Boy, this really hits home for me as well! My holidays are exactly like you said completely flipped upside down since the death of my mom and having our home sold, so that I have no home to go to, Staying in a hotel for the last 3 1/4 years till I can get something,and there will be no gift exchange no Christmas dinner and it doesn’t matter how I try to fill that hole it just will never be what it was and my heart aches during the holidays especially because it’s so opposite of what I’m used to. I’ve been praying for your parents and you. Big hugs from Kimberly in Colorado
I am so glad you spoke up. I am soo lonely, and grieving for my family. I found my mother dying in a car Princess Diana style by accident on my way home from work. Just prior to that my father died on Thanksgiving, our family home that was my refuge, was burned down to the ground. My sister is missing as well. I don't know how I would have made it without my faith in the Lord. I really believe I would be dead, or cracked. The homesickness is intense, I actually feel physical pain. My church, my "friends" and other people I loved and trusted....well they just left me out to hang. I am struggling this year more intensely than before...I don't know why? But I am so impressed by the honesty, openness and well quite frankly Savannah's emotional maturity thru this. Oh I am sure she has shed her share of tears, and repeatedly asked God why? But I feel like we are all on this journey together at different points on the path, different levels of healing and pain, and coming forward with all of it. It helps more people than imagined. You all have just helped me....I was just about to well sob....BUT here you all are with me. Thanks to everyone for their transparency!!!!

I have been a single mom and I am now a mom of a child while married. I can tell you the amount of people who felt like they could insert themselves into my life and parenting while I was a single parent is disturbing. As a married mom now, people do not insert themselves like they did. My friend divorced a few years ago and I have watched people say things to her that they would have never said to her when she was married. The judgements that are made are very real. This was such a real episode. This episode reminds people that we are just humans living our lives the best way we can. Thank you for using your platform to bring awareness to these issues and for handling it with such grace.

Hi, I will be so happy when your parents are released. In your new relationship you can show the kids what a healthy relationship is like without being all on each other. Kids need to see that to know it's ok to show their feelings.
If she keeps God first family second she'll be a fine example as the Lord always provides and guides if open to receiving. But she's gotta keep God FIRST.
Girl I don’t even think this relationship is grand for you for all it is at this moment but that aside because that’s only your choice to make you did not birth the children you are so graciously and beautifully have taken on. I have been unbelievably proud of you through all this going on in your life. You have a right to live a full life. Do not listen to the the 1% Karen’s. You are inspiring to me. You keep doing what you’re doing for those kids and who cares what anyone else thinks or says. You are showing up in ways probably 99% of young adults your age would never do. People can be so rude, so mean, so careless and inconsiderate. It's hard not to take things personally when you already have so many emotional obstacles to overcome. Remember, you can't make everyone happy, and God always comes first. Everything else will fall into place.
As the tears go by you realize what Thanksgiving is really about, helping each other and thanking thise who gave been there for us that year, so you did the authentic thing!! You go girl!!God bless y'all ❤

Holidays can be so difficult for so many people. Thank you. My dad passed away on Dec 18 and my mom before Thanksgiving. Few years ago . I miss them everyday but Holiday grief is brutal.

THIS VIDEO! I am in awe of your maturity. As a mom it took me years to learnt to take care of my own self in order to take care of others. I ran on empty for so long not realizing the effect it had on my kid, It was honestly a learned behavior from my own mom. I didn't know that I was allowed to do both bc I only every viewed motherhood as a sacrifice..

If you want a suggestion, I would break your episodes up into 2 or 3 episodes. I rarely have the time to watch an hr to an hr and a half of the video. Maybe I’m the only one that experiences this dilemma. I love your videos and your family so I would love to be able to watch the entire video. You’ll have more videos out there for people to watch as well. You’re doing great too BTW. 💜💜💜💜 P.S. Most of the people who criticize you are so bored and unhappy in their own lives. And their opinions are their problems. They should not determine ANYTHING in your life. You are way above that.

You are definitely being tested but your passing the test woman. Pat yourself on you shoulder, you're doing it. The only question I have, and I ask, not because of who you are but just because I'm curious coming from a grandmother's point of view. Does Nanny Faye help with the kids? I'm sure age stops her from doing more, I know because my age defiantly stops me and I'm only 59, so I can imagine. Anyways, I was just curious because I don't see too much about her. Thanks again. I believe in traditions and when my mom passed, they stopped. Being on of six siblings, all of us are very close, i was the one who helped mom with all the baking and cooking. We did same thing every New Year’s Eve, when she passed it all stopped. I wasn’t blessed to be able to have kids, so holidays are really tough. I am blessed with wonderful siblings and their children. I did make you mom’s bread and desserts from her Thanksgiving special!
