It's great to see this relationship becoming more prevalent. Humans need to learn to respect and treat animals better. Baby steps but were moving in the right direction.
When you see these videos of marine life communing with divers, consider the animals might recognize the divers from previous occasions or been watching them that day. Increased chance to read motivation. They know humans aren't normally a marine animal. We're generally vulnerable to enter their world. The humility comes across.
The animal on it's back is a conch. Conches are a type of sea snail, and sea snails crawl around all over the place just like land snails do. The idea that this guy somehow saved the turtle, or that the turtle is asking for help is ridiculous. The snail would have crawled off it's back in a few minutes or maybe an hour or so. that sea turtle does a better job of asking humans for help than I do
:-) He just knew the guy was going to help him ... lovely
"Yo! As I was talking to the dolphins back there, they were saying that you might be able to.....yeah,...that thing right there.....yup, that's it. Thanks a bunch. See ya."
We need more sea turtles. The decline of sea turtles and whales will only make the jelly fish population worse.
Wise and smart sea turtle!
Wow, what a great experience. 💕
We go to Longboat Key frequently, and are members of Mote Marine Labs.
On the dock on the bay side where we stay we see turtles and manatees. It's against the law to interact with these animals.
But no one's told us what to do when THEY approach us - and it happens often. They seem to want the contact
And I don't argue with them. These beautiful creatures are smart, and amazing. TY for sharing your encounter !
That just brought tears to my eyes. Powerful! Must have been the best feeling ever! ❤️😎✌🏻
That was one of the most frickin cool things I have ever seen.
As a diver myself the chance to interact so close is always a beautiful thing, especially when they come to you. But to help as well, a truely selfless act, the barnacle may have been upsetting his swim balance.
TAKE NOTHING BUT PHOTOS LEAVE NOTHING BUT BUBBLES
RESPECT
Poor barnacle :(
How beautiful. The ocean holds so many amazing creatures.
I accidentally snag one. He swim to the boat and raise his foot for me to pull the hook out. He was very calm . Once I get hook out he swim off
wow💙
That's so cool!
Why didn't you record dude
@@davidskyler1000 the same day i got a shark it took me three hours to get him up beside the boat he was about 11 ft and well over 300 pounds. I did have pictures but they have been lost over the years. This was about 16 yrs ago. Really a fun day. I reached down to touch the shark the first time he turned and almost pulled me over edge of boat. Guide grab me by the belt. They said they could not bring him to shore. So I really wanted to atleast touch him so they held the rod I slapped it on the head and it sliced my hand open in three places there skin is crazy hard and real sharp ridges.
@Dee Jay after I fight that thing for so long I just wanted to touch it. I thought it would be no big deal.
Turtle swimming away: *Thank you bro, have an awesome life*
To be up close and personal with a sea turtle is my dream😍
Pretty darn cool encounter. Had many cool things happen while diving. Sea creatures are a helluva lot smarter than u think
Thankyou for helping the turtle. He/she stayed for a few seconds to say thks.
When the diver got top side his friends noticed an angry mollusk attached to the diver`s air tank!
That was all he wanted you to do? That was pretty nice of you to help him out!👍🏼
I love turtles...they are the most incredible animals...the distances they travel are mind boggling.
I sometimes forget the underwater world exists... awesome to get reminded how pretty it is❤️
Did you notice the high one armed flipper as he was leaving..."Thanks Bud!"
Turtle: Dude, you'v got thumbs, please get this thing off my back!
You are lucky , to have a such opportunity !
72 dislikes are are from barnacles
Edit: so, 206 parasites disliked this.
Thanks to all unparasitic humans for the likes!
No, the dislikes are from people who know the story is bullshit.

What's bullshit about it Hobbit boi?
The animal on it's back is a conch. Conches are a type of sea snail, and sea snails crawl around all over the place just like land snails do. The idea that this guy somehow saved the turtle, or that the turtle is asking for help is ridiculous. The snail would have crawled off it's back in a few minutes or maybe an hour or so. The turtle was never in the slightest danger, yet this guy tries to make himself look like some kind of hero.

You're a barnacle on my back
Midnight Trumptrain-- It requires a backbone to have a back. You don't qualify.
I was only 1 minute in and I was already internally screaming "FFS GET IT OFF!"
