I-Team: Fired ER doctor explains reason for not getting COVID-19 vaccine

TYRONE, Ga. - The only Georgia physician known to be fired for defying a COVID vaccine mandate insisted he’s not an anti-vaxxer.
Redwood is well known in the Atlanta medical community. He spent 16 years as medical director of emergency services for Wellstar Kennestone in Marietta. He worked for four years as an emergency room physician at Piedmont.
Just last month, he was reappointed to the medical staff of Piedmont Atlanta with full privileges.
But last week, Redwood says he was fired from working in both hospital systems for failing to follow vaccine mandates for all healthcare employees.

He is very careful what he says and not to let them put words into his mouth. He knows more than he is saying about these vaccines.

And he, somehow, nullifies the advice of countless medical professionals. Sorry to react 1 year later, but how are those unknown side effects doing? By now these must have surfaced. I will tell you that post covid effects have been devastating.

@baskoller5506 the results have been pretty devastating independent studies done in places like Sweden showed up to a 6 percent side effect rate. You should not be forcing vaccines, also stroke and cardiac arrest rates have sky rocketed. The “professional” is only as credible as his ideology.

We are right there with you! My husband (a Doctor) and I (and our girls) were never vaccinated, and will never be. My husband calls it "poison", as we are now treating youths for POTS and other vaccine related illnesses. Oh, it's _so_ sweet to have hindsight ... all of the misinformation (lies) the CDC said. Unvacinnated people are not getting these _at all_ . My "regards" to the CDC, and everyone who fell for this vaccine - and calling *us* "misinformation. The joke's on _them_ . Basically, *they* are the ones who snubbed "the world is round" and "the earth revolves around the sun". They are completely wrong - after mocking others (you and me) for it!

@@iampatricemeeks9512 I work at a medical clinic, and we see this sadness _so_ much. It's heartbreaking because it was all preventable. They drank the Kool Aid, and they paid the biggest price. The Left is not reporting one single death. it's plain *evil* . Never take the vaccine, or any injection - even a flu shot!!
He made the right choice for two reasons: the shot hasn't been tested long enough and no employer should force you to take it.
Not calling you wrong, but I'm curious to play devil's advocate for the sake of discussion and understanding different perspectives. I hope this is a civil dialogue; I hope to hear other's opinions.
-Hospitals, universities, and militaries have required various vaccines for some time now, yet the COVID vaccine is somehow different. This stands out to me.
-I suppose your response to that would be, " The COVID vaccine hasn't been tested long enough." This is fair argument, but I have to disagree with its validity.
-mRNA vaccines have been tested in humans for nearly 10 years. The COVID vaccines were designed and created on technology that had been human tested for nearly a decade.
-By the very design of mRNA vaccines, they are unable to alter DNA and the mRNA is denatured and "gone" very quickly. This is why some of the vaccines have to be refrigerated, or else the mRNA would already "be finished."
-From years and years of research and experimentation, scientist could be sure that any short term side affects of the vaccine would be less significant than the virus itself.
-Of course, there are people that have EXTREMELY rare and fatal side effects to the the COVID vaccine. But these occurrences are not unique to the COVID vaccine. These rare side effects occur in other vaccines. However, the same people using this argument against the COVID vaccine, don't seem to be deterred by the polio vaccine, the HPV vaccine, or the influenza vaccine.
-There doesn't seem to be consistency with views of the covid vaccine in relation to other vaccines and well established science. Rather there seems to be a waive of hysteria and emotion that negates the opportunity for further understanding.

My 19 year old nephew had a heart attack from the COVID vaccine. His heart Dr stated the vaccine caused inflammation in his heart. He is now on heart medication for the rest of his life. The damage is irreversible.

I knew an unwell middle aged man who died a day after being vaccinated.
My neighbor got 5 large clots after the shot. Prior to that he was given a clean bill of health. The shot destroyed his life
My entire family got two to three shots.. all of them are sick and dying right now. My mother has sever blood clots and heart issues, my brother looks terrible and dying, my step brother suddenly had aggressive cancer, etc... Loss many friends. So... all BS. I told them not to take the shot.
No wonder suddenly inflammation strokes , ischemic clot in the brain.

@@GlobalFreeLiving I do know several people who have passed after getting the shot with blood clots. My husband got three shots he got covid twice anyway I brought the covid home to me I've had covid twice and never had a shot. Just not worth the stress

I want to work in the medical field but I cannot train because I refuse to take the covid vaccine. All hospitals in my state require it.

The insurance companies are in on this too. The staff won’t be paid unless you have the insurance companies backing up the clinic. They can’t afford to work for free.

@@trufflesrheaven yes, immunizations are a normal thing, also those previously recieved, have been tested long enough. This isn't an immunization and long term side effects are unknown. People try to say that it's better than getting covid, but that's simply not a fully truthful statement. Many that do not want the vaccine, have gotten other vaccines and are not anti vax like they want you to believe.

