The cavern in Craglorn. You're 3 minutes away from skyreach and 30 seconds away from dragonstar. Easiest and quickest way to powerlevel in the game and no cost needed to get there.
Thank you for the spreadsheet! My wife and I really appreciated all of your research and data as new players! Though I had to make a copy and spruce it up with conditional formatting to better "see" all the information you provided. We settled on Grymharth's Woe as it was a great transition from Skyrim and was a good size for us. A thousand thanks!
My top 5 after HI (price vs utilities): 5. Cyrodilic Jungle House. That house paid every penny, Shrine is just in front door. 4. Vivec City. All is near to that room with two shrines just there. 3. Pilgrim Rest. Blackwood is Blackwood. All just there in two blocks plus shrine. 2. Snug Pod. If u are a master crafter this is the BEST HOUSE u can buy. 1. Highhallow Hold/Ancient Anchor Berth. The best house duo in all TESO. All is there: Stable, Bank, Guilds, Shrine, ToT, Out refuge, Impresario, Guild Traders, Craft Stations, Special Shrines. With Vivec the best city designs in all TESO.
That's a solid list - other than Vivec of course! I only use the inn room there if I'm doing a Tribute daily that requires a match in Vivec. But I'm biased. Love the Jungle House though, that one was actually my first home.
The Wayrest house is the one I use most often when I do master writs. Craft them in my primary then port outside the wayrest house. Turn in since the dude is close by.
Snugput + all cheap rooms in other city's are must have when you have some gold. High isle room and Snugput are only 2 Im using. In High Isle you don't need go downstairs to exit inn(or whatever is that building where room is), you can use doors on 1st floor and exit even faster. If you have gold to spare Wayrest house is great for master writs, but I think its 1M gold.
Awesome video! Every other housing video I have seen is horrible, they need to *walk* through the house like you do! So why has someone not sat the devs down and made them create nice urban hubs with nearby houses in every zone?
Thank you! I get so frustrated by this exact thing. Fargrave and Markarth are such a waste imo. Some of my favorite cities in the game but there's no writ boards and no housing (other than crown store exclusives) so they're worthless for daily use.
@@Kalam0n There are so many places that are just missing a few things, or have some facilities that are on the other side of a large poorly organised city. It really would not be difficult to have a number of small towns with all the facilities and a nice house. I know it would mean potentially a lot of traffic, but if there was at least one in each zone it would not be a problem.
This video looked like a promo for Tales of Tribute lol. The absolute vast majority of players find even the easiest NPC players challenging and unfun, no to mention way too time-consuming, and don't bother at all. Anyway, on topic of the houses - some places I think deserve a honourable mention at least IMO, so in no particular order: - Quondam Indorilia - it is relatively close to Mournhold, although sadly it is in the opposite direction of the trading/crafting district of the city. It is also a big house with spacious courtyard, 2 storey house with a big cellar, so one can go wild decorating it. The walls of the house are all curved and some furnitures are quite challenging to arrange, and it is among the more expensive houses at above 1 mil gold. - Mournoth Keep in Bangkorai while far from big cities, has a wayshrine right outside its gates. Very big courtyard with a big house. Again expensive at 1 mil gold. - Cyrodilic Jungle House - very close to a wayshrine, sweet little house with a courtyard. Below 100k gold price. - Old Mistveil Manor - right outside Riften, a big crafting and trading hub, and as you may have guessed it - spacious enough to decorate it to your heart's desire. 1 mil. gold - Pilgrim's rest (Inn apartment in Leyawiin) - Leyawiin is very convenient city with everything being 5 sec away from each other, and the house is very cheap.
The Cyrodilic Jungle House was my first home and still a personal favorite! I tried to set aside my personal preferences for this video, but I'm also tempted to make a tier ranking video in the future where it's all opinion and I'm not trying to be objective. I do find the divisiveness of ToT interesting too. It feels like no one cares, but I'll typically play enough to get my Rubedite trophy each month, and when I unlock the leaderboard there are always 500+ above me. That might not sound like much, but on PC-NA you can get on the weekly IA Necro leaderboard by just entering the archive.
Thank you so much! I'm still working on the design for the Ancient Anchor Berth and the Hall of the Lunar Champion but once they're complete I'll be sure to share a tour! Hunter's Glade is awesome! I've almost purchased it several times. I just wish when you zoned in, you were immediately in the glade - I don't really want to have to run through that little entrance area everytime. But it's the best for custom woodland homes/villages.
@Kalam0n I believe such an option should exist, but..... I actually use the aged Fortification as my home. XD Entry tower leads to a landing with my banker/merchant/smuggler. Good list! I have collected about half of the houses but I use Sugar Bowl, Flaming Nix, Snowmelt and Sleek Creek more than any other. Have you considered Snowmelt suite? I find Solitude an uncluttered place to do daily writs with everything you need just steps away. I noticed that your spreadsheet is abbreviated - and I hope that you'll update it with a complete list at some point. Thanks for all of you hard work!
So sorry about that, the spreadsheet does include all homes, I just left a filter enabled that was hiding Snowmelt. Thank you for letting me know! - Snowmelt is my #8 overall if we exclude premium homes.
Please do! I'm working on getting all of my homes listed in EHC, so if you're on PC-NA you'll be able to visit them in-game soon as well. I'd also recommend checking out Aether Realm on PC-NA if you want to join a housing-centric guild. So many good builders to borrow from!
Looks like I abbreviated it incorrectly, but it's the Essential Housing Community addon, or Housing Hub. You can check it out here: www.esoui.com/downloads/info2923-HousingHub.html It gives you a few more options for housing and lets you visit any publicly listed home, even if the player is offline.
Luckily, I play from the mid-Atlantic region of the US, so doors are barely an inconvenience. On PC-NA the traders are run by solid trading guilds, and if you get into decorating, you'll probably be visiting Zanil's Luxury Home Furnishings most weekends (who is stationed in the Hollow City). Oh, and there's no Justice system enforcers there, so if you've racked up a bounty and just want to get your daily writs done without dealing with it, Hollow City is the place to do it. Not to mention that my guildies might not even be in the part of the zone I want to travel to. Housing is definitely more efficient and consistent for me. I think YOUR reasoning is weird.
@@Kalam0n if your guildies are not in the part of the zone you want to travel to, you can still use the wayshrine next to you and it will be still faster than exiting your house through loading screen, plus any prime location has guild traders and/or crafting stations closer to wayshrine (that's why it's a prime location) than your house, so it's definitelly not more efficient and consistent. prime locations are belkarth, vivec city and mournhold, that's it, that quite narrows down the selection of houses to buy, right
You don't have to exit your house though... you can quick travel to the exterior of any home you own. There are also several homes that are closer to specific city amenities than Wayshrines. Snugpod is closer to the Stablemaster, Outlaw's Den, Master Writ Turn-in and Outlaw's Den than most (all?) Wayshrines in the game for example. If you prefer to travel to guildies that's cool, but it's definitely not more efficient or consistent across the board. Craglorn housing sucks, but that's probably also the least consistent zone to travel to a guildie in my experience. I'd much rather quick travel to the exterior of Sugar Bowl and hit the Elsweyr Wayshrine to Belkarth otherwise odds are I'll be on the other side of the zone and have to hit a Wayshrine anyway. Belkarth also isn't a prime location by any means unless you're running Trials, which most of the playerbase is definitely not.
They need to add some large homes to the middle of cities. It's annoying having a large nice house but ur like 2 mins ride on a max horse to wayshrine
you can have a mansion anywhere as long as you can port to you tiny house/ inn room in a city
