Joe and Nic. I want to make sure you know how grateful we (I am) are that you did this trip and shared it with us. Your consistent factual format with your personal commentary was fantastic. This pseudo-anthropological tour is unlike anything I’ve seen before. It was informative and entertaining. Your calm documentary style delivery interspersed with tidbits with your travel companion, Nic, was watchable every episode. I’m an airline pilot and travel too, but I kept coming back again and again to see where your adventures took you and what your ‘take’ was on the places and sights you visited. My personal and sincere thanks for this series. Enjoy your time home!
Your remarks were said so eloquently Much better than I ever could but I'm certain that we all agree. I've been with them not from the start but close to it. Each week, I look forward to a new adventure. In fact, I am planning to post their link on my social media sites. This channel is too interesting not to share.
Thank you ❤ Glad to see you made it back home safely. Now that you have taken us on a road trip to remember, where do we donate as a form of thank you? A lot of bloggers are up front with asking, and their content isn't nearly the quality of yours.
You have been a calming source of comfort as i grieve the loss of my 29 year old son. I am thankful i found your journey and will miss your adventures.
You know, you did an excellent job editing that long trip back to your 'hotel-home' in Dallas. I was mesmerized. Even from the interstates, it's a marvelous country. You both ought to take a long rest. What a demanding odyssey!
I also enjoyed that drive home. In Harrisburg, you passed over the Susquehanna River, it’s probably as wide as the Mississippi, but doesn’t carry as much water. I’m planning a trip to the Knoxville area, so it was nice to see what 81 looked like. Rest well.
I lived in Boston's north shore suburbs in the 1980s-90s and to this day still miss living there. In October 1992 I watched the cast of Cheers film some intro scenes that came before the opening credits. In one, Woody rolls up on his bicycle and chains it to a parking meter. He starts to go inside but then turns around to put change in the meter. In another, Norm and Cliff are just hanging out on the street talking when some guy pulls up in a Jaguar and thinks Cliff in his mailman uniform is a valet parker and gives him his keys. Cliff and Norm seize the opportunity by getting into the cool expensive car and go cruising. Thousands of us were gathered to watch the filming of these episodes. Cheers was a great show and I never get tired of watching the reruns.
Thank you. Massachusetts native, now in Maine. Lived in Boston late 1960s to mid 1980s. In the early 1970s, the Cheers bar was a real neighborhood bar, the Bull & Finch. I used to go there with my friends to drink beer and play darts. The upstairs space was a sort of dance hall. Then Hollywood came.
It’s nice to see The Mayflower again. The last time I saw it was at Brixham in the mid 50’s whilst it was being built. We went on a school trip from Plymouth UK and I was 12 years old. I can remember the smell of the Oak. Hard to imagine it was once at the cutting edge of sea transportation. We really enjoy your travels, keep on producing your films. Thanks. Colin.
Thank you for coming to Massachusetts. Welcome! We are a different breed here but we mean well. Enjoy the history and the seafood and pay the weather no mind. This is typical New England.
This is fantastic. We have traced my family back to a cabin boy on the Mayflower :) and one of my ancestors involvd in the Boston Tea Party. I love history. Thanks for this video
A great video. I'm really enjoying all the amazing historical sites and the beautiful, very old buildings. Plymouth was beautiful. I was a big fan of "Cheers", too !! Thank you both so much for all that you do, in sharing your travels with us. I am very grateful, and enjoying it so much. I hope you and Nicole are enjoying a very well deserved break. Thanks again, and take care.😊❤
I was a long haul driver for 25 yrs, over 2.1 million miles. I delivered in every state in the contiguous US, including Alaska. I retired in 2007 and am 90 yrs old now. You and Nicole brought back some memories for me for sure. I got to where I didn't need a road map and of course this was before GPS and other fancy electronics. Thank you both and I'll watch for those trips that I missed and look forward to seeing you both again on the road. In the meantime relax and chill out ya'll certainly deserve it. Stay safe!
