Omgosh I didn't know you had to slide the lip of the diaphragm OVER that piece or that you had to stack the flange inserts! I think my experience is about to be enhanced just with these two changes!! Thank you so much for this video!!
So glad it was helpful!! I do have to apologize though, you actually do not need to stack the inserts for the M5 like I said in the video! Simply use the 1 flange insert with the correct size you need. But yes you definitely want the lip of the diaphragm to slide over as that will help ensure your suction is working properly :)
Thankyou so much for such an informative video. I spent and hour on the user guide and didn't understand a word about the assembly and dissembly of the parts. I finally landed on your video and now know how to use the product.❤

This was a great video. I just got mine today and wasn't sure if I needed to add the extra included flange or not. Your video was extremely helpful. Thank you!
Thanks for the great feedback!! Just a note if you didn't see it in other comments, you don't need to stack the flange inserts, just pick the size you need and use that 😊
Thank you for the very informative video! Just to clarify, we need to stack the different size flanges until we get to our correct size or do we simply insert our correct size into the breast shield?
Thanks so much for the question! And so sorry for the confusion, this was my error, if you are using the Momcozy M5 flange inserts you do NOT need to stack them, simply choose the correct flange insert size and insert that into the breast shield.
I am so sorry for the misinformation, but you do not need to stack the flange inserts for the M5. Just pick the correct size and insert that into the flange 😊 If you weren't getting a lot of milk, just make sure your parts don't need replacing and that the seals are all firm.
I'd try a firm pumping bra to help to keep your pump in place if it's moving while pumping. Also double check you have the correct flange size as if it is too big or too small that can impact it too.
Sounds like a charging issue. You could try a different charging cable, but if that doesn't work, I recommend you reach out to support@momcozy.com to help troubleshoot the issue.
Hi great video and very useful, my only question is about the sterilization of the silicone parts it can be with boiling water ? or warm water? greetings from Peru 🇵🇪
Thank you so much for the informative video! Just a question, the guide says charge it before the first time use, and when I did, the charging dots looked solid! I’m confused does this mean it’s fully charged??
Thanks for your question! Yes when you have the 3 solid lines that means it is fully charged 😊 If it is still charging whilst plugged in they will light up one by one.
Thanks so much for the lovely feedback!! Just a quick edit to the video - you do not need to stack your inserts - just choose the size you need and use that one :)

So if my flange size is 17 mm, do i have to insert the 21 and top of it the 19 and on top of it the 17 ??? If someone can answer me , because this Looks confusing
Sorry that was my error in this video. You do not need to stack the flange inserts with the M5. Simply use the 1 flange insert with the correct size you need.
Everybody is different, so what works for one person will be different for another. My tips are to make sure you have the correct flange size and your bra is secure so you have adequate suction. Then have a play with different settings. You may respond better to the faster stimulation suctions or to a slow and low setting. You can also try power pumping to increase milk suply ua-cam.com/video/baKXKkMwUZY/v-deo.html Hope this helps 😊
Thank you for your video. I am having leaking come in when I try to pump and I’m not sure why. The milk isn’t going inside the duckbill. I tried lining up with the hearts and milk is still staying inside the hole instead of going down.
The Momcozy manual only recommends boiling for sterilization as the temperatures of a sterilzer can damage or discolor the pump parts. Some people still choose to use a sterilizer on a low temp setting, but you'll probably void your warranty.
@@pumpingmilk even though the momcozy sterilizer says you can sterilize their breast pump in it? 😯 I didn't know it was so contradictory .. they even have the M5 pieces in the picture I thought. That's why I ordered it 😭
It is a mix of the shorter suctions from the stimulation mode and longer suctions of the expression mode. It can also vibrate at the same time to loosen the milk ducts when pumping - potential benefits are more milk faster and better drainage to help prevent mastitis or engorgement.
The noise is less than 50dB. A library or very quiet office is 40 to 45dB. Normal conversation is 60dB. So, depending on how quiet your workplace is, you may or may not notice it.
Thanks for asking! The duckbill valve opens and closes with the suction created by the pump. So it will will open to allow the milk to flow through into the collection cup. If you pinch it the duckbill valve you can see it opens at the bottom :)
I bought my M5 in February 2024 and mine has a timer. I just pushed the little recycle button one time after the screen goes dark and then it shows how many minutes I’ve been pumping.
Thanks so much for letting us know! That is great news if they have included it in the newer M5 pumps 😊 I did double check mine, just in case I missed it, but there is definitely no timer for my M5 pump.
You need to have a seal between your skin and the flange to maintain suction. If the seal is broken, your pump won't work as effectively = less milk. You can use a bra to help firmly hold your pump in place 😊
Hi such a great video so helpful! FTM here...Can I sanitize all components by running it through my dish washer sanitation setting or should i sanitize by boiling the components.
Thanks for the great feedback! The M5 is not suitable for a dishwasher, microwave or heat sterilizer due to the soft silicone. Ideally you will boil it or use a sterilization solution like Milton amzn.to/3KTTNT0 (#ad)
Great video, I’ve just purchased this - do you know if I can pump after 18 months of breastfeeding (I’ve never pumped before)? Or have I left it too late. Thanks

Yes, you should sterilize your pump before its first use by boiling it 😊
While using this my milk is flowing outside on the surface of flange
Can you plz guide what I am doing wrong
You may need to adjust your pumping bra for a more secure seal. It could also be an incorrect flange size? You may need to use a flange insert.

Hahah definitely not what you want when you get your new pump. I'm so glad I could help make it easier 😊
How can you that it is charging because i put it in charging but nothing shown in the screen
You should see 3 bars flashing as it's charging. Once it's fully charged, the bars stop flashing.
I'm confused how the mixed setting works. Can you clarify that setting?
It is a mix of the shorter suctions from the stimulation mode and longer suctions of the expression mode. It can also vibrate at the same time to loosen the milk ducts when pumping - potential benefits are more milk faster and better drainage to help prevent mastitis or engorgement.
I would like to ask while it is working is there any noticeable sound? I will use it during work
The noise is less than 50dB. A library or very quiet office is 40 to 45dB. Normal conversation is 60dB. So, depending on how quiet your workplace is, you may or may not notice it.
The duck bill valve confuses me though. How are you supposed to fill the cup with milk if the only hole is covered?
Thanks for asking! The duckbill valve opens and closes with the suction created by the pump. So it will will open to allow the milk to flow through into the collection cup. If you pinch it the duckbill valve you can see it opens at the bottom :)

How can you tell it’s on correctly, as it’s impossible to see if your nipple is aligned down the middle of the flange
