3.0T is one of Audi's best engineered engines. They can handle a ton of power and keep running reliably with routine maintenance. Keep in mind that installing pulleys to spin the supercharger faster will generate more heat increasing the IAT to the point that the factory intercooler will not be able to bring the temps down. So expect to upgrade intercooler and pump with the pulley upgrade to keep the balance of temps and boost. Not upgrading all the accompanying parts will just cause the car to run slower due to it knocking and pulling timing.

Would there be any benefit to getting a S-line compared to a base model A6? I was also wondering as far as parts, labor and supporting mods go how much does it usually cost?
Depending on which side of the world you're on, that depends! For North America, pre-facelift models have the same 3.0T supercharged motor as the S4/S5/Q5/SQ5 and the ZF8 AL551 transmission. RoW (rest of world) vehicles get the DL501 DSG transmission. These cars will typically have the most aftermarket tuning support. Late model facelift C7.5 3.0T cars will come with a different and more updated 3.0T CREC motor, which doesn't have nearly the same amount of aftermarket support but is still a great car. We're coming out with an updated tuning suite for the CREC motor which will feature the same great features featured on the standard 3.0T powertrain from older models. The choice between the S-Line and base model is a personal preference. If you'd like to get a quote for parts and labor at our Service Department, email the team at service@ztfauto.com.
Awesome video crazy that some people are still sleeping on Audis 🏁 we have to keep it a secret!!😉🤫 what are your tuning options for 2018+QS5 3.0 turbo?
Since the supercharger has a valve in the back that closes to provide full boost could you have it shut then open top end and have a turbo feeding the supercharger? Like when the valve opens it allows the full boost from the turbo?
That is a good idea, though that valve is small so a much larger valve would need to be employed, and it would be be a very complex system to control properly.

Money 💰it's all about the money. They know that we'll pay more for power even though it's the same engine. I have the a6 I asked myself the same question when I first got it.
I'm not sure the engine is detuned per say. The DSG transmission will probably transfer a few more horsepower and be ever so slightly faster than the 8 ZF in the A6/7. The DSG will allow a higher redline therefore a few more ponies because the 3 0TFSI has more to go after the conservative factory redline
The vector diffs seem to be weaker, but most 3.0T cars aren't hurting them, cars with 4.0T and making more TQ are blowing them up, so the upgrade is to go to the standard diff and install an LSD.

@@034motorsport Cool. Officially Gassed OG recently destroyed one of the planetary gears in the center diff of his RS5 while doing the brake boost "launch control". The mechanic that pulled the transmission to assess the damage said it was due to that diff just not being built to handle 600+ ft/lb of torque being held like that when brake boosting. He ended up having to find a used transmission because Audi don't just sell a new differential to swap in and (as someone who got the short end of the stick with the B8 A4 lawsuit transmission replacement due to a technicality and having to go the junkyard/independent mechanic route) it makes me nervous seeing something like that and wondering if it's not a matter of if but when something like a stage 2 B9 S4/5 manages to encounter the same issue? I have no clue what tune he's running or if he has a TCU tune but I was curious if you guys have some safety measure put in place to prevent something like that from happening with your TCU tune?
@@FastRedPonyCar on our tune we have seen no issue on our in house cars or customer cars, our tuning absolutely has raised but safe torque limits and all factory safety systems in place in the ECU and TCU, w/o these any ECU flash, or on a tuning box, can easily damage the engine or transmission.
It boils down to how it was maintained. Were oil changes done on time? Are all your other parts in good working order? Do you have any fault codes in the system due to failed sensors etc? If so, you should take care of that before any performance mods. Is your aftercooler up to the task of dealing with the hotter intake air temps due to spinning the supercharger faster? Manufacturers build these things with balance. Upgrading one part and not the others that accompany that part upsets that balance. Spinning the blower faster will result in more boost, but that also increases the air temps past the point that the stock aftercooler can handle causing the ECU to pull timing when it pings under boost. Some people are lost on how they could be Stage 2 upgraded but feel slower than say a Stage 1 car. And the reason would be what I mentioned prior. So if your engine was maintained properly and all your other parts are up to the task then Stage 2 should not be a problem.

What are the intake and exhaust flow rates stock? All i'm seeing is for a 2.8 and 2.9 engine of 220cfm on the intake.
I've got a healthy 2012 Q7 3.0t.
Do you make a tune for it?
How much $$?
What power increases?
Looking at after Christmas.
Not looking to double power but like to be a little over 400hp.

Please make the supercharger intercoolers rerouted for easier service!!!
I have a 2014 A7. Just installed ecs upper and lower pulleys, air intake and arp 93 octane tune...whats my approximate hp?
280hp cause I guarantee the engine is underperforming. Look into it, a bunch of guys with more than just stage 1 ecu tunes once they get to actually test the whp on a dyno find out they have worse output than stock.
@@dcam1760 hardly lol. Took it to the drag strip and ran 11.9 quarter. Stock does the quarter in 13.7. This car feels like an absolute monster compared to stock.
I’m currently in the market for a 2014+ A6 and want to do a duel pulley conversion, as far as the 2014+ 3.0Ts go do they all come equipped with the same transmission or should I be looking for a specific model 3.0T?