Good morning Joe and. Nicole I always enjoy watching your videos love the history lesson. Glad I stayed to end. Get your rest. Looking forward for more whenever. Watching from Jamaica 🇯🇲.
Even though I'll never see those places in person you made some memories for me. Thank you ! I know that when you crossed over the Arkansas line into Texas you felt like a kid coming home from summer camp. Great trip, great desserts, and great commentary. Rest up- drink up and please hit the road again. Sincerely, Jim Thornton
I just LOVE your channel. Bless you for doing this all for we viewers. I'll miss you both if you should stop sharing your life interests. You do such a marvelous job, simply put. ❤🩹 (edited the end of your vid made me 🥺😥)
I love this channel! It's better than any "travel show" on Tv! I'm from a small country in Europe, but i always liked American small-town way of life. Thanks Joe and Nic!
What an awesome way to end the trip. The state and the history, and the drive back set to that awesome music. Just wanted to say, we've been watching the videos you guys make for several months now and it's been such a great escape from the hard parts of life, occasionally stirs up memories for the places we know, and really gets the gears going about places we could maybe go to live someday. Even if this trip is done, I think it's something people will discover and watch for years to come. Thanks for the ride.
Amazing video! Thank you for giving people the chance to see so many places of this country that most of us never will. I appreciate everything both of you have done. What makes every video special is your laid back style of presentation. It must feel good being home relaxing after that awesome journey. Best of luck to both of you and thanks for sharing the memories.
Well done, God bless the commonwealth and its people. Very cool to see Mass here on UA-cam. Also it seems you had just missed what we consider a heat wave. Thank you for documenting Massachusetts.!!
I commented on a previous video that you posted how i enjoy watching your travels across the states. My wife was suffering from cancer and would go to bed at 8 and i would lay with her and watch your journey .unfortunately she passed away on the 2nd of August so now I sit and watch you to pass the evenings away. Many thanks for doing them,it really did help .x

Cheers is nice. Enjoyed your footage of your trip home. Beautiful deer sighting! Hope you have a nice break from your travels. Look forward to your next adventure !
I have been watching you all for months. I am sad to see your journey end, but can't imagine how exhausted you are! I really appreciated your videos as I am unable to drive, and have been sick the last few years. Your videos have been a way for me to travel and live vicariously! Your commentary is exceptional imo, never anything injected, just the facts delivered in your way, and honest observations. Have a wonderful rest, and enjoy your family! Will miss you guys!😊
Brilliant brilliant video, like all your videos absolutely brilliant and love all that you do. One of my all time fav channels. Really loved that you filmed the drive home that was so awesome. I've never posted here b4 but I've enjoyed the ride very much! Thanx again and hope 2 c more vids after u guys rest up...a lot!! Thanx its been great!
Time lapse return with music, nice touch. I teared up when you showed the shot of the Shenandoah Valley from I-81. Virginia is My home state near Roanoke. God I miss those beautiful mountains. Thanx for the trip. Bet You Folks loved seeing the Lone Star Flag. 😃
I loved your video. FYI while visiting the Baltic States of Eastern Europe in the early 2000’s we took the opportunity to pull off the highway out in the country. We visited a cemetery that seemed in the middle of nowhere to us visitors. The cemetery was very old and had remnants of the former Soviet Union in a lot of the designs of the headstones… Lots of families in this area have made their family plots into little parks of sorts; with benches, iron fences and decorated gates. We found out that families often visit their family’s graves on holidays, etc. for gatherings and picnics. 4 years ago our oldest son, 40 yrs old, died very unexpectedly. We buried him in a little country cemetery 1/4 mile from our home(easy walking distance). My husband and I are the caretakers of the cemetery. We visit our son there often. When our daughter was home with her 3 children for Easter this year- we had an Easter Egg Hunt at the cemetery so we could include our son, brother and uncle in our fun. So, the thought of have gatherings in cemeteries is not morbid to us at all…..
Watching you video's from UK one thing I noticed is how clean your roads and pavements are over there, in the UK there's chewing gum and dog poop everywhere, crisp packets and sweet wrappers chucked everywhere. I'm amazed how the streets are kept so clean in the US.
