You might hear people speak a lot about innovation in UX. Well, there are times you SHOULD NOT innovate while designing a product.
It's a waste of time and money to innovate everything in UX. Smart designers understand this and they innovate only the most critical elements in their designs.
We're gonna cover the reasons and places where you should refrain from innovating.
One of the important points is that if what you're innovating is not the main use case, you won't be adding much value.
For example, it makes less sense for a ride-hailing app to innovate their driver sign-up process. That's not the main use case. It takes multiple designers, developers, testers, and managers to innovate something. Your ROI won't justify the resource investment.