Downpipe, stage 1 034 flash, but spend the money and get an intercooler. C6 c7 platforms are crazy hot. You'll lose power every pull.
What tunes are compatible with a stock oem clutch and flywheel for the b8 manual?
All of our tuning is compatible with the stock clutch and OEM flywheel, though we would recommend upgrading for anything above Stage 1.

Since the supercharger has a valve in the back that closes to provide full boost could you have it shut then open top end and have a turbo feeding the supercharger? Like when the valve opens it allows the full boost from the turbo?
That is a good idea, though that valve is small so a much larger valve would need to be employed, and it would be be a very complex system to control properly.
what about A6???
I run a 207mm on my a7; it’s mind blowing how fast it is.
What sort of boost is that producing? More than a smaller dual-pulley setup?

No hard and fast rules, a well maintained car will be much more reliable than one that was poorly maintained, unless something is wrong no need to be concerned but need to keep in mind the age of various components and update, upgrade or use caution

What does a dual pulley ported blower 3.0T on E70 max out at power wise?
more than the head can handle...
They use the exact same trans as a hellcat so there good for at least 750/770 motor who knows to be honest all depends on how u keep the car if u stack injectors with the direct injectors u can get stupid power I thing a bigger blower is more safe to be honest like Prochager
No they don’t 😂😂😂 Hellcats use a ZF8 and the S4 is a Dual Clutch, unless you’re talking about the manual variant.
@@VigorousZinc what if he's talking about the a6? they do use the ZF8
The hellcat 8 speed is not the same as the one mated to the 3.0 the 8 speed trans behind the s8 4.0t is the same as the hellcat but the srt jeep trans is the same and they hold up to 500/hp/tq to wheels on a 4900lb car so you're a little off.
Can i get a 034 tune in europe ? With our ron 100+ fuels ?

Hello I just bought a 2016 S4 premium Plus it's a really nice car with a one owner car garage kept in the baby did it and it's very fast it's got like 60k on it so what I want to do to it like I do all my other cars I do run Royal Purple cuz I think the oil keeps the engine cooler and on the dino my friend has a Dino and you do gain more horsepower with that oil so I like that oil so saying that I'm looking at your your just your basic tune that you plug in can you use off your phone so my question is is how much horsepower does that gain in torque and what type of gas am I going to use cuz I live in New Jersey and we have 93 and that's what I've been putting in it so my question is is that can I still keep it at 93 if I buy That Tune
Anyone explain please, the a6 3.0tfsi and the S4/S5, why is the a6 slightly detuned to the S4/S5 when it's the same engine? Thankyou
Money 💰it's all about the money. They know that we'll pay more for power even though it's the same engine. I have the a6 I asked myself the same question when I first got it.
@@milkydud99 Same situation as my dads 15 Q5 with the 3.0T. But I wanted the paddle shifters and more sporty seats, so I got the SQ5.
@@OhioBahn440 thankyou
Hello. What are the limits of the manual gearbox and the sport diff as I have both?
We haven't seen that limit so we can't say for sure, it appears to be decently high.
The vector diffs seem to be weaker, but most 3.0T cars aren't hurting them, cars with 4.0T and making more TQ are blowing them up, so the upgrade is to go to the standard diff and install an LSD.
@@034motorsport Thank you for the answer. My car has currently ECU MAP for 93 octane(98RON) and is making 417hp and 362lb-ft of torque. Dyno graph: postimg.cc/sQN3Nrtj
It has sport diff and manual. Can I go safely to dual pulley or the limit for the diff is lower? I wouldn't like to install aftermarket LSD as it removes functionality from the car(diff modes).
You wouldn't be able to hurt it on the 3.0T tuning currently available. We have a few customers breaking the 500whp mark in manual B8 S4's.

How are the 3.0 turbo engines holding up? About the same? I'm planning on getting into a B9.5 S5 near the end of the year when my Tesla lease is up and although I don't plan to make big power for a daily, I'm anticipating going to stage 2 and hoping to enjoy many years with it at whatever power level that happens to be. I don't drag race or road race or anything like that. I just like a quick daily that's reliable.
They are holding up very well and holding 5-600+TQ, very impressive!
Want to build a 2014 sq5 with 165k on the clock?? It’s already stage 2 upper pulley. Is stage 2 upper and lower pulley too much?
@@TwentytenS4B8 everything is mint. I change the oil every 3500 miles. I just had the intercooler‘s replaced for preventative maintenance and a carbon clean.

Engine failures no, but cat failures yes. That’s the biggest reason I haven’t gone dual pulley

Actually just their mouths are talking practically , though technically other parts of their head are involved as well. Their brains are actually forming the thoughts and controlling the muscular movements that shape their lips mouth tongue voice box and diaphragm, their ears listen to what’s being said and provide a feedback loop to the brain, eyes provide information stimulus to see what the response to the words being said is, the nasal cavity actually resonates projecting sound and changing the sound of the words being created by the tongue mouth and respiratory system as well. 👍🏼
