This is so cool!!!! I can’t wait to do this to mine! Do you have a more detailed list of what pieces you added? I’ve never modded my builds before and would love some more instruction. Thanks for a great video!
I'd tile off below the tree but put in a 2x2 plate in the middle to attach it to, removes the gaps raises it up a plate, would look similar to the fountain on the other side. you may even remove the bottom round plate Overall looks awesome, such a simple change but it does SOO much, look forward to more videos!
Wow, thank you for doing this! Fantastic result, it looks much nicer. Given the price, LEGO could have included some extra pieces so that people could chose between displaying this stand alone or as a modular.
Nice... Maybe turn the plants at the side into some sort of climbing plant/ivy type stuff if you have it placed next one of the modulars with a plain wall
why modular compatible? Has anyone visited a botanical garden? Often, it features a building set within a garden space, with no other buildings nearby. Ideally, a botanical garden should be surrounded by natural elements, not urban structures. Who would choose to build a botanical garden in a city right next to a shop?
When Modulars were $150 I didn’t mind spending an extra $20-$40 to tune them up. But a $330 set should be complete maybe add a few minifigs and extra pieces from inventory to beef them up and/or personalize the set. Look at Assembly Square $280 and Home Alone $250/$300 and not an extra stud needed to be added to either. These sets, e.g., Botanical Garden, X Men Mansion, Viking Village, Medieval Town Square Jabbas Sail Barge that you have to buy 2 of or add $80 in parts to make them up to our expected standard of past sets is a disturbing trend with Lego. I saw this set in store and it is nice but definitely not worth $330, the main building is too narrow and not tall enough just like X Mansion. Easy pass went with 3X Friends Botanical for $114 with last weeks target sale and it looks really good for the same piece count at 1/3 the price.
Do you think this set will be essentially yellow like the Titanic set within a few years? Has Lego bothered to make headway in that department? White sets are such a gamble. Sure ya need new furtiture. But ya also need a new basement to bury the thing from light.
Honestly. Those connector pins are 1 of the worst things. If you want to adjust something it is just so mich easier to just slide them out and NOT have them connected. Also, i dont get why or when the absence of pins was a make or break to be considered a modular.
great content and vid. i just think that 'modularization' for this set is a non-issue. i'm gonna put this set at the back of the Bricklink 'studgate' train station, where it'll have more room to breathe. on another note - luckily i'm not a mils plate person. imagine how many plates you'll be wasting on this set. yikes.

I'll admit, it was a lot simpler to fix the sidewalk than I thought

Nice modifications. I think it looks better than the original.
Replacing the sidewalk really hits different, great video!
This looks so much better than the exposed baseplate across the entire length of the set. I love it.

Phew, thought for a second you said this was your last video, full stop 😂 Nice mods!
Wow that makes it look 10x better

Totally agree. It would be like putting a farm set as a MoDuLaR between two buildings.

Could the tree be raised so the two green spots would be hidden?
Thanks for the update. I’m not sure how I’ll mod my BG yet.

You should put a Mandalorian minifig in there because, "This is the way!" :)

Having said that. I think the pathway is an upgrade❤
Nope. Go back and add the entrance gate gwp.
