    Thank you, very helpful and I’m pleased to say, we have all five. Not actually ventured anywhere with our caravan yet! As our son likes to remind us....”all the gear, no idea” :)

      Thanks for watching. Haha that’s funny. Kids can be so cruel😂. Ours take the pee whilst being secretly jealous (I think 🤔) Graham

    Hi Graham we’ve had them so long we can’t remember what it was like without them, the venerable Aqua Roll. I had plastic containers to start with 30 plus years ago. Aqua Roll 👍

      Hi Colin, yes of course the old trusty Aqua Roll. Almost every caravan has that make as well. 👍🏻 Graham

    Never seen the screw in pegs... clever device! Like that idea... although no awning so not sure why I’d want them 🤣🤷‍♀️🙄 Pegs were always a sore point when we were campers.. caused lots of groans between us. Great top tips 👍👍

      You must have a canopy 🤷‍♂️Hahaha I’m that much of an “influencer” you’ll buy them even though you don’t need them. Thanks for watching 👍🏻GB

      Ahhhhh, Of course! It’s been that long since we last used the awning I’d forgotten 🤣☀️😎 Bring on the sunshine and perhaps shiny “ new” pegs!!

    Funny, I’ve only just started using a battery drill, amazed how much easier it is. 👍🏼 our air awning recommends no more than 7, just in case you become trigger happy. Great tips and no mention of a jockey wheel 😉

    Totally agree about the cordless drill, we started with one years ago, but it died about 5 years ago. Finally replaced it last year and wish i'd done it sooner.
    One of the best labour saving things we did was buy a bigger caravan so we don't need to struggle with an awning of any kind :D

    Hi Graham, some great tips there mate. I used to hate hammering in the rock pegs into hard standing pitches, maybe I should have got a drill and screw pegs, and used the drill on the legs too, dammit maybe I wouldn’t have got fed up with the messing around and got rid of the Caravan 🙄🤣

  • @mikehallmark.8984
    @mikehallmark.8984 4 роки тому +1

    Allways find with screw pegs it's easier to hammer them in then use the drill to bring them out

    I bought screw bolts and washers from Screwfix a lot cheaper than the caravan shops

    Thanks Graham. We still have a pole awning and find it okay but love the idea of screw in pegs. We have had problems getting standard metal pegs in a couple of pitches we have been on. Thanks for another great video. Ian

    Great video! I'm new to carvanning only starting last year and have all the items you mentioned, minus the screw pegs, we just went for rock pegs. With two young kids all of these do help to speed up setup time, especially the electronic air compressor, as you can set the PSI to shut off as a specific value. I think its great that it can do that whilst you sort out other bits!

      Thanks for watching. We love the compressor. Get some odd looks sometimes. But very handy! Graham

    Hi graham yip have these 5 gadgets only tried the screw in once and found they went in very easy,and fast although i did manage to rattle my fingers when doing so.

      Thanks for watching. YES! I too have had a few mishaps, usually going too quick with the screwing in and the bloody thing wobbles and I wrap my knuckles :-) Graham

    Another entertaining & useful addition to your video archives Graham... 👍🏻
    Funny, we have not even done a year yet and, apart from your screw jobs, now have all the gear and still very little idea... 🤷🏼‍♂️😂
    I have all but given up on the awning, even though it is air based (and I have the electric pump never used!) and decided to try the Airstream approach. That is, try living with just our new full length Fiamma canopy and see how we get on. After all, Airstreams do not have an awning rail anyway, do they... 🤔👀
    Thanks again matey, Rog... 👍🏻😉🐍

    New subscriber this is my third video of yours ive watched i I like your down to earth and informative approach and helpful hints ...... l also find your sense of humour funny keep up the good work......I am renovating my older caravan into off grid/on grid haven for when shtf this winter I bought it because the seller ripped out units and gas heater and replaced with lovely multi burner stove and chimney set up. Being a female new to caravans I have to do a lot of research and plan to heat up big pot of water on top of multi burner stove for off grid showering with perhaps usb rechargeable shower if power goes down. Please don't think I am some raving loony I am not I am actually an Artist and OAP but do enjoy a challenge. Thank you for taking the time to read this comment any advice from yourself or others would be welcomed....xx hugs from Scotland xx 😀🤗

    The screw pegs you mentioned Graham are fine they work in certain grounds,, had trouble one year trying to get them in over gravel and very hard compact ground.
    Site owners came over a just hit them in with small lump hammer.
    Absolutely allot easier and they didn’t bend , the heavy duty Vango one’s are great also 👍

    • @CaravanVlogger
      @CaravanVlogger  4 роки тому +1

      I’ve been told to pour water on pitch first if it’s too hard. I’ve had a few issues with them on harder pitches and sometimes revert to using a hammer 🔨 Graham

      HitchUpAndTow Thanks for watching. They don’t always work well, especially if the ground is too hard. I always keep hammer and pegs with me. Graham

    Nice video Graham. One add on though, a roll out awning like our Westfield, even easier than an air awning.

    Good video Graham, The reason twins are hard to move by hand is friction from the wheels. A single is easy enough to do with two of you as long as jockey wheel the right way before you start moving it. We have some screw-in awning pegs but not tried them as of yet. I have lost the adapter at present so need to buy one.
