    That intro bass groove is FILTHY in all the right ways!

    It used to be that only Broughton Audio -- a very small company in Canada -- made a designated HPF/LPF pedal. Nice to have another option now.

      this one looks like it's tuned more for bass frequencies too the hi pass goes all the way down to 38 and the low pass is between 300 and 15k!

      @@BassRacerx the Broughton Audio pedal starts at 25 Hz though. 38 Hz is actually too high, imo. And yes, this low pass does go a bit lower (300 Hz vs 330 on the Broughton), but you would never need to low pass that low anyway. Not even in reggae.

      This is why I use a hx stomp

      The bass big muff deluxe has them built in. I mainly play on a helix now but I bring that pedal as a back up with di because of the hp please filters

      SineEffects in Scotland do several model variable ones. And SFX make a small size fixed HPF called the Microthumpinator as used by Dusty Hill.

    love these, I love those pedals which retain the natural sound, get rid of the nasty frequencies or peaks and add juice on top of that with tightening compression, eq or saturation

    IMO the Hi/Lopass pedal should have come with a resonance switch - using hipass filter to BOOST low end like that is a lot of fun, and with a low pass filter it can be a way of filtering highs without being too muffled

    I like these a lot. There were a couple there that I'm pretty motivated to get as soon as I can.

    I'm definitely looking to build a pedal board of the rack stuff I have. So these videos definitely help. I'm debating on individual pedals or a multi from Line 6, Eventide, Zoom, etc. I really don't need my massive stack and rack anymore since i don't play out but I still want what I have rackmounted.

    Cool pedals! But I wonder why you would ever need a !:! setting on a compressor? Wouldn't that be exactly the same as switching it off?

    Hallo Gregor, wenn ich einen Preamp zwischen passiven Bass und Eingang Verstärker benutze, empfiehlt es sich dann den VerstärkerEingang auf -15dB für Aktiv zu schalten oder negiere ich damit den gewonnenen Effekt? Danke Dir. Gruß Norman

    • @basstheworldofficial
      @basstheworldofficial  3 місяці тому +1

      Das wird in den meisten Fällen nicht nötig sein. Den -15dB Eingang benutzt man nur mit extrem lauten Bässen, die im Verstärker ungewollte Verzerrungen verursachen

    • @trickfishamps
      @trickfishamps 3 місяці тому

      The hi-Pass and Lo-pass is integrated into our new Bullhead 3K. For other “effects” we prefer to allow the player to use their personal choices and not make those effect decisions for them by including them in amplifier designs. Just our preference.
      Thanks!
