I'm sorry. Making YT videos is a learning process. I have since lowered volume of music to 30% of the total volume. I removed this movie from iMovie to save space so I can't change it.
I have a Zebra step-Thru and I did this a while ago so I am just watching to see if you are doing it right😎😎and what is so great about the Zebra is the wires come out the disc brake side between the hub and the frame which make it a lot easier to work on and a better design it makes it easier to take apart the motor so you can clean and grease the planetary gears and you can use a better Grease then they use which is white lithium grease and I used Lucas Red n Tacky #2 which is a lithium base grease so it is safe for the nylon gears and boy it makes it Quiter, good job!
I am very curious if you have ever considered putting a mid drive motor on to a regular bike. You have the tools and obviously the abilities that you would be able to do so pretty easily. I believe overall it gives you a better bike for the dollar. My trek marlin seven was done that way and it is my go to bike. I also have others that were purchased E bikes but they are not even in the same ballpark. And as I said just curious if you’ve ever considered. We just posted a 1000 mile review on my Marlin. Stay safe, God bless, and keep the wheels rolling.
That's an interesting thought. No, I have not. I'm sure it would work fine but I'd prefer to leave my mountain bike stock. I'll check out your site. John
Buy an OEM part and it's a direct replacement. There should be lots of videos on YT on how to replace the motor. Himiway also has a good Question Support line and they do answer your questions. John
I have a 7 speed freewheel 14-28t i replaced the freewheel with another 7 speed a 11-28t, with the original freewheel, 1st gear (28t), i could spin the pedals backwards with this new freewheel, same 1st gear, backpedal falls onto 2nd gear, i don't understand why this one does this and the original didn't, I figured that the chain-line was at the extreme and pulling the chain to a more straight position, (though it didn't do that before) so i installed a 3mm spacer between the freewheel and the hub - in an attempt to move the freewheel further outside, to help with the chain-line when in first gear. it has helped but only a little, perhaps somehow offsetting the chainring?
@littlethislittlethat456 other than that, it was a great video. I am having an issue getting the cassette off of my Himiway Cruiser. I don't have the right tool to do so.

I bought a repair kit that has one of those in it, but it's just a tad too big for mine. There is a bike shop not far from me that I'm going to check out to see if they have one there. If not, I'll order this one. Is this one the right size for the Himiway Cruiser cassette?
Thank you!!!
You are welcome!
I wanted to watch the video but I can't hear what you say without making my living room into a piano bar.

Thank-YOU for the detailed Freewheel install, the devil is in the DETAILS
Thank you so much for the comment. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Can't ride right now. It's only 5 degrees! John
Very interesting video, have an awesome weekend.

My only question is is why didn’t you reapply grease to the threads in the hub that should have been done in my opinion
I'm not sure. Everything is functioning normally.
How did you get a pedal assist 7? Mine only goes to 5.
If you have the new display that I installed in another video, you can get 7. John
@@littlethislittlethat456 Ah, OK. Thanks.
Would a 11-28t or a 11-32t make things easier at top speeds please.
The one I installed fixed the top speed issue.
Just watched the video forgot about the washer been busy trying to align the de railer for about 5 hours now i see this 😢😢😢😢😢😅😅😅😅😅
Oopsy
I need to replace my motor on our Zebra, any hints or videos?

If you replace the freewheel is replacing the sprocket on a Zebra necessary?
No need to replace the sprocket. It works just fine by only replacing the freewheel.
I have a 7 speed freewheel 14-28t
i replaced the freewheel with another 7 speed a 11-28t,
with the original freewheel, 1st gear (28t), i could spin the pedals backwards
with this new freewheel, same 1st gear, backpedal falls onto 2nd gear,
i don't understand why this one does this and the original didn't,
I figured that the chain-line was at the extreme and pulling the chain to a more straight position, (though it didn't do that before)
so i installed a 3mm spacer between the freewheel and the hub - in an attempt to move the freewheel further outside, to help with the chain-line when in first gear.
it has helped but only a little, perhaps somehow offsetting the chainring?
I'm not an expert on this but it sounds like the alignment is off. Either adjust the derailleur or experiment with different spacers.
Some himiway bikes do come with this 3mm spacer as stock. there seems to be two versions of Bafang side piece with different measures.
Could do without the background music...
Noted!

@@littlethislittlethat456 thank you... I'll take a look at it. 👍

The music is very distracting. You don't need it. I'll sub if you stop with the music!
Sorry. I turn it down to a 40 to 50% level and it goes down even further when I'm talking.
It’s to loud….useless
A great video ruined by unneccessary music 😞😞
Sorry about the music. Making videos is a learning process.
@@littlethislittlethat456 No worries, carry on making good content, all the best 👍👍
Turn off the music.
Can't turn it off. It's how the video was created. Sorry.
