It's grammatically correct to say both... English: Both "learnt" or "learned" is acceptable, and learnt is more common. American: "Learned" is more the current usage.

This regularity largely accounts for the accent Dutch people have when speaking English. This linguistic pattern might also be the source of this 'learnt'
