I have found this tire your third option I want to purchase in confident. I have the John Deere L118, with 20x8.00-8. the ones I found are 22x11-8. They should fit right?
I have a Craftsman 54" 26hp Pro series lawn tractor that I'm having problems some traction issues. Would like to move up to the most aggressive tread without tearing up the lawn.
F ou r anyone interested, what hes calling the hdap tire is a Carlisle all trail ATV tire(according to Amazon). Both it and the ag tire are 4 ply whereas most factory installed turf tires are only 2 ply. On some applications the turf tires are 4 ply also, but most cheap out and go with 2 ply.
I put the HDAP tires on the back of my John Deere LA165 and now it pushes the tractor straight when I try to turn. Do I need knobby front tires to stop this?
That is true to an extent. If you put them on the cheaper transmissions for a little extra traction while mowing, that’s fine. If you start doing ground engaging work, it could result in problems.
Hey thanks for making the video. Your videos or very well made. I enjoy these videos. Here’s a bit of info on my tractor! I have a 1968 penncraft yard tractor with a 7 horse Briggs. I say yard as it’s a mix. It’s small. But very capable. Has a peerless 700 with a 3 speed h pattern, and a chain drive(8 tooth to 60 tooth) It is a really capable machine! I primarily use it for woodwork.. I pull logs so big I can barely budge them! I pull them almost daily. And I have been doing for the past 4 years! I pull them with my tractor! You can see my videos of it. Yes, I can kinda lift the tractor. But not really. It has all steel and many cast iron parts. You can also go on tractor data. I uploaded a picture on the information for the tractor. It was built by mtd. And is labeled as the “mtd 460”. Don’t let the pictures deceive you! It’s a solid piece of machinery! Much better then all the new cheap plastic stuff. Point is. Although it’s small. It’s a great, heavy duty, what I’d call it. Garden tractor! And yes, I got ag tires!!! If you read this thanks for reading!
@@TheTractorFactor I went to John Deere in Australia looking to get, heavy duty all purpose tyres, size 22x11x10, no go, they advised me to go to a tyre outlet, like Tyrepower. Will check them out tomorrow.
Great info. Thanks. Appreciate you not taking 20 minutes and getting to the point.
0:28 lol you had me swatting for a fly in my left ear til I replayed the video.
Great video! Quick and to the point!
Thank you. I'm glad you liked it!

Did they Fit???
For snow removal, add chains.
A turf tire with chains would walk all over a bar, or “all purpose” tire any day.
Chains are great, but they can mess up a driveway. TerraGrips are a neat compromise.

If you have turf tires, you could try HDAP instead.
Great video, simple. Thanks

I was told you need a K46 Transmission or heavier for these types of tires

I’m glad you enjoy the videos! And it sounds like you have a nice set up with your tractor, it looks like a tough machine.
@@TheTractorFactor thank you! And keep uploading if you can! God bless.
I have a 2018 jd x350 and was wondering where you can get these different tires. If there is a website or something, let me know
The best place to go will be your John Deere dealership. You can also look online, I know Amazon has some lawn tractor tires.
Tires4That.com is a great place to look for specialty tires. They ship to anywhere in the US.
Can you put hdap tires on a x390?
How will a bar Tire do on my lawn tractor plowing my driveway, my driveway is large gravel
If you’re only on snow and ice, you could struggle with traction. If there is some gravel exposed as your plowing, that would help.
Thank you for the help.
You're welcome!
I can't find the third suggestion all-purpose tire anywhere do you have a website
It's made by Carlisle, and it's the HD Field Trax.
You can get them through an online store such as the Green Parts Store or through your Deere dealer.
What is the name of HDAP tires?
Do you mean what it stands for? Heavy duty all purpose.
@@TheTractorFactor I've searched for them on line can not find ones that are 20x8x8
Could you possibly go to a dealership and ask them? That might be your best bet

Mike White ? Why hate?
x700 series is the most overpriced "garden" machine out there
