In fact, they're the ones who hype you up the most. Trust me, everyone's minding their own business at the gym, no one's here to judge you at all.
Same here lol I expected stuff to happen but it never happened in the gym I go to ppl just don't even talk and they literally mind their own business Edit- ppl ty sm for making me popular I feel like a celebrity now lol lol
SAME!!! I've been going to the gym two years now and everyone's minding their own business. The only time strangers talk to each other is asking if they can use the same machine as you are (switching reps). I've genuinely never felt uncomfortable there, it's actually my safe space, and there's usually more men than women.

To people in comments section, not every gym has good friendly environment. Many gyms have toxic people going there who insults other people, body shame other people and make sexist comments. First day I went to a gym I was nervous but started working out it was all good but suddenly some men their started commenting on me having big bust and hips also some women commented that having a curvier body signs unhealthy lifestyle. I changed to next shift and it was same. The next gym was same too. Gyms of my locality is not good , so I started exercising at home. It made me happier. It made me became less ashamed of my body. It worked out fine which I'm glad bout .
Thanks for this. I really don't understand all the comments that say that no one in a gym is gonna judge or even care about you. It's not true. Also, yay for training at home!! You can do alot there, even without dedicated equipment :) All the best to you!
For people that's just starting/is considering starting working out: this doesn't really happen. I have worked out for years in different gyms and this doesn't really happen. Don't worry! Most of us just mind our own business! Just go there and do it! You got this ❤️
It prob depends on what gym you go to. I’ve never had people laugh at me/make comments, but when I used to workout at PF, I had guys regularly hit on me. One was super persistent about it, but I’ve not had that otherwise. I now go to my school gym and have never had someone bother me.

I feel like I'm bringing attention to the bad ppl out there and they just stare at me like I'm a treasure or smth😢. Women and girls are harassed cause they have a flat chest. Those who are the complete opposite are harassed too! The world really needs to change and keep inspiring people, not body shaming, just like you😊... I'm so thankful that you stood up for yourself and others❤
Whenever someone with a “bad” physique walks into a gym, the people there are proud that they made that choice and that they were brave enough to go into an uncomfortable situation. You go girl
I've gone to 3 different gyms in the past 2 years and I've had this happen to me several times. Not even just guys. Girls have done it too. They all just laugh at me for going to the gym. It got to the point where I just bought gym equipment and now workout at home.
I started as a flat and thin girl too, but luckily gym bros that I met are actually the nicest people I have ever known in my life. They helped me like a lot. Such an unfortunate event you meet people like that in your gym.
For real, the only interaction I ever got was when I asked one of the girls if the trainer is on leave today and she said yes. Nothing except for that for MONTHS.

Nah you’re literally living in a fantasy or being naive there’s hundreds of videos on TT making fun of fat people working out trying to better their lives and the comments typically males also making fun of them, so much so that normal buff people have to make disappointed reaction videos, calling them out for being horrible people. It happens a-lot and yall wont admit it.
I usually think what ppl could think etc And that makes me not wanna try (in a lot of stuffs, not always) And agree this kind of videos don't help. Special when I have a brother that go to gym and says what ppl do/not do.
These I always feel like are thoughts that are going on in their heads . Say someone is laughing near you and you hear it , their minds immediately go to “ oh their laughing at me because I’m not using the machine right .“ when In reality they are watching a dank meme lol.
Posts like this scared me from going to the gym as a woman for a while. Now that I've actually experienced what it's like firsthand, this has literally never happened to me. Never been hit on, never had someone bother me, never had anyone body shame me, just people keeping to themselves and/or encouraging me to keep going.
Idk but I'm scared if they record me because I am doing something wrong or my body doesn't fit to their expectations. Don't we see all those memes online? I'm pretty sure none of them asked a permission to them but just share that with others :(
Imagine that, you lived like a normal person and all that made up shit just melted away because the world is filled with normal ass people that don't care whatsoever about anybody else's delusions!
(Please don’t take this as an insult) I feel like these videos are what makes people fear the gym even more. This video is the reason why going to the gym used to freak me out. Now that i actually go, none of these really happen. But it depends on your experience of course!

