. Though I thought the sequence would be longer and with more flashbacks. But next episode maybe. Ben pulled an Ahsoka with him killing those storm troopers in the dark. I thought that scene was about to get real dark in another way. I just wish it was a little longer. Also the Obi Wan thing isn’t a huge deal for me. Maybe she forgot or maybe he or her father warned her to only call him Ben after all this happened.
So far, she’s already said what her motivation is. She wants a promotion. She knows that Obi Wan is Vader’s white whale. And to their knowledge, he’s the last of the Jedi Council. She’s basically trying to be what Assaj Ventress was to Dooku. Don’t think the mind reading Leia does would work on Reva. Her mind might be too strong. The cousin, in her read of him, was weak-minded.
Completely different circumstances as well. Schmoozing at a buffet, being threatened with imminent death. Not many 10 year olds, no matter how saucy (“Is this a staring contest?”) are going to have the ultimate wherewithal to spar with a scary unhinged woman.
If you remember in a new hope Vader says the reason he didn't succeed with interacting Leia was because she was strong minded and resisted his force interagagation
@@Heavensrun how did she show it? she probably doesnt even know what it is... force mind-reading doesnt work automatically on everyone you know, just like mindtrick doesnt... the strong minded can resist it. (which Leia is... both strong minded AND force sensitive, but theres no way for Reva to distinguish which)
Watching on mobile and jay goes high pitch for the opening and i feel my speaker puff my face with a cold wave of air so i literally feel him sing it. Best interactive experience ever. Lol
When Vader paces towards Reva saying ‘there can be no mistakes’ jeeesssuuussss that shit scared the life out of me watching it, imagine standing in front of him
We were promised Anakin as Vader and we got 95% Reva, 5% Hayden, although they used him for all the promo campaign, to draw in fans. I feel cheated, and it's pissing me off.
The padawan in...amber? Was credited by the same child actor from the opening scene of the first episode. So...I think that's confirmation that Reva was one of the younglings and they got caught, she defected. Also the very first master Kenobi sees is very similar to one from Clone Wars that helps Ahsoka find her missing lightsaber, one who was a friend of Yoda and also taught younglings. And those troopers in black are purge troopers I think, as seen in Fallen Order.
I can tell u right now already, Reva is gunna "turn" back to Jedi in the end. And help Obi-wan. She was doubting pressing the torture button on liea before she got interrupted. It was very small, but obvious.
If that happens then this series will officially cross the line into suck territory. That "turn" will be absolutely unearned from a storytelling perspective.
@@steveprice33 Ive been enjoying the story thusfar, but to me it seems very obvious she will turn.. Cuz Disney. I do apreciate how Obi-wan is struggling but little by little is getting back in touch with his old jedi ways tho. Its just the Reva character itself i dislike.
This episode was so short and a flashback or two could have given it umph. During the bacta tank scene intertwining Kenobi and Vader in the tanks with an Anakin/Obi-wan interaction during the clone wars. And during the interrogation, Leia saying, “I heard you were once Jedi and now you hunt them. Why would you do this?” And a Reva flashback. I got 32 minutes for that episode. I’m sure these two flashback scenes could have added a good ten minutes to this one.
Agreed, Jay, it is frustrating that we have had zero character expansion for Reva. I will say though, Moses Ingram is doing a great job. I compare her to Zelena from Once Upon a Time. She is so good at being the worst that you can't help hating her every step of the way.
I think they're saving the Reva backstory for a reason, so I feel like I can't really accurately judge the show or character for that yet, I mean it's only going to be an episode or so more until we get it. I think elements of her backstory are going to have a major effect on the climax of the plot which is specifically *why* they are saving it for later, so it doesn't bother me to the extent that it seems to be bothering everyone else on the internet, lmao. IDK. I've been in some really gross comment sections today and I find some of the hate towards Reva really off-putting (and the racism, holy shit, some people think that is exaggerated but I saw way too many horrible comments today and let me tell you that shit is not exaggerated) so I appreciate you guys like, breaking down your opinions about her in a way that was writing-based and amusing and generally lighthearted. It's always nice especially in a fan culture that is usually filled with SO much negativity, it's why I keep coming back to your channel! Love yall can't wait for the next one
9:08 I actually think these creators could pull off Jar-Jar. Though they’d probably kill him off to give us what we want, they’d probably find some way to make us like him before he dies.
If Leia had pulled a Rey and read Reva's mind instead, she'd be dead. It'd be too obvious that she's force sensitive. The way it was now, she could just be strong-willed
The Empire clearly doesn't do any kind of experimenting with the RGB settings on their electronic devices... They obviously set everything to "Static Red" and let it ride.
Jay, a surprise preview'd video for Adam is the best idea I've heard since Tuesday's being shirtless volleyball day on your patreon. I would kill for that
I loved this episode (as I did 1-3). When I watched E4 (earlier today) I was really quite anxious and on edge as to what would happen; something I've never felt for any other SW movie or series before (although I did cry repeatedly in Rogue One...). This is a series that depicts the Empire seriously as a grim oppresive entity (as it should be). Last episode we had Vader killing innocent civilians (notably snapping a little boy's neck😲). This episode we're presented the prospect of a 10 year old girl being tortured....😱
Jay hitting those high notes!👏🏼😂 also I really enjoyed this episode but yeah my one complaint with the show is that they haven’t shown us why Reva hates the Jedi so much. I mean clearly when she was talking about being abandoned And having to save yourself she was speaking from experience but like I wanna know what happened to her.
Frankly I dont see why a villain cant just be evil for evil's sake. In A New Hope there wasnt any nuance to Darth Vader. He was the epitome of evil and people didnt care "why".
I think all of the Jedi in the tomb are either there to be cloned for experiments or to be used to lure other Jedi to their death. In Rebels, we see the Inquisitor using Master Luminara's remains to lure Kanan and Ezra into a trap. 13:20 If Obi-Wan can do this, now we just need someone to give us a live action Starkiller and about 15 more Stormtroopers in the same scenario for all to be EPIC.
We've barely gotten to see Hayden in this show and that's just disappointing. It makes me just wonder what the point was of bringing him back if it's just for a few shots of him in the bacta tank, in the Vader suit sometimes, and him showing up as a hallucination in Episode 3.
I think bringing him back is important because he is who should be vader. You could definitely just have someone else in the suit but if you bring Ewan back, you gotta bring Hayden back too. Its just right.
What I really enjoy about this series so far is how incredibly poetic it is, so many shots are direct parallels to other movies, the cinematography is done so well, this entire thing is a love letter to the two Lucas trilogies. Also, have you noticed how each episode represents the correspondent movie? Like, the first episode is largely set on Tatooine, in the lower-class economy of slaves and laborers, where much of The Phantom Menace took place and it's about someone who lived a monotone life there for 10 years leaving for an important mission. In the second episode, the mood and atmosphere of the place strongly resembles the bustling metropolis of Attack of the Clones' early sequences, where Obi-Wan chases an assassin. In AOTC, the villains hire a bounty hunter to kill Padme; in Kenobi, the Sith send bounty hunters after Padme’s daughter. (Also, in the Kenobi episode correspondent to Attack of the Cloney, we actually got to see a clone). Both ROTS and “Part III” climax with a lightsaber duel between Obi-Wan and Anakin/Vader. In ROTS, Obi-Wan is victorious and Anakin is horrifically burned, leading to his transformation into Vader. In Kenobi, Vader wins and Kenobi gets burned. BUT BOTH TIMES, the burned person is left alive to suffer even more. A New Hope’s central story involves a rescue mission to retrieve Princess Leia from the Death Star. Obi-Wan’s “Part IV” has a different location - the Inquisitor’s fortress - but the same basic plot, with Obi-Wan undertaking an incredibly dangerous quest to save Leia from the Sith. As in A New Hope, one of the heroes even has to disguise themselves as a member of the Empire, with Tala using her Imperial uniform to sneak around the base undetected Also, the quote "This is not a fortress, it's a tomb" might be a parallel to "this is not a moon, it's a space ship" and Leia in And at the end of ANH, Vader let's them escape on purpose, because there's a tracker on their ship - same thing happened here.