I think that's true in the Northeast aka New England, where the population is much less diverse while also being older. The upshot is greater social cohesion, greater prosperity, less socially aberrant behaviour, less crime.
What a great run and I was able to see man places for the 1st time, thank you both. Heading back to Dallas has got to be a relief because I lived there and it was the best 10 years of my life.
Have never been to Massachusetts as an adult, but this inspies me to visit! Am a direct (great-grandson) descendant of John Alden, youngest signer of the Mayflower Compact... 📜 ✍️
Really enjoyed your video! Just a note, in case no one else brought it up, Captain John Smith and Pocahontas were associated with the settlement in Jamestown, Virginia (1607). Sorry, used to be a high school history teacher . . . 😁
What an amazing road trip you two have made going to parts of America that a Brit like myself never gets to see.Fantastic Joe & Nicole, have a nice break and I look forward to further adventures in the near future!!!
I Enjoy your travel videos. I remember the Bull and Finch from the 1970s. 25 cent screwdriver tuesdays was popular back then. The floor was covered in stale beer and peanut shells. We would stop by on our wander home from the Spring Lane pub next to the old post office. That’s where the Cliff Clavens would hang out.
WOW!! A very great video,. Enjoyed every thing so much...thank you "Joe for all work you put into all your videos,. And it shows...have a good an restful time now, all my best to you an Nicole...looking forward to seeing your next trip...God Bless! Stay safe.🌼
I absolutely love your channel. My forefather landed there in 1632 and returned to England to pick up his wife and two children in 1635. My forefathers statue is in Springfield, Massachusetts next to the library and museum.,
My wife and I really enjoy your trips to parts of this country we'll probably never get to see. We'll catch up on all the places you can take us while you take a well deserved vacation at home.
Three months on the road is long enough for anyone, you must have been tired out. It's been a fascinating ride for us though so thank you very much for doing it. Personally I loved your small town Texas videos and would watch anymore of those you put out. Once again thank you.
We took that same route from Fredericksburg VA to Dallas TX 29 years ago for our last relocation with my husband's job. Can't imagine living anywhere else! Thanks for the ride!
I think my ancestors crossed the waters in The Mayflower on my dad's side. Because on my mom's side my Great Grandparents came over through Louisiana. Also, love the music!
Thank you so much for the great tour of places I would never have seen otherwise. We are just into spring heading into summer here in New Zealand; hope to see you touring again after a well earned rest.

Love watching you videos. Thanks
I also paid homage to Cheers when I visited Boston. How could you not? I still watch the show lol.
Cool!
Amazing videos, thanks !!!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💯👍
Three months on the road is long enough for anyone, you must have been tired out.
It's been a fascinating ride for us though so thank you very much for doing it.
Personally I loved your small town Texas videos and would watch anymore of those you put out.
Once again thank you.
Your wish is my command. I have a rural small town Texas video going up this coming Tuesday. :)
thanks for the ride...quite enjoyed it
We took that same route from Fredericksburg VA to Dallas TX 29 years ago for our last relocation with my husband's job. Can't imagine living anywhere else! Thanks for the ride!
thank you for your videos. It was special..
Loved the Video, especially the music & journey back home. Safe travels and much love from New England!!!! 🤘🏻😎❤❤❤
I think my ancestors crossed the waters in The Mayflower on my dad's side. Because on my mom's side my Great Grandparents came over through Louisiana. Also, love the music!
Yes, he always has good music.
awesome roadtrip, thanks.
The cool weather kept the crowds away. You were lucky. 69 and breezy in August sounds fabulous. It's 97 with steamy humidity where I live.
Awesome , just awesome ! Favorite Cheers quote from Norm , " It's a dog eat dog world and here I am wearing milk bone underware ! LOL
Thank you so much for the great tour of places I would never have seen otherwise. We are just into spring heading into summer here in New Zealand; hope to see you touring again after a well earned rest.
Beautiful Massachusetts!! I’m so happy I found your channel. It’s so calming and I dream of traveling like this one day.
I like how you add history into you travels
