Some useful things to add to this: 1) The discombobulator ray. It will dismount the target which is great to stop a fleeing player. On top of that it's one of the few engineering items that can be used by non engineers which is great. 2) The flash bomb. It's an instant grenade that fears beasts. Great for WSG. Stops the enemy druid in his tracks while he tries to run your flag. Like with the ray, this item can be used by non engineers. The schematic can be found from a quest in the badlands. 3) The fishing lure that gives +100 to fishing is a most have for anyone that tries to fish. On of the best fishing spots is located at the Bays of Storm in Azshara. To fish there you need 425 in fishing which makes the engineering lure pretty much necessary. If you have this market for yourself you might make a bit of gold from the lures. 4) The catseye googles. They increase your stealth detection. Great for a quick equip-swap to fish the enemy rogue or druid out of stealth. 5) The acanite dragonling and the harvest reaper kit. Both can be used together with the battle chicken to summon more pets to further increase your raid dps. Only works if there is no major AoE that would kill your pets instantly. Great for min/maxing. Other than that, great video as always. Stay frosty =)
I wanted to add the discombobulator ray dismount tip and the dragonling not sharing cooldown with the battle chicken. But I was trying to make the video shorter :)

Thanks PeanutButterGamer, I think it's easier to decide on professions if you first decide on your class. Also it depends if you plan to play classic wow casual or hardcore, as some professions require lots of time investment in order to make them profitable or you just wont have enough recipes to help your friends.
For a few classes Engineering can dramatically make them pretty OP in pvp, especially Goblin Engineering giving stun locks for already stun heavy classes/specs. It's combat heavy, and overall you can't use most of the things in this profession unless your in it, unlike enchanting where you can buy the enchantment if needed to maximize your build. Another thing is you can go with two none gathering professions, but your going to have a lot of work to do to make it worthwhile.

I changed my mind after this video, i'm going engineering in classic. I've been engineer on retail since vanilla, but this looks much more fun than it is today in retail.
as far as i can remember the death ray worked by taking a random percentage of your max hp then dealing 1.5x or 2x the damage you took, i remember low self damage = low hit, and high self damage = high hit. as for the shrink ray it did effect bosses and the hit box size as i remember using it on raggy, made him tiny and no melee could hit him thus our raid leader ban the use of it ;D
Great video, Keep it up. Now I'm back to zero regarding classic. At the Alche video I thought I go healing priest with Alche and herb for the most overall benefits. I'm going to get gathering skills on my main, maybe. At least for first 2 months. Then I might swap one skill to engi. I'll make 2 + alts to level 35 and learn 2 crafting professions, maybe LW + Alchemy, depends on what gathering skills will have on main. Making choices in classic is so hard!
I will do the same as back in the day gathering (mining and herb) until lv 45 to affort mount and skills and then swap to a mayor profession. Level a mage to lv 60 afterwards for aoe grinding and a bankalt with enchanting. If I go priest also think of doing tailor before for the epic chest (depending if I don't find a raiding guild), but then... think I will wait until its time.
If anyone is going to be a ret pally, I highly recommend goblin engineering. The extra stuns from explosives gives your judgement extra damage. It's so OP.

Shrink ray. Had that on my first ever raid. It was in Kara and i was under geared and a total noob. Final boss. We struggled a bit. 1 wipe. 2. The third try we can hear the frustration start taking it's toll, we don't have enough dps to get him down before he enrages. I was a Rogue and as such I spend most of the fights in black and white due to me being bad at running away and not knowing the fight. But this time it looked better. We were focused, the hp ticked down faster then before, we were gonna make it! Then a dps died from a mistake. It's ok, we got this! A healer somehow dies, instant CR! I'm alive for the dps phase, It's go time! I popp everything but I no longer have the haste potion I bought with my last gold. I had used them up on our first tries, only to die right away. Then I remember, I have my trinket! I had used it before while clearing mobs on the way here, it was a huge help and seeing everyone grow big was awesome! I can see it infront of me, I use it and everyone grows large and get a big damage buff, hailing ME as a hero of the raid! I locate the trinket on my bar, move my mouse over it just as we all rush towards the boss after he aoe'd us away. I use it! ZAP!!! EVERYONE IS NOW ....tiny. -dps to everyone. Im shocked. and so are the rest. I can't help myself but to start laughing. I die. We wipe. We tried it some more before giving up and that's the one and only time I really raided in wow... good times xD
Just a couple of corrections: Shrink Ray could be used on Bosses... and could also backfire. What a fun Chrommagus attempt that was. Gnomish Net Launcher is perfect for Paladins, as the backfire can be dispelled with blessing of freedom, and one of the backfire variants charges you to the target and nets both of you - acting like a warrior charge. Great video!
