Why am I uploading free patterns? After taking a long break from stitching at the end of last year, I found an incredible sense of emotional stability and comfort when I resumed. And you know what? The more I share this joy, the greater it becomes. That's why I'm gathering with friends to embroider together these days and striving to share as many free patterns as possible. I encourage you to join in the fun! Share your experiences and feelings in the comments below. By sharing our joys, we can all become part of this vibrant stitching community together. Let's stitch and connect! Description This embroidery pattern introduces seven basic and widely used stitches for embroidering leaves. You will learn two types of satin stitches, two types of fishbone stitches, lazy daisy stitch, blanket stitch, and fly stitch. These stitches are easy for beginners to try right away. To make it easy to follow, the pattern is attached as a PDF. I hope you enjoy following along! From Sue I love embroidering leaves, so I had a lot of fun stitching this sampler. I got so immersed in the leaf embroidery that I didn’t notice I misspelled "Daisy". I realized the typo after I finished editing the video. Another mistake I found after finishing the editing was in the part labeled "Buttonhole stitch". This stitch is actually a blanket stitch. I hope there is no confusion. Satin Stitch B in step 6 looks very similar to the fishbone stitch. For Satin Stitch B, when you stitch the middle of the leaf, you place each stitch right next to the previous one, side by side. You can understand it better by watching the video. A friend who does crochet said that my embroidery looked difficult, but from my perspective, crochet seemed more difficult. Her words kept lingering in my mind, so I started designing a sampler with the idea of making embroidery more accessible and easier for more people. I spent a lot of time choosing fonts to make it look more aesthetically pleasing. While drawing this design, I finished designing a few samplers. I plan to release them soon. Please look forward to it! This spring has been very busy for me personally, and it seems to have flown by. It’s already past mid-May. I hope you all have a wonderful May! P.S.: I wrote the letters on the fabric with a ballpoint pen, but if you know of any pens that work better on fabric, I would appreciate it if you could leave a comment. The pattern comes in two sizes to fit 4-inch and 5-inch hoops, making it accessible for different projects. With six easy techniques, even novices can create satisfying first pieces. Before starting the class, when I show this pattern, many think it's difficult, especially stitching the roses seems daunting. However, when I demonstrate stitching the roses, they find it enjoyable, even exclaiming it's magical. This design was created with Mother's Day in mind as a potential gift idea. One of the best ways to express love to someone special, in my opinion, is through handmade gifts. Among them, embroidery seems to stand out as an especially thoughtful present. While embroidering, one can think of and appreciate the person you're giving the gift to, which brings joy not only to oneself but also to them. With these thoughts in mind, I designed this pattern. If you're considering a Mother's Day gift this year, why not try embroidering this design? P.S. In this video, the spider web rose stitch was stitched after the satin stitch flowers. When designing and selecting colours, I prefer to stitch the flowers first and then determine the colours for the leaves. While it's not a significant difference, stitching the spider web rose last may be more convenient. I'll soon upload a video of stitching letters as well. P.S.

When I draw patterns, I use a thin lightbox. This product is lightweight and easy to carry around. However, the downside of this light box is that it's not easy to draw patterns on fabric with dark colours.

Why am I uploading free patterns? After taking a long break from stitching at the end of last year, I found an incredible sense of emotional stability and comfort when I resumed. I encourage you to join in the fun! Share your experiences and feelings in the comments below. By sharing our joys, we can all become part of this vibrant stitching community together. Let's stitch and connect! Lavender 1 The bullion stitch involves wrapping the thread multiple times, and it can be a bit trickier on curves. However, in this design, you only need to wrap the thread around 7-8 times, so even beginners can achieve beautiful results. To help those new to the bullion stitch, the video demonstrates how to slowly build up the lavender by placing the stitches. I used variegated embroidery floss for one and alternated between three different threads for the other. You can see the difference in the image. Recently, I stumbled upon a radio program on UA-cam that I used to listen to back in middle school. As I listened to the music from that time, I felt a strange mix of emotions. It brought back vivid memories, making me feel nostalgic. So these days, I've been embroidering while listening to the music of that era, and it's been so enjoyable. I encourage you all to try embroidering while listening to music that holds special memories for you! French knot flowers I uploaded a few edited videos, but filming and editing are still difficult for me. One major reason is that uncontrollable noise keeps occurring during filming. The main culprit of this uncontrollable noise is my dogs. So, last week, I looked into ways to better incorporate audio. But as I delved into the audio side, there was just too much to learn... so, for now, I decided to put it aside. When I first started