I really like the overall story, i have problems with how certain scenes are shot, specially the action and certain dialogue... But at least i'm entertain by the overall story Really love obi wan quickly recovering his connection with the force and everything coming back to him
Probably the closest person that could get you one of those JD power awards... They are in a display case at the manufacturer's HQs. Not usually something a lowly commoner will have their hands on. 😆
I agree, Jay. The actor/actress, director, and screen/scriptwriter make the movie. Bad actor? Director’s fault. Bad direction? Director’s fault. Bad storyline, script? Screen/Scriptwriter fault. Bad production release? Allowing crap to make it the the screen? Producers fault. Thanks, Kathleen. It’s the same, for example, with the current Doctor Who series. It’s not not Jodi’s fault, it’s the production’s fault. And it’s been the same problem in a lot of shows and movies for the last 80 years. But it’s how you and Adam made a living. And thank you for that. I’ve always loved your humor and observations over the years.
Jay, what you said about Leia just reading Reva in that moment is exactly what I kept expecting to happen and it never happened. I was so disappointed, because yeah! That would have been the world's easiest quick fix to the ZERO MOTIVATIONS problem of this villain.
Now, now. Let’s not be “specist”. There are lots of other races in the galaxy where the adults are much smaller than human adults. So, I wouldn’t necessarily say that the restraints on the devices are “child-sized”. They have variable sizes for various species. The small ones just happened to fit Leia. Doesn’t make the machine less heinous. Just efficient and, in a horrible way, inclusive. The Empire will abuse anybody.
Omg I bust out laughing at the intro every single time. This week in particular. But I’m starting to agree with you about Reva. I don’t want her dead, but I really need more back story to justify the way she’s acting and why she’s so obsessed with Kenobi. Some people thinks she wants revenge on Vader. But I’ll reserve judgment until the show is over. I hear there might be a season 2. But I agree I expected Leah to do her intuition thing.
It's a limited series. This is the only season they will do. Not saying they can't do another, but for the time being they said this is the only season
I've been wondering how you guys would view the turn of events in this one. I don't want to be (that guy), but there are some issues with this that just aren't it for what we should be getting. No real issues with the acting or cast ither. Obi Wan is great. Leia is awesome. Reva is okay, but they kind of left too much on the table. I mean 2 episodes left, and they gonna need to be 2 hours long to fill us in.
If Leia had read her like she read her cousin, that would’ve put her on their radar. Cuz like… they’d have known. It’s not like her peers who don’t know any better. they’d know what that skill was, and send her right to Vader.
Pay no attention to the bearded officer in the ill fitting coat smuggling undeclared produce to the landing bay with no ships close by. Had they called an uber?

With all the crap flying around the internet regarding this show, I was gratified by the honest and balanced review you guys gave the episode. Thank you. Personally, I have mixed feelings about this series. On one hand, the visuals and setting are sweet, sweet eye candy. Everything LOOKS cool. The actors seem to be doing a fair to excellent job with their material. The story, however, seems to be coming apart at the seams. There are several narrative threads that have been left hanging for too long, and if you tug at them too hard, I fear that the whole thing will come apart. 😕 It feels like perhaps fans in general (including myself) are a special breed- We grew up loving this stuff, and have spent countless hours imagining stories about it. We’ve had so much experience doing this for fun that It’s gotten to the point where we can now effortlessly think up a solid, logical and satisfying plot line on a whim. We expect the folks getting paid to do this to have at least as much investment as we do. Instead, it often feels like they’ve been approaching it as a chore, forcing themselves to mechanically whip up whatever. They love the material about as much as I imagine a convenience store clerk loves the cash register they work with. I don’t hate the show, and I’ll keep watching until it ends. It’s alright, for the most part. The disappointing thing is, I don’t want it to just be “alright,” I want it to be OUTSTANDING. And it COULD be, if only the folks making it loved it as much as we do.
