How strong is the community? I haven’t played AOE3 for five years. Been thinking about starting again
The AoE3 community is smaller than the AoE2 community, but still very strong. There are many players you can play with. The amount of active high level players right now isn't that high. Probably between 15-25 players. Though, there is a very active community site called ESOCommunity where players can talk about the game and where tournaments are hosted.
There's a solid multiplayer base as shown by the steam graphs steamcharts.com/app/105450 :). Though, this doesn't take into account those running the game from the original CDs or the fairly large community over on GameRanger using cracked copies. There will be no trouble finding a game, especially at lower levels (especially if you like 3v3 Deccan hehehe). In terms of community, most people are on the forums over at eso-community.net where we host tournaments and all sorts. Newbies welcome :)

I would like a graphic update, the game needs to be improved to full-hd def, too many squares. I would love to see Latin or Revolutionary civs as an expansion pack
I would like to see more historical event campaigns, like the ones from aoe 2 that have real historical events and figures in them

Something that frustrates me very much is that there's no Voicechat in-game, which would bring a whole new dynamic to the game, making the contact between the players more easy and therefore easier to combine tactics, synchronize attacks, etc. Another bad thing that annoys me is the impossibility of returning to a game once your connection drops. The vast majority of online games today give you condition to resume to the match after restored the connection.
Besides that, I would like to see a balance in some broke civs and maps, so we can start dreaming of a competitive scenario that would be awesome and last for a long time.

I know competitive players are picky and want well balances maps but I also would like more maps than the retail version and theres already quité a few.
That and buffing the natives posts to be more used by everyone
k R i think most natives are pretty strong it’s the players mechanics that opts for a player to build them or not..

I would love to see the inclusion of the cut Italy and Sweden civs for AoE 3 DE. However I'm not sure if they'd be willing to do that. We'll see. Thanks, Interjection!

@@muhammadkhairul3098 LOL, I suppose so. I figured it would at least be these two because Italy and Swedes were originally supposed to be in AoE 3 but were cut rather late.
The most confusing thing about adding Swedes but not Italy is that Italy had the most available moving parts of any cut civilization in AoE 3 so they would have had the easiest time adding them. Sweden had the least amount. Italy even had an available voice set which makes it even more dumbfounding. Either way, hope to see Italy sometime in AoE3 DE!

Wars of Liberty for the original AoE 3 was my home for a very long time and still is to some degree. It's a great one too.

Age of Empires 3 needs some kind of Australia DLC or maybe Africa as well.

The Sioux Warchief snare in age 1 can also be worth consideration since with a renegado convert, it can have a big impact on transition tp civs.

Anchor ceasefire to (now) un-targetable buildings and no fighting within their line of sight, favouring the instigator of the ceasefire. So there can still be battles and the like, just a ways away. Having a two second delay between ending the ceasefire is a neat idea.
interjection are you going to start doing aoe3 de videos? you should do some strategy videos for different civs and of course your commentaries, great time to grow your channel with all the potential new content and new players
I completely agree with diarouga about cease fire!! This mechanic doesn't belong in an rts game

Hopefully the native civs will have upgreadable cities this time around I was very dissapointed when I couldnt update Tenochtitlan in the original. I know, unimportant stuff but I really like playing as my home team in these kinds of games.

Got to be honest, I'm not expecting much if they treat ao3de the same as aoe1de and since aoe3 isn't as popular im scared that is the case
the main problem with aoe3 was always lack of balance and the p2p multiplayer system instead of dedicated servers

Not sure if this is a popular opinion, but I would be in favor of reducing (by a lot) the number of cards, maybe even making a fixed 30 - 40 card deck for each civ in the game. Ofc, each deck would have to be diverse enough to accommodate lots of possible strats, while also being a bit specialized giving certain civs some strengths on some areas. I think this way there would be a lot of possibilities from the start of the game till the end, giving the players some flexibility as well. In summary, i'm all for bigger, more generic, fixed decks for each civ.

How about a Saturday smackdown where players are allowed only one resource shipment and one unit shipment (that you dont pay for, mercs are ok). Since most shipments are villies, res or units, this would cause some interesting strategies to emerge.
So basically only upgrades & wagons? I like it
@@InterjectionVideos pretty much, I think players would have to weigh their options - 700 wood or 700 coin? 3 vils for early eco or age 2 units for rush/defense? I hope it might make some underplayed cards useful!

Another nice idea would be giving the Spanish the aoe 2 conquistador but that's Maybe a bit too dreamy but it would give their somewhat specific unitraster a goon which especially in team games always finds a use
They could give them a tech that increases infantry move speed

the highest improvemment would be the constants out of sync matches, lol..
new single player campaign
My wish list:
- more maps form different continents
- more factions e.g. Poland-Lithuania, Sweden, Italians, Incas and Mayans, Ethiopians and other African factions, (aoe2 with all its expansions has such a good selection of factions, but aoe3 felt really lacking in that department).
- new historical campaigns that are like aoe2’s faction specific campaigns.
- option for random map generation, as especially with the whole explorer gameplay, it’s better if each map is a mystery.
- larger map options, I feel like aoe3 are smaller for competitiveness, but I do want huge maps for singleplayer fun.
- I would like to see some changes to India, as unlike China and Japan, India doesn’t have unique naval units. The Marathas used Gurabs and Gallivats, as well as the Pal (their man o war). The Martha catemaran in game is a joke.
- perhaps more unit variety, I felt like aoe2 had more units to play around with.
- improve graphics with better textures and details, although I do want the aesthetic of the original to remain.
- editor needs a more user-friendly design and more options to customise.

AoE3 wars of liberty is basically the DE, it's the perfect aoe game
More like total conversion, Napolic era makes more sense, since MS hired its main dev.
The WoL has a huge amount of bugs and balance problems which makes them very far away from being perfect since it's a fan-made project. But still, it's very fun and enjoyable to play if you are not a competitive player. It has tons of details and probably the best "unofficial DLC" for the AoE3 in my opinion. Especially if you consider that the team behind it works for free, they really put a great effort into it.
This guy just wants to make game boring. He only wants to play himself, please don't listen to him Interjection
