i thought the hand over hand steering was no longer a thing?
I was told to use a "push and pull technique"
Will I lose points if I turn and cross my hands doing hand over hand steering?

That may be the case where you live. In British Columbia this is permitted.

So when I go for my road test and have to turn, and do hand over hand, I won't be deducted any merits?
