Thanks for this post! Well done! However, I will not be adding anything that might make my pump difficult to hear. Over the years, I've learned to use (and appreciate) the intermittent on/off sound of the pump alerting me to a system wide plumbing leak. And I've had a few. 😠
Jim, I used an accumulator tank in my last RV and decided to try this in my new 27TRX. It’s a huge difference over stock and an accumulator tank. Most of the time boondockers use the water on lower pressure in the name of conservation and with this unit the pressure is constant with the pump running a none pulsating low speed that you barely hear. I’m surprised this is not a more common upgrade. Buy the way, I had a leak at the same connector you did and had to tighten it more than you would normally have too. I don’t think it’s a coincidence but no biggie.
You could have bought the SeaFlo model 42 or 55 that does a much better job internally and is a fraction of the price. I have the model 42, 51, 52 and 55.

Good point. Fortunately the IRVWPC has safety features to detect slow leaks and major leaks.
