How To Tailor The PERFECT Summer Outfit

It's summer time, it's getting hot out and in this video I'm going to show you how you can tailor a long sleeve button down shirt into a short sleeve one. Nothings more annoying than finding a dress shirt that you WANT to be short sleeve but it isn't. Well, I got this shirt at Target, took in the side seams and added darts to make it fit perfect, and then cut the sleeves off.
Next, we're going to take some Target chino pants that I got and turn them into some shorts. All you need for all of this is a sewing machine, some sewing pins, a fabric measuring tape, and some fabric scissors. Takes about 20 minutes and then you're good!

On the shorts, shouldn't you have measured 2" up from the bottom of the leg instead of 1"? In the video you're folding the 1" of material in half to reach up to the pin. BTW Love your videos. They are an inspiration.

SD ! i get if you’re not up to it or wouldnt enjoy it but i really would like to learn how to shorten suit jacket sleeves from somebody who isnt just doing it anyway so they might as well record it...we hate to see that, but yea i know it would be a REAL challenge to make that tutorial because the other videos make it seem like a very tedious alteration.

Stylish Dad, can you PLEASE show us how to tailor the shoulder if it is too long so that the shoulder and sleeves fit?
All my shirts fit bad in the shoulders because its the only one where my neck fits.
