Because some 4 A350-900 aircraft was retired, sale and transfer to the german airline Lufthansa Airlines, in fact way back in 2021, PAL was affected hit by the COVID-19 Pandemic then a file a Chapter 11 Bankruptcy for the recovery, then after the Filing of Chapter 11 in U.S, PAL devastating target full recovery which means pre-pandemic level since 2019 or 2017.
Flew this route earlier this year, only spent 700 usd for the premium economy which you rarely get for any long haul flight. I really like the cabin crew service and the food, but the ife needs some work ,very few selections.

No, not this time. They haven’t reached out or anything. Going to Manila we were given a food voucher to compensate for the delay on that flight