You could even play the only Combat Res not owned by druids with this trick as FD would put you ooc in mid boss fight. Did that several times in vanilla

Hey, one thing early on and thru out most of the time you can make the aquamatic fish attractor. People forget this one due to most people don't fish. But if you want to make gold with the winter squid you need the increase fishing. I find I can sell it if I control the market which I usually do by making it in mass quantities. The mats are about two hours to farm to make 180 and people sell the nightcrawlers on the AH sometimes cheaper than you can buy them. I have found even in vanilla days up to TBC that they sell for about 5-12 silver each. It is no flask recipe but since you can make it very early it adds up.
thx for video!)) before i decide to swap gnomish school into goblin this 5 items (2:40) are the only one bop? I mean i need to craft only this 5 items and then i can drop the school?
You won't be able to use Transporter to Gadgetzan and world enlarger after droping Gnomish so no need to craft them (if you drop Gnomish immediatly after crafting Chicken and deathray, that can still be used when reached the correct level in Goblin as they are BoP but don not require Gnomish to use)
Great video. On the subject of re-leveling the profession to get both Gnomish and Goblin, I'm considering leveling each on seperate characters instead. Tallying up the pros and cons though. On my Gnomish engineer the main things I'd be missing out on be construction helmet, goblin bomb dispenser, mining helmet and the ability to reload my mortar, right? How big of a deal do you think these are? My goblin engineer could make the rest for my gnomish engineer to use, I believe.
Honorable mention you forgot the pet schematics that are exclusive and BOP in classic WoW through Engineer's Renewal Gift of each spec. - Schematic: Lil' Smoky for Gnomish engineers - Schematic: Pet Bombling for Goblin engineers
Does anyone know whether or not WoW Classic will have oldschool profession progression, ie reaching a certain skill level and then having to travel to find a particular npc that can teach you the next rank? I always liked that and I can't remember if they changed that prior to 1.12 or after.
Normally at lvl 35 and 200 + skill you have to find NPC's around the world that teach you artisan. For example: Enchanting artisan has to be learned in Uldaman :D
Arcanite dragonling, if I remember correctly you made a dragonling upgraded to mithril dragonling and then upgraded that to arcanite dragonling. Don't remember how useful, but very fun
Something I would like to ask tho, when you get yourself gnome engineering's renewal gift lil' smoky schematic, should you learn it after you have changed to goblin engineering since it doesn't seem to be require gnomish engineer to lear and use it?
Hello there! You forget to mention Lil' Smoky a non-combat pet. It is a BoP item and only craftable as a Gnomish engineer. If you want to max out BoP items, don't forget to craft it! See ya!
Are you supposed to buy all the Gnomish Recipes and learn them before you learn Goblin? I heard you can do Gnomish or Goblin quest then unlearn and re learn engineering and you will have everything still there?
Can a druid use engineering items/gadgets in cat/bear form or will the druid have to go to caster form to use them and then shapeshift back to cat/bear ?
Goblin jumper Cables XL Is Goblin engineering making but can be used for both and the Large Seaforium Charges does not work on Locked chested :/ But i really love your videos! keep them up
so.. why is ranged goblin?? If a warrior does not have great AOE dps or maybe specs as tank, the AOE dps goblin items would be GREAT for that melee class. I would think for a mage that can AOE grind it wouldn't need goblin for stuns.. since mages already do so much CC. but hey if anyone see's something I don't please help me out In any case I think it all doesn't matter since what you mentioned going Gnomish build all items then switch and stay Goblin makes sense.