Any way most people who get covid just stay at home and isolate themselves, most elderly people have already been vaxxed, while the younger generations just ride it through at home, so again it’s the hospitals management fault for not preparing properly. I was treated by Dr. Redwood at the ER dept at piedmont hospital for another issue a couple of years before Covid, and I remember him being so patient with me, listening intently, and caring for me so well. Can’t say that about some of the other ER physicians at Piedmont or Emory here in Atlanta. Well, it’s their loss, though I’m sure so long as the money flows they don’t give a crap

Because we are in a pandemic. Vaccines being created in record time means less time for testing and verifying safety, it's true. They are not going to release life saving vaccines if they can be immediately sued for anything that goes wrong. But remember, we are in a PANDEMIC. It's not a little outbreak of a cold.
I got my first Pfzier vaccine a couple of years ago, shortly after it first came out. I didn't want to because I thought it was too soon to roll it out to the public but I was pressured by my family. I got really scary symptoms right after the first shot and feel lucky that I even survived. There is NO WAY I am getting another COVID shot. I wear my mask in high-risk situations, wash my hands regularly, etc. When I tried to report my symptoms to my doctor or tell other people how bad it was they said it was all in my head. It wasn't. I had numbness in my legs, muscle fasciculations all over my body for weeks, and just felt really really off. A month and a half later I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and uterine precancer. I don't know if the cancer was related to the shot but I know the shot really really messed with my body at a very deep level and was terrifying. The adverse reactions are being hushed up by the medical community and politicians. If I had the opportunity to back in time, I would never have gotten that first shot. I don't blame this dr. for not getting the shot. It's too new and the bad and dangerous side-effects are real.

There’s way more doctors and nurses who have had the vaccine, he is a small portion of those who have decided not to get vaccinated. So he gets immediately hired in Alabama which says a lot for how that state looks at their own population with little to no care because a majority of the people are poor and poorly educated as well with some of the worst health outcomes of our entire country.

Not quite. The doctor being a doctor is speaking logically. If you have no comorbidities and are healthy, why are you going to take a vaccine WITH NO LONG TERM STUDIES when you still have a lot of life left in you to live? An elderly person at 85 taking this vaccine in order to get protection and to potentially live a few more years is not the same gamble as a 40 year old with decades to live taking it, not knowing what it may do to his or her body in the future. This doctor, being healthy, has the potential to easily live another twenty years. If it isnt broken, why fix it?

ALL vaccines are excused from liability for public health reasons and have been exempt from liability from the start.. If there’s severe injury there are cases where the vaccine maker can be held liable. Out of millions of doses of the covid vaccine there have been relatively few serious side effects, the same number as ANY drug that is prescribed. You take a risk every time you take a prescribed medication. There have been serious side effects from the use of Viagra but I don’t see anyone complaining about that.🙄

It’s about taking a vaccine that has not had years of trials, no accountability when 16 and 17 year olds have heart attacks and myocarditis after receiving the shots. Most of the people refusing this vaccine are people that have taken other vaccines. When there’s accountability for damages done due to the vaccine more people will get it.

2 members of the FDA resigned because the government didn't listen about their recommendations to not push boosters to the over 65 now they have all of a sudden deemed it OK. Nothing off there at all

Update: When the government stopped paying hospitals extra for cases, the problem suddenly disappeared. However, cases of cancer, blood clots, heart attacks, stroke, diabetes, sudden death, menstrual problems and neurological disorders have skyrocketed. Doctors are baffled.

In my practice in medication each person has a right to medication weather want it or not and if a patient refuse 1specific medication I cant discharge such a one, but you see what the world is doing they are taking away your home your car your livelihood for one shot that you dont want(YOUR JOB THEN EVERYTHING WILL BE INTERRUPTED), this tells me the vaccine is for a far different meaning than safety.

In every situation, we shouldn't view it from our side but from an observer's side who looks on both sides and then analysis it. Most people never accept the fact that they can be wrong too and fails to view other viewpoint, that is the real cause of ignorance (forget brainwashing).
But also it's so obvious. Antibodies produced naturally are proven many times to be much much more effective than antibodies produced by jab in case of c19. If it was really about health, they would've allowed people with natural antibodies along with jabbed. But they didn't. Not even 1% of so called experts thought of it. It's so obvious that it's not about safety but about money (and other things in which elites are involved)

I’m going to have to remember to thank my boss for not getting vaccinated and being very vocal on that decision so the handful of us in my department who didn’t had a voice in our favor. And for getting fired up when he thought I got vaccinated (which was a rumor)… after all this I know that means he cared which now touches my heart 😊

My wife’s work is trying to force it or be fired by Dec 8 but they make it sound like their employees have a choice. Her friend tried to opt out for the religious opt out but then was terminated after 17 years. They said she didn’t give enough information so she is suppose to have 30 to appeal but they won’t even let her appeal and give more info. Our state isn’t even mandating it but the company tries to act like the state is. It appears they may risk loosing at least 1,800 employees at the local branch if they force it.

I will speak to my reasoning for not getting the vaccine. My reasoning is that the data is extreemly clear that COVID affects people with comorbdies..OVERWHELMING. The offical number is 95% but considering a margin of error it very well could be 100%. Of those comordbies the vast majority of them are 3 specific ones. 3 that I personally do not have. Can I spread the virus? of course I can but who would I spread it too that would be at risk of illness? well ONLY the unvaccinated who have made the same choice. I personally think the vaccine is effective and I would suggest people who are firmly in the cormorbdies to get it

Disappointed that this experienced doctor didn't point out the obvious, even in 2021 - that whether or not someone had the vax has NO effect on someone else, whether or not they in turn had the shot. This (non)vaccine has long since been proven to not prevent transmission, yet even if it did, anyone the doc came in contact with that was vaccinated would have been at no additional risk.
I'm a full-time ER doc, caught COVID early on, and risked losing my job over not taking this shot - so very, very glad I hung tough and didn't take it. I would be scared to death now.

The long term effects may likely be things like compromised heart function, GBS, chronic narcolepsy (as was some 15,000 people on swine flu vaccine), birth defects (as with Thalidomide), chronic respiratory compromise, etc. Why the short-term problems alone haven't halted these vaccines is beyond me.
