I have been shooting on RED primarily for the last 10ish years with Canon as my second unit or alternative and am seriously considering adding a C400 to replace my three R5C camera kit. Your perspective and content is telling me I'm not wrong with thoughts leaning this way.
As someone who pre-ordered it in Europe on the 6th of June it boggles my mind you guys have it already for 6 weeks... Over here no one really knows when the C400 will hit the stores... I emailed a bunch of stores about this and they all have no clue, even Canon responded that my best bet is to check my store where I pre-ordered it. It was promised for September, but this is going nowhere... I feel they let the professional user down. They were very proud to show it on IBC and throw it at a bunch of UA-camrs. Now they forgot the actual people using this gear for professional work. I hope someone of Canon reads this. Thanks for the C400 videos Alexander.
That’s really frustrating. I’m sorry to hear that. I was reading updates on that that promised a new deadline of a December delivery date. But who knows if that’ll be true.
Thank you for continuing to put out great content. It’s great to see what case, memory card, etc is working for you. Still dying to get off the pre-order list and into the owners club. Glad to see the wait will be worth it.
Love these videos, I have yet to see someone shoot some sports with this camera. I'd love to see how it goes with 6k 60 and 4k 60. Canon should have hired you! Nice footage, I still can't get over how bad Canon's launch video was for the C400
@@hawaiifreespeechnews ah well thank you. I’ll have to try some sports out. I know my buddy filming cars was not impressed with the AF subject select. That seems like a simple update though from canon.
I’m excited to pick one up soon… it looks like a beast with a ton of good ease of use features built right in. And I have a good bit of experience with the c200 and r5c so it’s gonna be fun!
Can you please make a test how the wireless video over wi-fi works ? If you'd ever have the C80 I'd love to see the difference between the two. Thanks.

I love your real world experience with the C400 these past few months. Honestly, the image looks amazing and is some of the nicest footage I’ve seen amongst UA-cam videos featuring the camera. I plan on getting the C400 soon, and the dream setup would add the C80 as a B camera with the new RF 24-105 & 70-200 lenses. I’m curious, what lenses are you typically pairing with the C400? Are you using the new RF Cinema lenses? Or sticking with the zooms?
