Thx for a great video, but what a dick move you didn't help out your "friend" that was lucky enough to find valuable ethereal dust 2 days into one of the most complicated grindy games out there! Talk about quality of life upgrade! 200k is such a motivational reward when you're new and broke! It's such a disappointment to know that's how you treat your friends. Maybe that's why you used past tense? Regardless, great info and thx again. Thank you to all the players out there who helped me out in my 1st year playing this daunting but worthwhile game. Your suggestions and generosity kept me coming back and helped me get gud!

loved Eso from 2015 to 2024 but I was playing on xbox and recently bought a high end gaming pc and realized its impossible to transfer my progress and i dont feel like downgrading back to xbox so goodbye eso unless they decide to let us transfer someday...

You can do a million character builds but every character kinda looks like it was born from the same mom and has the same fitness routine as anybody else 😅

ESO is literally my favorite MMO. I've had it since it first came out. Sometimes I'd take some breaks from it, but I'd always come back, because its just so fun.

I have ESO on PS5, but there seem to be very few players there.

I like everything about ESO but the combat system. So I just did a lot of exploration and some questing. Not really playing anymore ever since I sold my winblows pc, game doesn't run at all on mac for me. I wish there was a native support.

I think you make a lot of fair points. ESO has a lot to offer and enjoy. Unfortunately for me, and many other pvp fans, the degradation of pvp over the last years was the final nail in the coffin. The pvp streaming event a couple months ago where the lead combat designer, Brian Wheeler, demonstrated he has almost zero understanding of the combat system or ability to put together even a slightly functioning build which was enlightening and explains why pvp is in such a poor state. With that said, I am glad you are still enjoying the game and hopefully others see your video and give the game a try.

ESO is a great game. With that being said, ESO has the worst auction house system I’ve ever seen.

i enjoyed for the year then i quit got bored playing.

I stopped because of the stupid eso+ pass being needed for the crafting bag.

I quit ESO because the inland difficulty is set on r-tard mode. I will come back to this game when the difficulty is relevant. Have fun

Games been watered dowm that much that triffecas used to be very hard to clear. Everybody is a godslayer know and there as popular as a vet hm clear know.

I dislike too much the fact to play with two weapon and kinda forced to play with specific weapon to get good with your build. plus the fact that there is ZERO challenge or difficulty killing overland monster.

As someone who has never played ESO, am I okay getting into it now in feb 2025?

ESO is a good game but the action combat has always felt rather stiff to me in this game and like many other games, you're set on a hard rotation with pretty much most builds where you're looking at your hotbar 80% of the time rather than the screen. The amount of chances I give this game is beyond my ability to count at this point and the only class that at least feels the most engaging for me would be Arcanist, it's the only one with which I can sort of enjoy the game but even then I feel the rigidity of combat in this game and it's a bother yet again. I want to love this game but sadly I think it will never be one I can play consistently. Taking frequent breaks are the only way I can enjoy it.

I don't really care for MMO's, but I love the Elder Scrolls. I wish there was a way to remove the other players, but beyond that it's a great game.

I kind of like ESO. But coming from FF14, I wish the dungeon experience was better. Players just steamroll them with completely wtf builds and zero skill... Until they don't in DLC dungeons and then it's an atrocious experience.

It's my favorite one too which is sad because I don't think it's good. It's missing - a seamless world without loading screens on the edges of the map - harder difficulty during regular leveling ( I basically never die, add a companion on top and you're a God) - no open world PVP, I'm the first to admit I suck at pvp in mmo's but having open world pvp makes the game feel more immersive - less focus on microtransactions... I remember back in the day when you could get all the mounts in WOW by just playing and mobs dropping them (in this game every mount is almost the same but a recolor or a retexture of it... and they charge like 30-50 bucks for 1, that's robbery, F___ that greedy S____) - less console-y would be nice too... having more than 5 spells or whatever it is... feels like it's made for those s____ controllers

Its so refreshing to find a CC with a positive outlook on the game. Recently everyone has been so negative, and ok its justified often, but its also getting exhausting.

The action combat system is the reason I don't like ESO tbh. Just like you , I have been playing MMOs since UO Beta. I started personally to dislike action combat in MMOs, because it takes away from the character. It matters little what stats, equipment or skills the character has, if the main input of success is the pure reaction time of the player and his actions per minute. Let's compare it with an MMO that is a different beast , EvE-Online. In EvE the APM of the player matters not that much. The build of the character and the build of the ship you choose is way more important, hence theory craft and tactics. In combat, you don't need to press 120 spells per minute. Your job is to know the ship you are fighting and what optimal position your ship needs to take in battle to counter it and play out your ship strength. Knowledge of ship stats, item stats and your character play a way more vital role than your pure reaction time. The same goes for games like UO (specially Outlands) and even WoW specially classic PvP. There are so many games out there that are purely based on player reaction time, especially FPS , that I'd rather not have it in the MMO I play. So, that Action Combat you enjoy, is exactly the reason I had to stop ESO. Otherwise, it is a very good MMO and more power to them.