Sure, pick something that you're passionate about. First videos won't be great, check my first videos on this channel. But eventually practice and studying about video editing will increase your production value/quality. Start with something simple, glue a couple of footage together and add music or voiceover.
Yeah. Don't gear up to more than you need. In the beginning it can be overwhelming if you use the most complex camera, or mic, or editing software. Start with basic, once you master that, and you feel you want to do more than what your gear can produce than move gradually to better equipment. And it goes the same with the production, start simple and remember: less is actually more!
Say I grind gnomish engineering and make all the gnomish only stuff, then drop engineering and relearn it all the way up as goblin. Do I loose any recipies learned the first time? Like should I keep rare engineering paterns and learn them only the second time up? or recipies stay with my character no matter how many times I change professions?
You say you can drop engineering and swap specialty? I tried to do that on Kronos. I could not do it, it would automatically assign the one I previously had (gnomish). Are you sure you can do that?
ektora, I'm not sure yet. One thing is for sure, I'm going to play EU, because on NA the ping would be unbearable. Gonna release later today or tomorrow a clip where I give more info.
i loved Engineering because i am an engineer IRL. but the game directors ruined it since BC... it's all is about DPS now. and the most amazing thing - the Vanilla team made whole this load of COOL professions in 3-4 years! just 300 skill but so much great content and now it's just so frustrating to see it became irrelevant...
Could you make multiple chickens or do they share the 30min cooldown? You forgot the dragon pet and harvest reapers. Shame you can't control them like normal pets. Only few situations you can use them in pve, mainly just boss fights, because you usually don't want to aggro everything because your pet attacks everything in sight.
So if I get 300 gnomish and craft all the gnomish exclusive stuff, I can drop it, get 300 goblin and have all of the benefits of goblin and gnomish engineering? So two teleporters?
No. You won't be able to use the Gadgetzan teleporter and World Enlarger, as these 2 gadgets have written on them "requires gnomish engineering" But I guess they're not that important.
Is Engineering difficult/expensive to lvl? Im gonna play a Mage and im having a difficult time choosing between Tailoring+skinning Or Mining+Engineering I am not going to rush to 60, I want to lvl at my own speed not rushing things. If mining and engi arent too hard to lvl I'd love to pick those 2
Start w/ two collecting professions (min/herb/skin) while leveling espec if u r not going to rush. Engi (tailoring, too) is very very expensive to level and does not really help that early.
Mining and engineering are very important , to work well with each other. However, you will need leather for mats and it will get pricey if you buy from AH. Remember you will be leveling and will still have to save $ for your mount.May I suggest an alt/ bank toon with skinning and herbal gathering ,because those mats you will need in future recipes. The hard part is leveling the 2 of your toons at the same time.

There's a quest in Desolace that requires an Advanced Target Dummy as well.
lol, I don't remeber that quest.
Need to look it up.
"Get good at begging" haha, noting to level that up alongside my engineering.
Hey frost, do you play in bloodsail bucaneers RP server?
So do you always have the mind-control helmet on, or do you leave it in your bag ready to be equipped when it's necessary?
Hello there!
You forget to mention Lil' Smoky a non-combat pet.
It is a BoP item and only craftable as a Gnomish engineer.
If you want to max out BoP items, don't forget to craft it!
See ya!
oh wow, people still watch this video.
shadow reflector works on magic dust from the dust devils in westfall just a tip there
Are you supposed to buy all the Gnomish Recipes and learn them before you learn Goblin? I heard you can do Gnomish or Goblin quest then unlearn and re learn engineering and you will have everything still there?
what should i take for pvp? gnomish or goblin?
goblin
I look forwards to your videos!!
I would think for a mage that can AOE grind it wouldn't need goblin for stuns.. since mages already do so much CC. but hey if anyone see's something I don't please help me out
In any case I think it all doesn't matter since what you mentioned going Gnomish build all items then switch and stay Goblin makes sense.
