I have Subaru Outback 2023 with 15k on it. I fix this temporary by removing battery cable and connected the cable only away from battery positive and Negative to reset the system 25 sec. Worked fine for two days and issue reappeared.
I did the same thing but your car will eventually go into Limp Mode because of the TCU. Subaru is covering the cost to repair this so don’t put it off.
Our 2020 Forester Sport just started doing this the other day. It's due for an inspection but I'm going to take it to the dealer instead. Probably going to blow the tech's mind when I know what I'm talking about. Thanks, Steve!
This just happened to mine and RK told me the same! They said “if the the check engine light isn’t blinking you can drive it all you want.” I also just paid for the Gold warranty which ensures I get a loner car until mine is fixed (they put me off until next Tuesday and I have to travel for work) but none of the 5 dealers in the area have loner cars apparently. I’m more than infuriates and don’t know where to go from here. They have some of the worst customer service imaginable - I wish I never bought my outback.
Your car will go into Limp Mode eventually and you will be stranded. Hopefully when the valve eventually stops working it won’t be in the closed position and over heat your engine. My 2020 Outback did the same thing a few days ago. I called my dealer and they told me to shut off everything in EyeSight and to check your owners manual for instructions. Eyesight is not active when the light is on but if you start and stop your engine you have about three seconds at start up to change something. You have to continue this cycle until you get everything shut off. The TCU was the reason for all of the lights coming on and they knew it. Cost $130 to get towed about ten miles but they did cover all costs to fix it. If I owned a 2019-2020 Subaru it would pay to check with your dealer to see if your vehicle could have this problem. Subaru needs to do the right thing and do a recall so this problem can be correctly resolved.
6/22/24. I have this same issue. Subaru in Webster NY told me it was fine to drive around with it. I drove down to LI and lights stayed on so I took it to Subaru in Hicksville NY. They told me not a good idea to drive around with these lights on. They are fixing it for me!!
MY 2023 Ascent did this today, they do have a problem. RAB not working , when they put computers in cars you knew these issues would crop up. i'll see how the dealer handles this when i take it in.
This is happening to my 2016 Legacy. I pulled over power the car off, wait a little then restart it. The issue was fixed, temporarily. With all the different Subaru models having the same issue. I fell like there should be a recall.
Same thing just happened to me. 2019 Forester with 76K miles, thermo control valve failure. Dealership is fixing it for free even though its out of warranty. I am not aware of any recalls, but this must be a known issue.
You realize people have been driving cars for many decades before eye sight warnings and lane assist existed, right? I realize it's something you paid for, but I mean...until they get the back order parked in stock, it's just called driving normally.
@@SubaruSteve Sure, let's go with 40 years ago...still doesn't matter. I'm definitely younger than you and grew up driving stick shift and never touched cruise control until I was in my 20's. Are you claiming you can't competently drive a car without cruise control or lane assist? That's pretty sad. Or are you just being a crybaby on the internet?
I have 2021 Subaru ascent same thing happen ! Don’t know what to do😢 Check engine light on . Eyesight not working RAB is disabled. I owned 2015 Subaru crosstrek didn’t had a problem.
Update: Subaru has corporately OPENED a Case after waiting to hear from them over two weeks, at least that is progress. Car still lit up (all warning lights), Safety Systems DO NOT work, took car in for state inspection and was told, oh don't worry, we won't fail the car for that?! VA State Safety Inspection over looks Safety Systems not working? smh and the beat goes on... Passed Inspection, driving now with a 11/23 Inspection Sticker. More to follow.
UPDATE: It sure seems to me that after I made such a deal with Subaru Customer Service, that after I told them RK via emails, the part appeared and they fixed the car after driving it some 2000 miles or more. Now, they don't even reply - well, at least up until this point. I have sent another email to several email addresses in the attempt of getting something in lieu of their unsafe driving conditions I was allowed to operate this vehicle under, and for the time it took to get this to Subarus attention whereby they just forgot all about me after they fixed it. Does this mean this is how ALL OF MY CLIENTS who bought Subarus from me are now treated? Did they get ALL the 'backordered' Crosstreks fixed, or was I the squeaky wheel that got a part pulled off the assemply line, overnighted to the dealership, and fixed in an attempt to make me go away??? Sorry, folks I need answers.
Dealer Service said a loose gas cap caused the EyeSight system to shut down. The Dealership had to reset the code. I guess I need to buy an OBDII scanner.
And Im still driving around like this, I sent Subaru and email regarding this, using their website and fill in boxes, with VIN, still havent heard back from them either. You'd think SOMEONE from Subaru would have seen this by now.
Good grief. You and I were driving way, way way before any of this high tech crap was around. Now, subaru not having a loaner for you and or finacial compensation for loss of use of said vehicle is one thing, but what you're doing now is just ridiculous.
EPILOGUE: FEB 2022 UPDATE: So car is FIXED. Subaru gave me $363 for the six weeks I drove a dangerous vehcile with non-functioning warning systems! One months lease payment! That's what my safety, and my family and everyone around us seems to be worth. Very sad indeed Subaru! Candace did the minimal expected at best for you at Subaru! Shame, shame, shame. I've traded in said vehicle and reluctantly leased a new 2023 Forester.
Epilogue: Subaru gave me one months lease payment for the six weeks I drove an unsafe vehicle. I've done everything I can to ensure no one else drives a car around with all their warning lights on. Folks - if this happens to you, it's not your dealerships fault. Contact the manufactuer itself. Peace.
LOL I can’t drive a car without eyesight , so what you’re saying is you can’t drive ? You rely on the eyesight to operate a vehicle safely ? That’s crazy dude
I’m a spry 66 years old - never had an accident, the older I get, there more important the safety features. And when I pay for something I want what I pay for. Don’t you? smh
How did we ever drive around without Subaru eyes? Lol.
I know, right?

Yep!

I love my Subarus! 🫶🏼

Let's see what the Subaru dealer here in Syracuse has to say!

Same this is going on right now with mine!! We switched the battery out- annnd it went away for 2 days and came back again 🫠🫠🫠
This is happening to my 2016 Legacy. I pulled over power the car off, wait a little then restart it. The issue was fixed, temporarily. With all the different Subaru models having the same issue. I fell like there should be a recall.
There is, or was.
Did they say what caused this? Is there a recall? We just had this same thing happen to ours yesterday.
Said a bad sensor on back order!

Normal compared to 40 years ago? Or 100 years ago? Things are a LOT different in this new world. 🫶🏼

This just happened to my 2024 Subaru forester with 4k miles on
It’s a warning display, don’t let them tell you it’s ok to drive.

Needed a Thermal Control Valve ? My System is down also. Probably go to the Dealer very soon.
Wow! Over a year later and still happening?! 😳
Mine just popped up as well. 2017 outback.
Dealer Service said a loose gas cap caused the EyeSight system to shut down. The Dealership had to reset the code. I guess I need to buy an OBDII scanner.
Later today the indicator lights turned off. The last few days were below 20 degrees here. Is there any chance anyone else was in cold temps as well?
@pinoyingarland THERMAL Control Valve indicator beginning to stick…
I’ve been having this problem and with all the research I’ve done I guess it may be the battery
Good luck with that, I know differently from my 2019 Crosstrek issue. 🫶🏼

LOL Had a Nissan, Subaru ain't no Nissan! LMAO. Keep driving Nissan, if you're happy. :)