Exactly it is good, but for an Obi-Wan show, it needs to be AMAZING Seems like lucasfilm brought their B game, but for THE FREAKING OBI WAN KENOBI SHOW they should have and NEED to bring their A game.
It's definitely a mixed bag. I love obi wan and Vader as characters, but reva is just seemingly just evil because she's evil. Hopefully they go into why she hates the jedi so much. Plus the action scenes are kinda weak.
This is a nitpick but they're technically just speeders unless someone has decided to retcon it. Han had to go out and make Luke his own Tauntaun sleeping bag because they were "having trouble adapting them to the cold".
The more I think about it, the more I'm in agreement with you guys on the character development of Reva. Ep 3 prolly shoulda had a brief flash of something about her past, and this ep shoulda started expanding on it. Fun uber-nerd fact: The light saber form Obi-Wan adopted after Qui-gon was killed... form 3, otherwise known as Soresu... evolved from the training used to teach how to deflect blaster bolts. So, there may be no better way for Obi-Wan to "shake off the rust" than prolonged hallway battles where he's gotta deflect a ton of bolts. (did the writers really look this deep into this....... prolly not. Fun lil factoid tho ;) )

Stun grenade...then blaster to the face. Go get on with life.

@@playlistb3795 Yeah, not too smart to have a big glowing button to open the tunnel, or allowing refugees to carve messages in the wall, or to tell people where the next step in the Path is.
@@misteryman526 yep, that was not good. These guys are absolute shit at organization and secrecy
@@playlistb3795 That's kind of the point. Most of the 'heroes' are dead. These are literally just what's left.
That hallway flooding is truly the: "MY CABBAGES!" of the Star Wars universe. =D
Awesome Reaction 👍 Given
Best line of the episode: Leia "Is this a staring contest?"
Best scene of the episode: "YOU WERE WARNED!" Vader doesn't give Reva the standard gentle "I find your lack of faith disturbing" force choke. He gave her the full "Cocked-Back-Yanked-Off-Your-Feet" force choke!
That wasn't a Dark Trooper it was a Purge Trooper.
yet another fallen order reference😁
Came here to comment this exactly as soon as he said it.
YEP JEDI FALLEN ORDER PURGE TROOPERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So freaking many
I saw a theory today that saying those Jedi corpses in space amber serve a similar purpose as Luminara’s body in Rebels--to lure the surviving Jedi in, which also explains why the fortress is so easily to get into.
The writing still sucks.
Great reaction as always! My heart broke when I saw Master Sinube in that tank :(
21:23 absolutely all the respect for Jay laying the call out on the table with feeling.
I love how wholesome adam and jay are, they always make my day. Thoroughly enjoying all of the amazing content guys!
I agree. There’s not one of their videos where I don’t end up laughing for five straight at something one of them said. And, they’re not trying to make jokes; they’re just naturally funny.
Adam - Askes why they have child size restraints.
Debra Chow - Queue the dead Jedi Youngling encased in amber.
Also various aliens in different shapes and sizes.
@@elsarabrook4273 Not wrong, perhaps a certain child, with an emerald complexion was once there.
@Lesley lol true.
Also it probably isn't a good idea for Leia to show that she's force sensitive in the middle of Fortress Inquisitorius.
@@Heavensrun how did she show it? she probably doesnt even know what it is... force mind-reading doesnt work automatically on everyone you know, just like mindtrick doesnt... the strong minded can resist it. (which Leia is... both strong minded AND force sensitive, but theres no way for Reva to distinguish which)
Leira does know where the path is because she learn the episode before
"I’m endlessly charming at all times"
That should be on a t-shirt.
Watching on mobile and jay goes high pitch for the opening and i feel my speaker puff my face with a cold wave of air so i literally feel him sing it. Best interactive experience ever. Lol
Snowspeeders can hover now? that would make the battle of Hoth much easier
Underwater base,...with windows. Is that so the Stormtroopers can see the pretty fishies?
*The one Chessarina in the audience* 😳
Man singing an Obi-Wan theme song to Duel Of The Fates has me rolling! I have now been singing that in my head for like an hour! lmao
One of the few reactions worth refreshing the page for! Side note, amazing seeing Purge Troopers in live action even if briefly
That’s for sure.
Love yall can't wait for the next one
if she was introduced in something like the bad batch I doubt anyone would have a problem with her tbf
@@Legs05 I swear animation breaks the fall.
9:08 I actually think these creators could pull off Jar-Jar. Though they’d probably kill him off to give us what we want, they’d probably find some way to make us like him before he dies.
“When in Rome…”
That’s the show that introduced me to Indira Varma!
If Leia had pulled a Rey and read Reva's mind instead, she'd be dead. It'd be too obvious that she's force sensitive. The way it was now, she could just be strong-willed
Tala woke up this morning and rolled a Nat 20 on her deception check.
Can I just say I love both of your abilities to improv hilarious little songs relating to the show. it's fantastic 😂
Reva is mace windu’s daughter. She feels betrayed that he left her to fend for herself.
I’m with you Jay!! Let’s get some Episode 1-3 lightsaber action up in heerre!! Ugh!!
Darth Vader walking down the hallway angry, what do yo do??? Ruuuuuunn
"they don't pay me enough to check out sounds". LMAO🤣🤣🤣🤣
@19:53
About that - the Sith use the dead bodies to attract other Jedi. They are not actually dead, but frozen. It forces Jedi to act.
Frankly I dont see why a villain cant just be evil for evil's sake. In A New Hope there wasnt any nuance to Darth Vader. He was the epitome of evil and people didnt care "why".
"enjoy ____, you're very rude." has to be one of my favorite recurring jokes.
Yep this is how I see it too. Doing what they were doing to grogu and using them as a trap
"child sized restraints"
"Judge me by my size do you?"
Hopefully they'll explain more of Reva's behavior in the last two episodes
... or the upcoming Reva mini-series.
No, but with the endless stream of Disney shows, it sounds plausible.
Hopefully there will be a flash back in one of the coming episodes. Also he will be the in the Ashoka show anyways so might as well have him in this
@@AtticsTV No I understand That, but they just haven't used him a lot.
It's not Lola's fault. Give the droid a break 🤣
As in A New Hope, one of the heroes even has to disguise themselves as a member of the Empire, with Tala using her Imperial uniform to sneak around the base undetected
Also, the quote "This is not a fortress, it's a tomb" might be a parallel to "this is not a moon, it's a space ship" and Leia in
And at the end of ANH, Vader let's them escape on purpose, because there's a tracker on their ship - same thing happened here.
that is the old jedi master Tera Sinube in the library who helped Ahsoka to retrieve her lightsaber in clone wars...
I really like the overall story, i have problems with how certain scenes are shot, specially the action and certain dialogue... But at least i'm entertain by the overall story
Really love obi wan quickly recovering his connection with the force and everything coming back to him

Can I say this is PTSD on a galactic level far, far away?
Ahhhh....the soothing sounds of Jay falsetto 😌🤌🏽

Lola! Betrayal!
What a weird fucking comment lmao
12:27 this is the same empire that had infant sized handcuffs that they used on Grogu...
If Leia had read her like she read her cousin, that would’ve put her on their radar. Cuz like… they’d have known. It’s not like her peers who don’t know any better. they’d know what that skill was, and send her right to Vader.

ADAM: "IAMYOURCOMMANDINGOFFICERYOUWILLCALLMESIR."
We all knew you'd make a great Imperial, Adam!
I just love the way Vader came storming out of his office all pissed off with Reba.
