Excellent Doc, you are right, I hope peace and friendship comes again to Ukraine, Belarus and Russia, great video. A fantastic and interesting journey.
I rode trains like this on the Trans-Mongolian/Siberian Railroad in 2011. Clashed with my uptight roommates because I wanted to leave the curtains open to see the night lights flahing by.
Mongolia is a place that I have always wanted to visit. For some reason - Mormon missionaries have done very well with the more urban populace! You need a clamp to hold that camera out the window! Can’t imagine how much diesel loco fuel that you inhaled!
Another excellent video, showing us places we could never hope to see - amazing scenery. I agree with your 'sound as it is' policy but I do miss the opening music as in your earlier videos.
In the UB wagon depot stood a train of white wagons. During the pandemic, this train served areas remote from large cities that were adjacent to the railway. Mobile hospital. The only passenger in the carriage. Probably because the tickets are more expensive and the distance is not long enough to buy a berth.
it goes as far as sukhbaatar on the mongolian/russian border; from there it turns immediately back to ulaanbaatar and travelling as a night train overnight
@@doc7austin Ok, I really love your videos, just wanted to point it for to be corrected, if still possible. Anyway, your style is amazing. Probably you make the best travel train video content of the kind.
@@doc7austin Anyway, your video content is the best of the kind. I really love those train streams. And the trains like this one really cause nostalgie... Just wanted to point it for to be corrected if still possible.
@@doc7austin In any case, the plant ended up on the territory of independent Ukraine after the collapse of the Soviet Union. And now the Russian occupiers have destroyed everything. The plant worked perfectly well under Ukraine.
Потому что в Монголии очень низкие пошлины на ввоз автомобилей, а ввоз электричек и гибридов вообще субсидирует государство. Соответственно приусы здесь стоят очень дешево. Недорогой, надежный японский автомобиль, что еще надо ?
As always, your video is extremely informative, but I do have one critique- The so-called peace that you wish to have restored between Belarus, Russia and Ukraine will only happen when Putin is allowed to impose a “Carthaginian peace” on Ukraine. If you wish to really get political then a discussion of the Orange Revolution and Putin’s reaction to it is in order. However, I do not visit your site on a regular basis to get into politics. I understand and appreciate that everyone has their own personal political opinion I just wish not to have those opinions imposed upon me. I come for your well-produced videos that allow us glimpses into places that most of us will not have the opportunity or courage to go. Your series on your travel via the Trans-Siberian railway is epic (magnum opus) and is highly recommended. Your detailed information on the various train consist reveals your true passion for rail travel. Each time I view your videos I learn a little more and for that alone I sincerely thank you. I will remain a subscriber, but perhaps I will not read the comments as much.
Оставьте в стороне политику и главное Российского Празидента Путина - Его избрал российский народ, и вам видимо сложно понять русский менталитет. Просто любуйтесь пейзажами и все.
Nice video . But a night train and a sleeping car for an entire day time trip ?! That's funny . I guess you were the solo passenger in the sleeping car . Normal passengers were riding on the other carriages, no ? 😊👍
Excellent Doc, you are right, I hope peace and friendship comes again to Ukraine, Belarus and Russia, great video. A fantastic and interesting journey.

President Trump isn't too shabby, either.
Why, was he responsible for killing more people than Hitler?
it seems so; but i am no expert in mongolian history
Enjoyed your Vlog- particularly the nonvocal commentary throughout. Mongolia is wild and beautiful in my perspective. Dr. Ajit Thakur (USA).

clamp - what is that ?
Cool
In the info about train no 271, scheduled departure time from Budapest-Keleti 10h35?
just a typo
Yep I live in Mongolian
Ааа вот куда делись наши старые вагоны из Казахстана)) даже перекрашивать не стали)) как я их любил эти старые немецкие вагоны))

the opening music scene is very complicated to make; moreover, i am always having copyright issues there
@@doc7austin Ok, thanks for letting me know, keep up the good work.
Very good 👍🏻🇮🇳
Next time also show what food is provided in the train by the pantry car
At 9:47 they raise part of the road at a railwaycrossing? Never seen that, but I suppose it is very effective. Great video!
yes, also typical for Russia
yes; everything has been built and is operating according to russian standards;
Excellent video my friends 😊awesome 😮Greeting 👋🏻 from Argentina 🇦🇷 suscribete
sure thing, come to visit mongolia
What is/was the COVID train?? My heavens!! The only passenger on a 12 coach train! ! !

it looks like a hospital train to me
russia also operates such hospital trains
Why are you calling it a night train when you're travelling during the day? Great scenery.
it is night train rolling stock; and i have chosen to travel during the daytime, because i could see the landscape the
It just sounds funny calling it a "night train" when you're travelling during the day.
in The Room No Air condition?
of course not
Really enjoy your videos. Why is it a night train....does it go further?

что то не понял то у него камера 4:04 ?
What is gauge of this train
1,520 mm (Russian broad gauge)
285km in 7 hours is crazy. even in south east asia narrow gauge rail is faster than Mongolia. can anyone tell me why it is so slow?
What is Budapest-Keleti doing in the description? Probably that needs correction///

haha, yes i think so too
You wrote you were the only passenger on the train. Cannot possibly be true?
there was a smiley behind that claim
@@doc7austin Oh well. Did not see that.
And now the Luhansk diesel locomotive plant has been cut up for scrap metal and taken to the occupier country of Russia.
The loco was built in the Ukrainian SSR
@@doc7austin About the second locomotive that you filmed, it was built in 2011. And this does not change the fact that Russia destroyed the plant.
that plant was built after WWII by the soviet union government

so why did the output of that factory went down so much after 1991 ?
Why are Mongolian trains soooo slow?
