I think animals can sense vibrations . They know whether a human is kind or otherwise . We , as human sets of vibrations . Remember when we are near someone in a room and for unknown reason we like or don't like the person . Thats because the person sets of vibration and we can sense it .

some young animals just think that any animal is cool if they get abandoned. its adult signal that often sets in hesitation about other animals. i raise baby animals and see behaviour like that all the time, including in seal pups in the puget sound.

Sea lions approach humans all the time. It’s common.
yeah.. i dont know much about sea lions elsewhere, but in galapagos those little guys will just hop on our boat and stay there for a night. it is indeed common.
Well to most wild animals , humans are a unpredictable and unconfirmed predator which is why they won’t go to us unless they absolutely have to knowing how dire their situation is and can only hope their desperation doesn’t end badly which is why sometimes seals will jump on a boat when chased by an orca. Unlike the orca that they know will 100 eat them , humans there is at least a 50/50 to most animals

Animals are smart enough to know that humans have incredible abilities to destroy or save them.
I think the difference is in how they interpret the agression or passions of human behavior, and their own level of fear of humans!
In these more idealogical days of species, animal, preservation efforts humans have been experiencing the animals often become aware of man's ability to help them when they cannot help themselves!

It was amazing how quickly the sea lion learned to climb those stairs! She seemed to be pointing at her right side of her head like "this is where it hurts".
I think she already knew what it was. Usually, the animal tries to jump up, and will often ignore a ladder until directed to use it. But this one went straight to the ladder, and looked like she was insisting on using it. That tells me she knew it was an easier way to get on. That only occurs if the animal was trained, or a very intelligent animal watched humans use it, and figured out on its own what it is.

Many blessings to you for doing that. 🙂💕
Each and Every living creature is equipped with communicatioin skills if only we patiently try to listen and understand!! What a great story!
Whaaaat?
@Vyeth Kiran : Simple people always love to anthropomorphize animals. The trait I enjoy seeing attached to animals is smiling, especially for cats and dogs. Both lack facial muscles, ergo, no ability to smile. Even among the apes and monkeys, smiling is really a stretch.
In the era of twitter, that’s debatable. People need to also listen and read to communicate instead of shouting people down and calling for them to be cancelled.
@@sfmike711 dogs and monkeys consider a smile to be a threat, that’s why you should never smile at a ape or try to kiss a dog, you’ll get bitten 😱
@@thearmchairjournalist566 : You need to very carefully re-read what I wrote. I said absolutely nothing about humans smiling at apes. I made comment about foolish people saying that dogs and cats "smile" when being rescued, cared for, or fed. I pointed out that dogs and cats cannot smile as they don't have facial muscles. As for the simian branch of our shared primate family tree, I never said anything about smiling at an ape. I said that apes and monkeys don't smile (though they do laugh). Perhaps you're illiterate or unable to comprehend what you read. Not really sure. Which ever, it's a problem for you.
By the way, I've seen plenty of caring dog daddies and mommies shower their four-legged friends with lots of kisses. The only thing the dogs do is impart sloppy tongue baths all over their faces. But no bites.
Compassion and Kindness a universal language
I just read a story in the bible luke 10: 27-38 he speaks about compassion and kindness and he tells a story with himself in second person by helping a man in need of help. He showed compassion to the man who was left for dead after being robbed and abandoned and overlooked by everyone even a priest didn't help him but Jesus describes himself a good Samaritan who shows compassion . He didn't view him as different while the rest did view the man as that. He saw a person wound and need of help. And this babygirl and these people who helped her remind me of that story. Show compassion and kindness and be a good person is what God is saying and has been saying but many never listen to him. I hope you understand this message🕊🕊
You can almost tell she's worked with humans before. The way she tells them that she can't make the jump to the deck by shaking her head, how she knows the function of the ladder, and how quiet she's being.
It is incredible 🌸

1:00 When he tapped the deck, and she shook her head "no." That was absolutely adorable! I had to go back and watch it a couple times.
I'm so glad they helped her recover and then returned her to her home.
What was the time mark on the video where they helped her recover and released her? Oh, they didn't film it? At all? Well that's very strange, almost like it never happened.

She said," No I have no energy to jump onto the boat." So smart to shake its head.
@@fuzzynubbins The ones who filmed this was ordinary people on a boat, not the ones that took care of it and later released it, so how could the film something they had no part in? But as the ones who turned it over so could they ask later what happened to it.

I’m in tears crying. She really must have been injured to run up to humans asking for help. I’m glad she was rehabbed and sent back into the wild where she belongs
Beautiful Vid, Glad it is fine & hats off to these people who took the time to help it.
They are super playful and engaging. I live in the Pacific Northwest and remember jet-skiing on the ocean and having a seal try to sneak up on me, then when I would spot it he/she would dive under and try to sneak up again. Really cool.
Brave little sealion, asking for help, what amazing human beings to help her. Watching things like this really put my faith back into humanity. Animals are just as special and important as we are on this planet, knowing and feeling this is the highest of blessings, helping animals who brave it to ask for help is also such a blessing they chose you to be their guardian. So beautiful ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
Melts my heart
Poor baby is really unwell, no? Never seen one so lethargic. I hope she’s ok. 💜
I thought that too. A seal or sea lion should have been able to jump right up on the boat. I just kept thinking "grab her, pull her up" but obviously that's not 100% safe. Lol
Wondered why they didn't help her a little getting up that ladder, she was struggling! She picked the right boat for help though!
I too wished they'd jump in the water and work with each other to oh so very gently support her climb up.
Maybe they didn’t know she was truly that injured at the time. I have no idea what the “perfect weight” for a seal is so to be fair, I wouldn’t have thought she was that injured. It seems like they didn’t want to physically grab and put her on the boat just in case she wasn’t comfortable with that idea. They did perfectly fine. I always hate when there is a video of someone helping an animal the best way they know how, and you have someone claiming they didn’t help “the right way”. They did the best they could given what was most comfortable for them.
@@jaz2407 - ok, guess you know better than I. Yes, they did the best they knew how. They are not wildlife experts.🙂💜💜
