Great question! His family runs the ebay stores, you'll want to buy from: www.ebay.com/str/jveshop www.ebay.com/str/rcgoshop www.ebay.com/str/rctechzone99
Philly, what the hell are you doing awake at 3am? I agree with everything you have said Phil, I too have been watching these chassis on ebay but have not yet pulled the trigger and bought one. I think these are absolutely fantastic and a huge thank you for creating these amazing chassis for us Oliver. Phil and I used to race our RC's in a tiny town years ago so I know exactly where he is coming from. Really helping us re-live our childhoods! Great video bud!
Hey brother, just working hard, trying to get my RC fix and get you guys some good info on these gorgeous chassis'! Hope you're doing well, old racer friend! 👊
TY man! Tell me you did this for me! Please ask him for the ORV as well. Tell him because of your videos, we will buy them! Tell him to bring their price down a bit. We need them all. LOL! To buy all of them, you are looking at 1K.
I did it just for you, Ulises! Haha! And guess what? Oliver is already selling the ORV! (Link in description). I've got one on its way to me, I'll be reviewing it next. 👊
This is one of the reasons why I love this hobby and the community! I'm happy for you, you get these parts, and I'm happy for this guy he gets an opportunity to show them to the world, literally! It looks very nice, clearly not just some hobbyshop manufacturing, but proper finish on it! I'll be looking forward to seeing you build this thing, I am not even familiar with the original, so it's completely new to me.
Yeah Mads, this is certainly one of the coolest parts of the hobby. When an enthusiast becomes a designer and manufacturer helping other enthusiasts. I'm happy to be a part of it all. 😁
Great concept mate.... something us die hard vintage Tamiya fans are crying out for! Probably a total nightmare from a design/production aspect but the Porsche 959 /celica grb would be a dream come true! I own 3 of these, and run one of them regularly..... the vintage ABS was brittle 35 years ago, now with age its weaker than thin glass! 🤣 Parts are rediculously hard to find now, and I'm sceptical as to wether tamiya will ever re re this one? Something like this would be ideal for those of us who wish to continue running these vintage icons! Great video as always fella. 👍 👍 👍 👍
Hey Yoda, thanks again for the great comment! I'm totally jealous of your 95o collection! Haha! And yeah, having an aluminum chassis for it would be absolutely wicked! Have you checked out TBG's site? They're making 3D printed repro parts for the 959. Stronger than stock and for your runners, might be a good fit! 👍🏻
@@poorboysrc Cheers fella! Yes, I have checked those out, they are doing some interesting stuff for that platform now.... but, I LOVE the idea of aluminium! 👌 I'm already using aluminium wishbones and suspension arms on my runner 959 which I imported from the USA.... they work a treat, and look awesome! Don't know if its of any interest to you,but you can see my 959 runner doing some time trials up against CWO1'S, ORV's and a Fazer 2 on our channel @Green Hawks RC! Nothing too serious, just a bit of fun.... and a nice crash with the porsche! 😬🤕 Also, I have a couple of shorts of my fully restored 'as new' 959 and celica grb on there to! Keep up the great work matey, really entertaining channel you got here! 👍 👍 👍 👍
Fil this is awesome dude! Thanks for bringing these chassis kits to our attention. I am restoring a Mapcap and a DF03 at the moment and they have pretty bad chassis tubs. As I am sure with most retro RC fans we struggle with finding parts to restore effectively. I will be checking out Oliver to see what else this guy does. 🙌🏻👍🏻🤘🏻
I feel your pain, my DF-03 chassis broke on the first test run, I was so bummed out! I replaced the chassis and it's been sitting on the wall ever since. 😭
The Rough Rider is also known as the Buggy Champ. The Fighting Buggy name is used for the Super Champ. I am always in two minds about updates to iconic vintage products as one view is that they are best when as close to original as possible. On the other hand, these buggies have been re-released so there is a demand for upgrades that makes an essentially 40 year old design more drivable in the modern age.
@@poorboysrc The Fighting Buggy is one of the best ever Tamiya products. It is exactly what Tamiya do best, an off-road Baja-style buggy with lots of details. The re-re kit is currently selling for 379 GBP though so by the time you have bought an ESC, servo, radio gear and battery you could easily be close to 500 GBP.
Would LOVE to see a replacement for the vintage Kyosho Ultima chassis/top plate/motor cover. Something that fits lipo batteries, and has a better battery strap option than the original. Not for the re-release, the original.
Would you mind asking them to make a chassis for the Wild Dagger? WT01 WR01. It would be really nice to be able to accomodate a LIPO, a servo mounting plate, and extended shock towers included. I think they'd be popular! They could even notch the chassis to make clearance for the tie rods. *chefs kiss*
@@PsychoticBovine I’m gonna be restoring a falcon here pretty soon and although I will take it for a rip in a parking lot I’m afraid to run it like it was meant to be.. even with the aluminum front chassis brace
Did the vid' make the chassis cool or did it make the video so cool?! Now I'm thinking of one for the day I re-build the Super Champ Re-re, thanks for the idea 😉👌 Oliver if you read this, aluminum side panels for Juggernaut mimicking a tube frame welding work (like on TXT-2) would be great! And quite easy to do, there's only one bend on the top of each, to add to some laser cutting I guess! The hard part may be to find a Jugg, though... Or I can lend my side panels? Anyway thanks to all, great video & hardware content here above! 👍
The chassis made the vid cool, hahaha. Hey, it's a thing of beauty, it's not too often we get to reinvent a 40 year old car and modernize it some way. Have a great weekend!

He needs to make aluminum chassis for every model they make.
He might get there at some point, too!
Oliver! You are the man! The falcon chassis would be awesome. Falcon chassis covers 4 different kits. Great work!
Ooooh yeah, aluminum Falcon chassis, that's two votes for the Falcon! 🍻
I've been thinking of getting an SRB, seeing this I want one even more!
It's a sign! Time to buy an SRB! 🤣

It is a very nice looking chassis! Kinda has vibes from the Ulitma in there.. the new SRB Ultima!
Haha yes! SRB Ultima would be deadly! 😎
Very nice, I can’t wait for the next video. I’m ordering one right now.

Great looking piece of kit. Gonna be a nice upgrade

Thanks pal! It's so pretty, I'm not gonna want to scratch it. 😫
Would be really cool if he did an aluminum chassis and front and rear bulkheads for the falcon since they’re so brittle
Oh yeah that's a good idea! Imagine a bulletproof Falcon?!?! 😆
I remember back in my "racing days" that a lot of Falcons got de-beaked during races.

Good call! 👌
Hi, good job, what sort of cost for the full chassis with bumper and end plate and will it be available in the UK? Cheers
On eBay but they ship from China.
With bumper and skid plate you're probably in the $175 CAD range. He ships from China so no prob getting it to the UK. 👊
Make sure you get the WIld One chassis and the sway bars that only fit the aluminum chassis.
I've seen it available on Oliver's fleet. I think the added weight might even get the front suspension to work, lol! 😆
I saw the ORV chassis and all I can say is, "darn". Wish I had seen it before I built my frog,
Oh man, aluminum ORV Frog built into a Mad-Max themed war rig would be a cool idea! 😎
