- Tennis star Novak Djokovic has said he would rather miss out on future trophies than be forced to get a Covid vaccine.
Speaking exclusively to the BBC, he said he should not be associated with the anti-vax movement, but supported an individual's right to choose.
The Serbian was asked if he would sacrifice taking part in competitions such as Wimbledon and the French Open over his stance on the vaccine.

Mr. Djokovic is an inspiration to those threaten by the loss of a job, education, or travel restrictions. In June of 2021, I lost a 49-year-old cousin, a man preparing to go on a Hawaiian honeymoon with his second wife, a man who had a fatal heart attack due to a massive blood clot. Travel to Hawaii was very restrictive, authorities demanding vaccination or a ridiculous testing regime. I am sure my cousin complied and now he is gone. Then I lost another cousin within 6-months, a cousin who "died suddenly." Then there were two otherwise healthy women, women who regularly attend my gym's spinning classes. 4-months ago, one discontinued her workout mid-way, hurrying to the women's locker room be cause she felt like vomiting, she actually experiencing a heart attack. We advised her to immediately seek medical attention and she relented. Later that evening she had a stent installed to relieve a LAD blood-clot, eventually a pacemaker. A few weeks ago it was sadly announced that the other woman past away Easter of a fatal heart attack due to a blood clot. Although these women were not gym rats, they were both the picture of health. Many would suggest these are mere coincidences, but I have never witnessed anything like this before. Finally, another woman, in the same gym class, boasted that she had received her second booster. I said nothing, all I can do is pray. Dear God.
This man is the voice of millions who have lost their jobs and careers, their ability to put food in the table, lost friends and family and still stand strong in the belief that their body is theirs and does not belong to the government.

It had my mother and father begging us to get vaccinated but we did the research and decided for ourselves not to take it, not saying we're right or others to do the same but we stood our ground and we both had covid just like about everyone we knew and most was fully vaccinated. We were fine i believe cause we take care of ourselves with a good diet and vitamin D3 and C. Ultimately its up to you is how i look at it.

@Mac Everyone physiology is different some people thrive on a non meat diet and others do not. There are extremes at either end of the spectrum who cannot eat meat and the opposite who need an all meat diet to survive.
As long as the meat doesn't contain hormones and steroids and isn't processed it will generally be a good addition to a diet.

Tennis isn’t my sport, no interest in following it; but lots of respect for this man. There are some athletes that have gotten the vaccine so they can compete and then have become debilitated by heart issues. I think everyone needs to make their own decisions for their own bodies and he was polite and stood by his decision.

I know families of people who have died of other things not related to COVID, to have health professionals state on death certificates that they had died of COVID, which was not true. I wasn't antivax. The whole covid jab thing made me antivax. Lost trust in medical "experts" (among others). Why trust them anymore if they just showed us that they were willing to betray society to not lose their jobs.

What kind of world we are living in, when a man has to explain in front of camera that a decision which affects his body, his health, his life are his and only his decision. He has come to the conclusion that taking it is more dangerous than not taking it. So he wants to be safe and healthy and he is punished for it.

Novak just said that he would be willing to forego being the greatest player of all time just to avoid the vaccine! To me, that doesn't add up. I know it's a matter of principle, but it's an astonishing price to pay just to keep a principle. After all, what evil has befallen those who have taken the vaccine? >99% of those who did are just fine. The risk/reward ratio just doesn't add up to me.