Keep it up dude you're getting famous :D this is your time !
Hi mom! I'm on youtube! :D
that scope is so juicy for hunters... 3% hit from an attachment is crazy good
depends, not sure on this but think 7 damage scope might be better :E
This is incredible production value. Well done. Any tips for someone who wants to take up video production as a hobby?
Sure, pick something that you're passionate about.
First videos won't be great, check my first videos on this channel. But eventually practice and studying about video editing will increase your production value/quality.
Start with something simple, glue a couple of footage together and add music or voiceover.
Yeah. Don't gear up to more than you need. In the beginning it can be overwhelming if you use the most complex camera, or mic, or editing software. Start with basic, once you master that, and you feel you want to do more than what your gear can produce than move gradually to better equipment. And it goes the same with the production, start simple and remember: less is actually more!
@Frostadamus @@Sonja_TV Thanks!
Lol
Where do you go to pick gnomish or goblin engineering?
You say you can drop engineering and swap specialty? I tried to do that on Kronos. I could not do it, it would automatically assign the one I previously had (gnomish). Are you sure you can do that?
It should be possible. We might have to try that if a classic beta goes live.
Kronos is still a private server. Might be buggy.
Ammo missed, big plus for Hunters.
true :E
this is exactly why when i first played I picked engineering lol
I played hunter in vanilla but used to buy my arrows from Alterac valley rep.
Frost what are you going to play? Class, race, type of Server and where? USA?
ektora, I'm not sure yet.
One thing is for sure, I'm going to play EU, because on NA the ping would be unbearable.
Gonna release later today or tomorrow a clip where I give more info.
Will rocket boots be in WoW vanilla 2019, weren't they were added after 1.12?
Did you know discombulator ray dismounts the target aswell?
I'm thinking of going engineering, would it be better to get skinning/mining to start - and then swap to engineering once I get to 60?
Yes, definitely!
imo it is always the best option to use two collecting professions while leveling.
Engineering might not give you the most money, but it'll definitely give you utility! I'm told MTs should go engineering. I guess I'll do the same.
I guess engineering can help you with the grenades on aoe tanking.
Hi frost, do shadow reflectors reflect AOE spells like Psychic Scream?
Hi Christopher,
Pretty much, yea :D
Wheres the intro song from?
Nice vid dude 👍
Wheres the music from sounds so familiar
i loved Engineering because i am an engineer IRL. but the game directors ruined it since BC... it's all is about DPS now.
and the most amazing thing - the Vanilla team made whole this load of COOL professions in 3-4 years!
just 300 skill but so much great content
and now it's just so frustrating to see it became irrelevant...
I know exactly what you mean.
All the work and thought that was put into vanilla, just to be ruined by next generation :E
Is there a minimum character level requirement to max out engineering?
35
Could you make multiple chickens or do they share the 30min cooldown? You forgot the dragon pet and harvest reapers. Shame you can't control them like normal pets. Only few situations you can use them in pve, mainly just boss fights, because you usually don't want to aggro everything because your pet attacks everything in sight.
nah, chicken share cooldown.
But you can use a chicken and after 60 seconds pop a dragonling :P
So if I get 300 gnomish and craft all the gnomish exclusive stuff, I can drop it, get 300 goblin and have all of the benefits of goblin and gnomish engineering? So two teleporters?
No.
You won't be able to use the Gadgetzan teleporter and World Enlarger, as these 2 gadgets have written on them "requires gnomish engineering"
But I guess they're not that important.
@@Frostadamus thanks a lot, awesome
Awesome video! I love the detail! If you need a 1-300 Engineering guide, I have that on my channel Frost.
Hey Executus,
Cheers man, I'll keep that in mind :P
Thank you very much very helpful!
Is Engineering difficult/expensive to lvl?
Im gonna play a Mage and im having a difficult time choosing between Tailoring+skinning Or Mining+Engineering
I am not going to rush to 60, I want to lvl at my own speed not rushing things.
The hard part is leveling the 2 of your toons at the same time.
tnx for great explanation it will be useful
You are so productive :)
