@@litzdog911 we been looking at a same model as your guy’s rv. Not to be nosy how much did the solar package cost you guy’s. We do a lot of off road camping with the grandkids.

@@insanedesert8978 Our solar/lithium upgrades were done in stages. I started with four 100Ah Battleborn batteries at $900 each. Other brands are now available for less. The trailer came with two 170W solar panels and we had AM Solar (Eugene, OR) add two more so we now have 680W of rooftop solar. Separately we carry a 140W Zamp folding panel we can connect to the trailer's Zamp side port. The big expense was the Victron Multiplus charger/converter/inverter. And, of course, installation labor. All told we're probably about $15,000 into these upgrades. Well worth it for the type of camping we do. The good news is that this equipment is getting cheaper all of the time and more and more companies now provide installation services.

Do you still need the x-chocks when you have an auto level system?

Yes, I think so. They help stabilize the suspension to minimize rocking inside the trailer.

Great job, I have an ORV 2020 26 KVS but looking for a longer & opposing slides TT like you have. Thank you

The opposing slides and spacious, open rear kitchen really sold us on the 280KVS floorplan!

Good video, it’s extremely long, any issues with that

It's about 33-ft tip-to-tip. There are much longer trailers. The main downside is that it's too big for some campgrounds.

@@litzdog911 it’s 34 foot 11 inches according to Outdoors RV’s web site so I figured it would be too long for some campgrounds. What I was really wondering was since it sits so high off the ground I was hoping that eliminates the rear dragging, any issues there? Also since there is a lot of real estate between the axles and the hitch any issues with ground contact pulling into parking lots and going thru dips? I see the front jacks are pretty far aft from the front of the trailer so they look out of danger from getting clipped. Had my heart set on the 24RKS but after seeing your video kind of like the 280KVS, just worried about the length. My brother has a 33 foot long Airstream that drags front and rear on the slightest of inclines. Thanks

@@richardbrown4816 I measured my 280KVS at 33.5 ft. We've had no issues with rear dragging or navigating dips. The tongue jack is extra long so we've never had any issues getting level. And the Lippert AutoLevel system is amazing.
