[Free Pattern] Embroidery for Beginners - Sacrifice a bit of screen time for embroidery

The blouse in the thumbnail is from my clothing brand, Mocha Baby. It's adorned with a bullion rose embroidery on the collar, perfect for a 1-year-old. I initially made it for my granddaughter, but she prefers stretchy fabrics, so she didn't wear it.
The free pattern includes three collar sizes and embroidery designs. You can purchase the baby blouse pattern on ithinksew. While I aimed to keep the video short, I struggled to explain the sewing process concisely. I've included extra helpful information at the end. Check it out!

Interfacing: 22” wide ½ yard, Ultral light weight fusible interfacing for cloth (Pellen no PLF36 Fusible Interfacing)
Strap or Ribbon: 1 yard (Cut two ribbons, each measuring 16 inches.)

Help information & Tip
Choosing Fabric:
I suggest using 100% washed linen or cotton for the blouse. Linen has a natural texture and is slightly more expensive than cotton.
Interfacing:
There are various types of interfacing available. For this collar, opt for clothing interfacing suitable for laundry. If using thick linen, apply interfacing only to the embroidery areas to avoid unnecessary thickness. When using heavy fabric, consider using a lightweight lining.
Pre-Washing:
It's best to wash and iron the fabric before embroidering. Some fabrics shrink after washing, so pre-washing helps prevent distortion. If the lining and exterior fabric differ, wash both fabrics to avoid uneven shrinkage. Be mindful of water temperature during washing.
Using Ribbons:
When using ribbons, choose reversible ones. If ribbons have distinct outer and wrong sides, attach them to the embroidered collar, placing each right side together. So, you will see the wrong side of ribbon.

生地選択:
