My comment from 3 years ago. I never updated but someone brought me back to this video. So my update is YES I did get the car within the month from that comment i posted. I absolutely love my car. It's been my dream car for years !
Long term owner here, have had mine for 35k miles now (from 17k to 43k now) so far I’ve only had to do the haldex (twice now) the dsg once so far, replace the rear tires because of a random bald patch, add a little coolant here and there, add maybe a quarter of a quart between oil changes (was told it’s because turbos burn oil and coolant more than N/A’s) And that’s it so far, I also drive my car like I stole it every day (make sure I hit my daily triple every day) Recently raced a v8 Camaro non SS just a normal one and sprinted away from him putting about half a car on him from 75 to 126. Raced a Cadillac cts awd too and did the same to him. It’s not going to out sprint everyone but it will slowly walk them. I also only use the manual shifting mode every time I drive. If I’m racing I drop it to 3rd gear or lower and it pulls (pulls the best after 4500 rpm) The short gear ratios which are 4.11’s are very short and adhere to its great acceleration as well.. I love my car
Well, actually it is small, and that's why I love my A3. I'm 6'3' and I HATE big cars and SUVs. I'm glad that Audi realizes that there are people who want a small car that is not a crappy tin can. I am on my second A3 now. The first was excellent, the one I have now is as well. As long as Audi makes them, I will buy them. Like you said, this is just the correct size car for me. IMO, the A3 is Audi's most unique car. It just hits every button for me. I looked at an A5 sportback last year. Great car, but it was just too...big. It just wasn't quite...right. Passed on that one and test drove my current A3- and I had big smile on my face. :)
Do it! I am 56 and just got my second A3. The "entry level" thing is kind of silly. The A3 is perfect as is. I live in Chicago and it is great for this city- easy to park, performs well, brakes on a dime. Oh, and a blast to drive. The reviewer is correct- once you go German, it's all over. You don't go back to anything else. Nothing drives like a German car, period.
I leased an Audi Quattro Premium S Line 3 years ago, I only have 11K on it, I am planning on buying it. It has been a great car. I just hope I won't have to pay a lot for maintenance since until now I had the maintenance package. I really had no complaints except for the iPhone bluetooth which is temperamental. The car drives f I n e. I previously had the front wheel drive, the Quattro is definitely worth it!
@@nascarque I DID !! I forgot I even commented on this about it loll. And i literally got it the same year as my comment 😂 Thanks for commenting and bringing me back to it
@@gabbybove218 Congrats! And lol🤣 glad my comment brought you back. How’s the car treating you so far, any major issues? I been looking at the A3 for my potential next car. I want something a little more sporty with cool features.
@@nascarque Thank youu ! And so far no major issues at all. I did finance it so i just had to change the battery recently because the precious owner didn't. But that's not completely major to me. It runs so smooth and its really good on gas for me. I definitely recommend it !
@@red_jack_sa674 We rebuilt ours and it still has had no issues. Just tire replacements and alignment. That still all I have has to do. About 28k miles now
I also don't remember my age sometimes :'D and say 27-28 years old. Your intro was spot on. I'm French living in the Bay area and have noticed more and more smaller cars for daily commutes. This is a car I would consider leasing for 2-3 years if I get a good deal ;)
Love this car. With a simple ECU tune it has over 300HP. Also the rear seats fold down completely flat so tons of storage in the back. Lots of room in the back seats too. That passenger seat was slid all the way back.
I like the clean and simple look on this vs the new interior. Its more car like and less computer. Think ima get one of these 2019-2020 models next week vs wait for the redesign.
hey man, local to you! I've had my eye on a GTI for years, and the stalling issue put me off..I've been thinking about an A3 lately. Haven't watched the video yet, but I'm sure it'll be good, thanks!
My 2019 is the S line but didn’t come with the metal pedals, embroidered seats or flat bottom steering wheel.. still has the 45tfsi engine and awd and all the looks I could handle though so I’m not complaining 😅

I'm an old man with grown kids, and I love it. Considering this sweet ride for sure. Also, love that gray color.

Just got my new 2020 A3 and i absolutely love it. I’m sure this is bias but it drives even smoother than my moms 2021 Mercedes 300
how is it running for you after 3 years any problems with maintenance?
wondering because I am thinking about getting one myself

@@BarakatUsrathinking about getting one have you added any mods
Great review! Can definitely see this as a family ride if you have young children and plan in a few years to upgrade to something bigger.
Great review! I’m thiiiis close to leasing an A3 but I’m wondering if the S3 is really what I want.
@@guardisto It has the is20 like the GTI
Is this the quantum grey?
What is the colour on this one? Is looks like Nardo grey? Didn't come as an option here in AUS for the A3 line.
What is the whole name of this car I type in the title and I cannot find the exact one for whatever reason can I get the stock #
Watching this because I might upgrade from the 2016 2.0T
I'm gonna start driving soon do you think this would be a good first-driver car? I'm also considering a CLA , A cl ass or a BMW 3 series
Get a V8 Charger or Challenger. You’ll love it

The wheels are very nice. I’d like to see them on a VW GTI.
Beautiful 🚗- ❤️ it
I like the exterior but the interior is really show it’s age compared to the new A class. The 2021 A3 is looking nice though

that is not A3 2020, that is A3 2018 model year. 2020 is completely different model
The refreshed and new generation A3 starts as a 2021 model here in the US. 2020 is our final year of the 3rd gen.