16:49 I noticed that nod to Thor & Captain America in Age Of Ultron. Nice pull 👍🏻
Pay no attention to the bearded officer in the ill fitting coat smuggling undeclared produce to the landing bay with no ships close by. Had they called an uber?
They were just going back to Tala's ship.
You'd think, buts well offto the left.

She’s an inquisitor. She’s empire.
Vader charging into a room angry and yelling is absolutely terrifying. It actually made me a little afraid of him for a moment.
So Vader was on that station the whole time, but he didn't sense Obi-Wan, and neither did Obi sense him? Yeah, right...
That episode was the live action version of going through the last area of the Jedi Fallen Order game with an homage to the trailer to The Force Unleashed 2 game rolled into one. Lol
I keep imagining an OSHA sign, "It has been five years since the last Jedi incursion."
Funny how they comment that Kylo's helmet needed to be in the little opening thing, it is! Right after C3PO's face.

I KNOW RIGHT!?!? And I was thinking to myself like I heard of T 37 but I couldnt place it until the reveal of Snowspeeders!!!!!!!!!! WHICH IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!
Nothing wrong with being patient and waiting for more details about Reva.
Vader would not back off that easily just because she said one thing. She wouldn't need a tracker if they didn't escape.
If they didn't escape she wouldn't have their location of the path
He did plenty of times in the OT.
@@jackdubz4247 it's so weird to see the anger at her, like she's an absolute mirror of the Vader we get in a new hope, oh cant tell leia is force sensitive, well um neither did vader. Uses a tracking trick for a bigger payoff, vader on death star

Both of you have an amazing chemistry, I truly LOVE your reactions!
So no one noticed Reva’s eyes water up a bit nor the brief dismay in her face when she was stalling in torturing Leia?
With all the crap flying around the internet regarding this show, I was gratified by the honest and balanced review you guys gave the episode. Thank you.
Personally, I have mixed feelings about this series. On one hand, the visuals and setting are sweet, sweet eye candy. Everything LOOKS cool. The actors seem to be doing a fair to excellent job with their material. The story, however, seems to be coming apart at the seams. There are several narrative threads that have been left hanging for too long, and if you tug at them too hard, I fear that the whole thing will come apart. 😕
It feels like perhaps fans in general (including myself) are a special breed- We grew up loving this stuff, and have spent countless hours imagining stories about it.
Exactly it is good, but for an Obi-Wan show, it needs to be AMAZING
Seems like lucasfilm brought their B game, but for THE FREAKING OBI WAN KENOBI SHOW they should have and NEED to bring their A game.
It's definitely a mixed bag. I love obi wan and Vader as characters, but reva is just seemingly just evil because she's evil. Hopefully they go into why she hates the jedi so much. Plus the action scenes are kinda weak.
Whatever Reva wants, Lola gets.
And little Ben, little Lola wants you.
First time I've been here in the first minute of upload! This episode was good, but I had a few issues with pacing and some of the acting throughout it. There were some great parallels between Obi-Wan and Anakin especially with the bacta tank.
This episode was the one that really lost me. Hoping episode 5 and 6 really bring it all home.
For months, i have been saying to my cat: "Are you a cutie? With a bootie? Are you a cutie with a bootie? Are you a cutie with a widdle cutie wootie bootie?" And for MONTHS, months i tell you, I've been wracking my brain, trying to remember where i heard the phrase from. And FINALLY, at 22:39 i realize where i heard it from.

I mean - you bring a good point about some aspects but I only thought of they were "skipping" on the transitions - like the doors holding the water back, could've shown how they closed but that wasn't important so they skimped on that. not a bad thing in and of itself
When Vader is walking with a purpose, you know you're screwed.
I love it in every episode Obi-Wan is getting a little bit more of his master Jedi flow back
A little Barry 🎶 at end i see that! 🤣
Reva conveniently neglecting to mind pump the people right in front of her that have ALL the vital information, even when she thinks they're lying is getting old.
