‘I’d rather be a servant’ is an anthem composed by Pepper Choplin, based on Psalm 84:10. This was performed by the College Choir for the first time at the Bishop Heber Chapel for a Holy Communion service presided by the Very Revd. Dr.Robert Willis, Dean of Canterbury, during the Quartoseptcentennial celebrations of the Madras Christian College. The song has remained close to our hearts ever since, making us reminisce on the previous memories of our beloved Chapel. We offer this song as a song of thanksgiving to our God for all the blessings that He has bestowed upon us through the Bishop Heber Chapel.