the gyms one of the few places where i've seen it be the opposite. people don't care what you look like, they respect that you're putting in the effort. theres going to be creeps, there are creeps no matter where you go, not just the gym. i understand people being nervous going to the gym, i was incredibly nervous my first month, but thats mainly because people play it up like this
Exactly! In the gym the majority of people are focused on their own craft. They are there to improve themselves. Videos like these scare people from going to the gym. I’m not saying it doesn’t happen but I’ve never seen it happen to anyone I know
Remember, You're such an icon to all girls and women who felt insecure about their body❤ Keep going Clara! Ignore the haters and stay positive. It will take their breath away.
Sadly, I've had this happen to me as a guy before. I was lifting weights and a female comes to me, and just placed her hand on my chest while asking if I was single. (Once upon a time I had muscle and was good looking) I actually dropped the weights with a loud *CLING* that everyone heard and backed away from her. I just said "Whoa! I don't know you! Don't touch me like that.". She scoffs and muttered something, but I couldn't really hear since I still had one earbud in. Edit:. Thank you for your lovely comments, but I was merely sharing my experience with this subject. I've long since learned to deal with this. I'm not saying I don't appreciate it, just that I've grown over the years.
People aren't thinking about you nearly as much as you think they do, especially at the gym. They're focused on what they're doing - their form, their breathing, heart rate, trying to gauge how many more reps they can pump out, etc Most people are actively trying not to look at anyone.
I'm a woman and was literally never approached like this at the gym. I work out hard, make ugly faces, and sweat a lot. I sometimes feel the pressure that guys find me repulsive in the gym and mock me just like the quotes in the video but instead of being thin, I feel like I'm being judged by being a little fat and not very toned even though I work out very often. However, I know that these are the thoughts I have in my mind. I really don't know what others think and I really don't need to. The thing I need is to face my insecurities and change my thoughts about myself, which I started to do. Edit: Thank you all for liking my comment. I've never gotten this many likes before, and whenever I write this type of a comment, people reply judgmentally. This is the first time I've gotten positive feedback, and it feels nice that there are other people who can relate. I hope that we will gradually gain our self-confidence. This is a bumpy road, but I see no other way. The challenges make this road even more meaningful.
Nobody approaches women like this tho. She’s literally just copied another girls video idea for attention and support. And btw, don’t be worried that people will judge you in the gym, any person who isn’t insecure is there just to better themselves and everybody focuses on themselves. We do not give a shit what other people are doing and if we see a fat person for example, we don’t judge them, we commend them (in our minds) for even turning up. Everybody is in the gym to be stronger, we all have the same goal
@@frostop9776 I know... I've been working out for 7 years now and I'm 22. You you do the math of at which age I started the gym. I know people support each other, but for women, it is a little different. I sometimes feel like as men are more into weight lifting and women are more into cardio exercises conventionally, when I'm lifting and using equipments, I feel like men resent me because I'm using "their" equipments. Also, they see me coming to gym occasionally, so they see my face. I feel like they would think, "How is this girl lifting those weights and doesn't have toned muscles?" I'm not fat, but my abs were never defined, you know. I know these are unhealthy thoughts to have, but it happens unconsciously because of the societal norms I've learned. I try to brush it off immediately of course because well, I wouldn't be able to work out if I didn't.

I agree with everyone that this is pretty rare to happen! It definitely still does though, and it especially depends on the gym you go to. Yes when I was fat (still arguably fat/ chubby at 133lbs 5”3 16yrs old) to my surprise no one said anything to me negative or gave me any mean looks and they just let me get on with it, and my experience with gym members online is they actually respect everyone going to the gym no matter what, all after the same goal after all 😁

She may think people are silently judging her, her whole account is her talking about her “imperfections” she’s sadly very much looking into what other people think and this is why she made it. Every look from someone etc. she could’ve interpreted it as judging whether it was or wasn’t

I've never gotten this many likes before, and whenever I write this type of a comment, people reply judgmentally. as a girl who goes to the gym constantly this is unrealistic. people at the gym don’t talk to each other, and no one makes comments about someone’s progress. it’s a supportive community
@nat lee No OP is completely right. This is definitely not a regular for her, sadly it’s her insecurities making it bigger then it seems on the outside. She may think people are silently judging her, her whole account is her talking about her “imperfections” she’s sadly very much looking into what other people think and this is why she made it. Every look from someone etc. she could’ve interpreted it as judging whether it was or wasn’t
@nat lee He was sexually harrasing her.And these type of creeps exist everywhere and should be arrested
@nat lee it’s not just this one persons experience at this point, literally everybody in the comments is saying the same thing.
I’ve met several women varying in personalities and experience stating that they never got weird or creepy glances, the gym is a supportive community, and several people I’ve met and in this comment section agrees soZ
@nat lee just bcs something bad happen to u once doesnt simplify all the experience at gyms be like this. It’s okay to validate your mom bad experience there but it’s not common. The common thing is that ppl usually don’t care abt each other at gyms, your experience may just be factor by your environment not the gym environment
That’s not always true lol. And just because your experience isn’t like another’s doesn’t mean that you can discard what she’s saying. You guys don’t live in the same community or around the same kind of people. This does happen to people all the time everyday including people such as my peers and I 😘

Facts
Nah the gym community is so chill. The gym I go to no one talks to each other and the only thing we would say is ‘are you using this?’
If you are skinny/ flat: gets made fun of/ harassed
If you are “beauty standard worthy, big chest, small waist, big butt,”: harassed
If you are “overweight” you are made fun of.
There is no escaping, you just have to not let other people take you down.
Nobody harasses anybody in a public gym. They are there to work out.The only ones that do are women recording themselves while calling any man who even glances in there direction a “creep”. This victim mentality has to stop.

I’m a girl and have been going to the gym for 5 months now and I can confirm this is extremely unlikely to happen. I used to be so afraid of being judged at the gym before I started going. I honestly thought people would make fun of me or look at me weirdly for being scrawny and underweight, but after going I realized no one cares about you there. Someone might try to flirt with you once in a blue moon, but most people don’t talk at the gym. I’ve been to 3 different gyms at 3 different locations in different counties, and it’s all the same environment. It’s a place where even introverts can enjoy because everyone is minding their own business. The most conversation you’ll get at the gym is “how many sets do you have left?” if you’re on a machine they’re waiting on. I’ve even had nice guys offer to help me take off weights from a machine cuz they saw me struggling to remove the ones left by the previous user lol. It’s a nice environment, so ladies don’t be afraid of going ☺️

How can you say gyms are never like that? So many people have so many different experiences because we all live in different places with different environments. I’m glad you’re experience has been great and I like that you want to encourage people to visit a healthy place like that.
I don’t personally go to gyms, my partner is a gym guy and I know personally he’s had a great experience and been around a lot of kind people. Another friend I have has been sexually harassed at gyms and insulted at.
