Very talented, everytime i saw a semi merge into the freeway all i hear is the gear changes and the truck driving itself, never knew there was actually a lot of moving parts the driver controlled. Definitely i have even more respect for semi drivers and I'll always be on lookout to give them the right of way
Sooo very proud to see new age DRIVER taking pride in his ride , you love what you do as much as I do and have since 93...keep the sprit driver your making us ole schools hopeful..
No doubt....I think he is most respected and idolized trucker out there. He is very proud of his skills and is having fun showing us all. God bless u and your family my friend !!!!! Second one was what the transmission was made for right? The over and under shift pattern? Right?. Thank you!!
So the low end to high splitter is up on dash and your upper splitter switch is your second stick forward and backwards easy enough if you've driven a 13 before as long as you know where the splitters are
One stick is the transmission if you watch he flips lever on dash to get to high side of trans the other shifter is just moving a air valve for the spite in high range. This is not a real two stick
@@MrPaulG1 two separate transmissions and basically your main transmission each gear is spilt by the auxiliary transmission. So if you have a 5 speed and 4 speed. For each time you move the main transmission you have went thru the 4 on the auxiliary. That's if you were loaded and needed all of the gears to,get going. Just like a 18 but with a 18 you spilt on the handle instead od another separate shifter. I think now they make a kit you can have 3 sticks instead of reaching down on the dash to go to the high side of transmission like this guy does.theres a utube video that shows the 3 stick conversation
In England we pull 40-50ton trucks with just a single gear stick, it's usually about 12 inch long and sticks out of the dash board in a conventional sorta way. Nice and easy no dancing about in the cab lifting your arm above your head to change gear or anything like that, we English must just be lazy. I must say tho the way you flick those toggle switches about makes avicci look crap
Esa agilidad con la que manejas tu camión y hacerlo ver tan sencillo es impresionante, muchas bendiciones a ti y a tu familia! & keep them wheels rolling 🤙🏼💯
Trick i learned it you gotta be fast between the shifts so the jake dosent drop the rpms. Also If ur foot is just barely on the throttle the jakes wont come on either
@@samuelrobles2590 Nope not at all. One type like in the video, shuts the fuel injectors off and open the exhaust valves and uses the compression of the motor to slow down. At a 18:1 ratio there is allot of compression. Another type is an exhaust brake, not to familiar about that type but from what I understand there is an apparatus in the exhaust line after the manifold that blocks the exhaust gases that well give you the same braking. I don't think it's as effective though.

Ok. I thought the 2nd stick shifted way to easy. Because like a 6×4. Not crazy hard. But your 2nd has tention like the 1 stick. Thanks that clears up alot

The pride that you take in your line of work is extremely respectable. Defying the stereotype. Keep on truckin'
