We are all not free from our, in this case, Russian culture, even those who "suffer" from homosexuality, and therefore we are not free from the roles imposed on us by our culture. I know, from my family history, that if my grandfather wasn't homophobic, I wouldn't have been born.

Is it possible that the feelings you get while watching these hand based asmrs are only possible if you’re an empathetic person? Perhaps I’m also using the wrong word, but you know the experience of what it is like to be touched gently and just by visually seeing asmr like this, it triggers something in your brain that deals with empathy. I feel like if a normal person were to watch this, there’s a chance they might not feel the tingly sensations or just think “What the heck is this?” So would that mean that the normal person isn’t as empathetic or lacks the same experience/thought/sensation as someone who knows/feels what it is like to be touched gently?

Perhaps, we don’t a lot yet know exactly how asmr works on the brain, but people who are sensitive to these sights and sounds credit asmr videos with helping them fall asleep, reducing their anxiety, and even chronic pain symptoms.
