I would add 2 things if not make one change, add his full body flip kick and his rarely used “teleport” side step. I’d like to see either one used to guarantee a free launcher and maybe a full jump in aerial combo or a repositioning teleport to keep his pressure strong in his side step. The other change if we can only have one, make his running knee launch the opponent slightly higher and safer.

Really nice guide. Something that they forgot to mention is that his raw fatal blow is actually a 50/50 mixup - if you hold up you will grab your opponent out of a neutral jump. Useful as a knowledge check and then a mind game.
It’s true, Reiko isn’t a mix up God and Baraka and Johnny are mix-up Gods and they are more safe on the assault, easy 50/50 opportunities as well, Baraka can also armor break wakeups too so yeah, as a Reiko main I’ll always try to use range on them, even if it’s just ranged kick counters, just something to keep them out and use that to mix in mind games and combos
To be honest, I never thought Reiko as a grappler but rather a bruiser, striker, or even jobber/juggernaut if we’re speaking mechanically. I feel like he needs 1 more command grab in order to be a grappler or have a unique meter burn effect where his enhanced takedown can force the opponent to bounce off the ground than have him pummel them down for a quick follow up.
Once the opponent hits the ground off the DDT, call Darrius and then hold back. Make sure you're not pressing a direction while doing the command grab, otherwise you can't call Darrius.