selling sewing patterns, I learned various tools. Learning these tools was challenging, and the learning process was not easy. Back then, while learning these tools, I thought that as I got older, I would be able to work more leisurely using the tools I had learned. However, as I worked, the things I needed to learn only increased. Learning is endless, but it doesn't seem easy! Tip: I embroidered using three threads. It's a great pleasure to try embroidery with your own color scheme. When you decide on colors, first choose the color of the flower, then pick a leaf color that goes well with it. Finally, when choosing the stem color, it's easy if you pick a color that harmonizes well with the two colors chosen before and doesn't stand out too much. This design has quite a few lines in the stem, so if the stem color stands out, it looks complicated and messy. [ Why I provide free patterns? ] Rediscover the joy of embroidery with me! After taking a long break from stitching at the end of last year, I found an incredible sense of emotional stability and comfort when I resumed. And you know what? Let's stitch and connect! [ Hand embroidered peter pan collar 1] The blouse in the thumbnail is from my clothing brand, Mocha Baby. It's adorned with a bullion rose embroidery on the collar, perfect for a 1-year-old. I initially made it for my granddaughter, but she prefers stretchy fabrics, so she didn't wear it. The free pattern includes three collar sizes and embroidery designs. You can purchase the baby blouse pattern on ithinksew. While I aimed to keep the video short, I struggled to explain the sewing process concisely. I've included extra helpful information at the end. Check it out! Linen has a natural texture and is slightly more expensive than cotton. Interfacing: There are various types of interfacing available. For this collar, opt for clothing interfacing suitable for laundry. If using thick linen, apply interfacing only to the embroidery areas to avoid unnecessary thickness. When using heavy fabric, consider using a lightweight lining. Pre-Washing: It's best to wash and iron the fabric before embroidering. Some fabrics shrink after washing, so pre-washing helps prevent distortion. If the lining and exterior fabric differ, wash both fabrics to avoid uneven shrinkage. Be mindful of water temperature during washing. Using Ribbons: When using ribbons, choose reversible ones. If ribbons have distinct outer and wrong sides, attach them to the embroidered collar, placing each right side together. So, you will see the wrong side of ribbon. * Support me Your support greatly helps continue new creations and projects. I created this embroidery design envisioning a bullion stitch with a beautiful purple gradation thread. Initially, I was hesitant about using gradation thread due to its color changes, causing the final product to deviate from my exact mental image. Throughout my career as a designer, I've executed thousands of designs, always striving to bring my visions to life. However, this pursuit often led to considerable stress. Despite my deep passion for design, paradoxically, the stress was taking a toll on my enjoyment of the work. Recently, I've been consciously working on cultivating a more relaxed mindset. When I feel overwhelmed or stifled, I practice calming breathing techniques to help guide my design decisions. As I've gradually embraced this change, I found myself contemplating the idea of incorporating gradation thread into my designs, such as in this bullion stitch. I had prepared the video for the recently released ‘Simple Branch Pattern’ series last week, but after shooting and editing ‘Simple Branch 1’ pattern twice, I no longer wanted to see this color combination. Therefore, I'll be releasing Purple Berry first. I plan to share Simple Branch after uploading a few other free patterns. I originally designed this pattern with the intention of using my favorite DMC 154 color. However, upon placing the stitches as per the initial design, the right side looked empty, prompting me to add an extra branch. As you watch the video, you'll notice a branch emerging that wasn't part of the original pattern. While others may not know, I've often experienced unplanned situations. UA-cam is one example. There were many times when things didn't go as planned, leading to frustration. However, from the day I acknowledged that such things could happen, I found peace of mind. Thank you so much for taking the time to watch the video. Look forward to the next free pattern~ [Purple Berries Embroidery Pattern] Create a small botanical hoop art that's only 5 inches, perfect for a quick project. Use four simple stitches to embroider charming leaves and berries. Even if you're new to embroidery, this design is made for you. It only uses basic stitches like the backstitch, French knots, leaf stitch, and straight stitch, making it easy for everyone. You'll find the process addictively enjoyable as you fill in the leaves with thread. Once done, your hoop art will be a beautiful decoration for your walls or tabletops, showcasing your crafting skills. I'm not very familiar with shooting and editing videos, so I filmed this embroidery pattern twice, and I wasn't completely satisfied with either attempt. However, since it's my first time trying this process, I've decided to release it without being too hard on myself. Thank you for checking out my video, and I hope you enjoy it. When drawing patterns, I often end up creating multiple versions. For this Simple Branch pattern, I've drawn several variations. Look forward to the next pattern, and if you collect them, hanging them together on a wall will make a lovely series. Thanks for your support!
