I'm an English fan to the bitter end (which was apparently quite close this weekend!) but I'd just like to say how much I enjoyed this interview and how professional Andy Farrell and Johnny Sexton are. There is a sense of humility and that just gives me such respect for a sport which is often perceived as being quite brutal. Yes it is a physical game, but the way France and Ireland are playing at the moment, both teams are pushing the boundaries of the sport in a really meaningful way. They are not only winning as teams but the sport is winning as a sporting 'genre' because of the attitude they have.
I remember after Georgia beat, I think it was Wales, the Georgia captain spoke after the match and he was so humble and constantly thanked the interviewer at the end of each comment he made. I had a huge amout of respect for him, not only as a player, but the amazing character he showed in victory. Amazing.
It's no wonder the U20s trashed the Scots on Friday night, they get to play against the best team in the world. You get a lot of learnings from that.
Its kinda funny to see James Lowe , Bundee Aki, JGP and Mac Hansen playing so well for Ireland . None of these players were really in the conversation for NZ or in Hansen's case Aus back in the day.
Poor Andy looks exhausted and he wasn't even o. The pitch. Congrats to our boys. 5 injuries team moved around and we still won.
Andy Farrell’s accent becomes increasingly Irish by the day. Totally identifies with the Ireland.

@@bluetheminx Was it the surname Farrell that gave it away? He married a woman called O'Loughlin too, so Owen Farrell is like 100% Irish stock playing for England.

Crazy decision about the new ball, is the ball in play not the active ball what happens if the ball goes into the crowd do the players have to wait for the crowd to return it, Farrell is our new Jack Charlton such an amazing coach !
If it hadn't been disallowed they would have beaten Scotland by a lot more...many disruptions that first half but that decision was totally ridiculous

Thankfully the ball issue didn't impact the outcome of the game. It is a very rare occurance but by the same token it is something that needs to be addressed by rugby's governing body. It's not fair to have one team punished for the sins of their opponent. Something like that should be considered a technical foul resulting in some kind of sanctioning of the offending team. I think advantage should have been given here, and if a try is scored as a result of that, then the try should stand.

Change that immediately world rugby .. ridiculous
I can understand it if the new ball and the ball in use are super far away from each other. But they were both in the hands of people standing shoulder together. Literal inches apart.
I wonder would a different ref have allowed the try to stand or are they bound by the laws of the game
It stopped us getting the bonus point which could come into play next week! Expect France to run up a cricket score against wales
