This series includes Glitchy and my genuine first reactions to entering the Ashlands without much knowledge at all! We were able to coordinate and play on the FIRST day of the Public Test Branch’s release so take that with its own grain of salt. It is not part of any other playthrough and is a standalone on a new world I created to help us quickly get ready and play with some Ashlands stuff, since we didn’t have a good playthrough ready to join up and adventure in together! This is a series that Glitchy and I both recorded and made separate videos for our respective channels. Watch one or both videos if you want to see Glitchy’s perspective.

That thing about the deep north not having a boss came from reddit, the devs themselves have said that every biome will have a boss eventually.

We just started in our server and now I truly get why yall died so much because I died more there than the sum of every biome combined and I was there for only 2 hours

The boss sacrificial stone is located where it is because the devs didn't want people to lose their boss trophies by moving the structure. They are spaced better on newly generated worlds.

Btw you can put down a shield generator to prevent the cinders(homing missile) from coming up as long as your inside the shield

Oh what a great tip if it stops the lava knocking you off the platforms
I was puzzled at first too, by certain mobs attacking while in the vines. Turns out it's just that they can attack if you are in their front arc. They won't turn to strike, but if you are in front of them, they will strike.
Yeah! I have since learned that as well. It does seem like directly in front of them, they will attack. But nowhere else
Some guy i watched on twitch got glitched thru the crypt by morgan. He had to jump down and landed in the middle of a giant lava pit. Took him around 40 minutes to get his stuff back😂

i agree the klossen is the best version for the mace, but man i wish it didnt look that goofy, it kinda looks like a giant bar of mint icecream on a stick.
Hahaha I think it could have been better designed but I've come to like it for its functionality! Maybe less of a pickle flavored jolly rancher and maybe a bit closer to a green version of the bloodgen

14:39 Actually, Ashlands is the penultimate biome. The Deep North will be the last biome, though I expect there will a smaller QoL update in between the two, ala Hilder's Request.
Yes! And I knew the deep north was the last full update but I had read somewhere that it wouldn't have a boss. But it may not be correct.

You may be thinking of the Ocean as not being a full biome with a boss. I remember that being mentioned in either a dev blog or twitter post awhile back, something about it will be a smaller update that will add new features and content but not being a typical biome. I could be wrong, but I can't recall that they ever said anything about the Deep North not being a true biome like the others. Especially since the Deep North update will bring the game to version 1.0.

Yeah, vine locked after losing 2/3rds of your health trying to get it that way. That failure/success ratio is way too high for me, especially running the asksvin armor or mage armor; no face tanking all the time for me!
And the iolite berserkers are great singular encounter but that darn animation delay poops on the parade in a one on two or three melee and I actually don't get nearly the rush if the chain lightening kicks in and does all the work for me. That's kind of why I don't savvy magic so much either, it's doing all the work while I just stand by. The Dundr being the exception because you gots to be right in their face to be most effective. It really is a sawed off scatter gun pretending to be magically inclined.
Why would the Deep North not have a boss ? Yeti seems appropriate for the boss.

Man we’re playing a completely different game lmao. Not sure if it’s just our seed or what, but there’s literally dozens of enemies everywhere and anywhere you go. In all combinations. The amount is honestly a little un-fun lmao

Perhaps, and this is just a suggestion, but PERHAPS, you might consider not gloating, teasing, looking around, checking your map or rifling through your inventory whilst standing on basalt platforms in future...? Whereas I totally commend the entertainment you provide, I can't help but feel there are many OTHER interesting and hilarious ways to get perished!

I'm waiting to go to ashlands now...watching you die. Im building up my skills so I can at least have some skill level left after all the deaths lol
Yes, definitely higher skills are necessary. Especially in something like archery and maybe blocking
@@WafflesGamesProbably i have archery at 80 as of yesterday thanks to your earlier short pointi g out its value. Elemental magic 80, and blood magic slowly grinding..at 65 now. Making sure our food and potion chests are full as well. Need to get the frost arrows mass produced next. I just have to admit..ashlands looks so scary lol
I've played 100+ hrs on my character, and somehow, you have way higher skills than me. Like my highest skill is 34 😢
Aww hmm. Well this character definitely made his rounds before. It started on the original version of my server before we lost all our progress.
Morgen trophy is crap.

Just imagine if the devs put some real time into making it. Imagine a giant scary Morgen head looking at you. I know they could've done that because look at the serpent trophy, it's amazing! Same goes for the valkeriy(or however you spell it) trophy, It's tiny!
They nerfed the Ashlands so hard
