I have my camera set for taking JPEGs and RAW at the same time. I almost never actually use the RAW photos but it's nice to have it just in case. It probably slows the camera down a little but I haven't noticed. Might be worth trying out if your camera has a setting like that cause except the size it's the best of both worlds.
Yea, I use to do both much like you. I noticed a few things, faster buffer fill ups and more data consumed especially if I am using medium format or the Sony 60MP. It is all what you are doing with it right ? For wildlife i just take too many photos for it to be practical. Thanks again for commenting and watching…
I think I was one of the ones who might have asked this question to you. I was curious because you actually don't hear many photographers admitting this. There's also a element of truth in saying that shooting RAW can make you lazy and have a bloated workflow. "Workflow" is another topic that could be interesting as I always wonder what could be improved.
I shoot it Right not RAW. Just an idea for another t-shirt. I worked for over 40-years as a press photographer, apx. 16-years of that time using digital cameras and simply didn't have the time to shoot RAW when you might have to produce 15-40 images and transmit them back to the paper in 90 minutes or less. If you have the time and memory storage capacity RAW can give you the edge over JPEGS but most of the time, if you expose correctly, JPEGs will get the job done.
Now THATS how you explain stuff !! Perfect
Joe you are the best thanks man !
