Nothing compares to A C2 Corvette, I had one four a short time of 63 split window until I got divorced
'63 split window is the best of the best for C2 Corvettes. It's without a doubt the most iconic Sting Ray of all time.
@@Corvette.Ronnie You are definitely right and I had no problem seeing out the back window I don't get it.
I put a new 327 with a 1/2 race cam in it and Immediately tore out second gear synchronizer, Don't think I missed a gear I think the Is Borg Warner T10 was not up to the torq
This is way back in the early 70s I called a mechanic to see what it would cost me to have a second gear synchronizer he said $250 I like to s***.
So I'm in my early 20s I call a friend we jacked up all 4 sides with everything we can think of lumber all kinds of c*** dangerous yes, It took me 1 day to get the motor moved forward and the transmission I have 3/4 of an inch to work with I got it out took it down at it fixed and forgot what I paid for.
Anyway to make a longer story short it took me 2 days to line the splines up on the transmission to get it through the clutch and into the bell housing and I was a nervous wreck.
I will end this long story with the fact that the Speed armator of an hour and a 160 miles an power I took it out and I got it up to a 145 miles an hour an Chicken out.

@@terryandrews7271 So I'm a couple years younger but I've owned several old Corvettes (no C2s) and have been an enthusiast ever since I could remember. I've also driven a 63 split window coupe and several other C2 coupes and the view out the back was no better and no worse.
Were you aware that some of the guys with 63 spit window coupes, cut out the center rib and installed 64 rear glass and trim? It was done so that their car would look just like the newly released model. Oh boy.....if only they'd had a crystal ball, that would've never happened.

Bought in 1973
The L79 was such a milestone engine. Lots of horsepower and even more torque with a hydraulic lifter cam that made enough vacuum to run power brakes.

These are not c2z! They're Mid-Year or Sting Ray corvettes 😊
While “Midyear” is certainly another name for the second generation Corvette (or C2) the name “Stingray” is also attached to Corvettes from 1968-1976 (C3), Corvettes from 2014-2019 (C7) and the 2020-2023 Corvette (C8). How you refer to any generation of Corvette is really just a matter of personal preference.
@Corvette Ronnie almost! When new they were Sting Ray Corvettes nickname Mid-Year, 69-76 Sting Ray became one word Stingray nickname sharks From the Mako Shark. C crap came with the 84 Corvettes. All the cool names were gone. Call it what you like, but if you grew up with the car, then you know it's a Mid-Year Corvette Sting Ray!
