Probably could have filled the old turf tires with windshield washer fluid and been fine. I'm in Kentucky also, very hilly yard, 5 gallons in each of the rear turf tires (40lbs added to each tire) plus it lowers your center of gravity a great deal. Mower is much more stable and have not had a tire slip since.
Excellent tires and sounds like your using the properly 👍 But now your son will absolutely destroy that poor cub as he beats the living hell out of it treating it like an all American Arctic Cat ATV lol
That is the dimension given. I no longer have this mower so I am unable to measure them for you. Maybe someone on here that currently has them can provide an exact measurement. Thanks!
I still don't understand why cub cadet doesn't offering these types of treads themselves as an option. Little annoying I have to go to another vendor to get the wheels, but it is worth it as my land is like yours with all the inclines that the mower can't handle very well otherwise.
Depending on your mower, added traction is added stress on the drive train. Most people buy a little mower at a Box store to Do their little lawn. They build the mower for them.
Are the front tires super lugs? I ordered a set of tru power 23×10.5-12 but cannot locate the matching tru powers in 16×6.5-8. I can only find the super lugs in the smaller size. I even checked the Carlisle website and the 16×6.5-8 is not listed..
Thanks for the comment. The front tires are the Carlisle Tru Power. I purchased them at a tire shop in Kentucky back in 2017. Maybe they don't carry that size anymore - sorry. I hope you can find them.
Have a compact loader tractor with rear lug tires Carlisle super lug....always getting stuck in dirt...got tired of that....put a set of turf tires on... problem solved!!! The lug tires look cool. ...but useless!!!
I have a about a 20 degree lawn of hills. I tried this lug tires, tore up the yard too bad. Went with four wheeler tires and perfection! And they can and do let my wife mow, she isn't scared about the tires slipping. Got tires for all three mowers. One is called scorpion tires. Don't remember the name brand. Carlyle or something? This guy has not any hills that I can see.
The only flat part of the yard was right next to the house. Front, back, and sides all sloped. Hard to realize the true slope on video. Quad tires a good idea as well.

Looks really nice man! I have an xt2 gx 54 d but have always wanted the shaft driven series they just look really tuff
Just what I'm looking for. Thanks for posting and saved me a ton of searching.
Having the same issue with my mower here in central Tennessee. Thanks for the information.
thanks for describing the difference between tru power and super lugs👍
I have a zero turn that I put a plow on for winter snow plowing. Will these work in the snow?
No!!!
@@mikesecondo2254 why? Most say yes.
Had these installed when I bought my mower.
Nice! I hope you enjoy them!

Are these actually 10.50 wide??? The feedback for others such as deestone, super lugs say they are more narrow than turf tires

In the 90's they did! I have the same mower but a 97. The catalogue offers Ag tires, since the mower was capable of running a rear tiller, and more.

Looks nice, good job!
where did you get the front tires and what brand are they thanks
I ordered them from a local auto tire shop. The front tires are the same as the rear, Carlisle Tru Power Lug. Thanks for the comment.
@@macgyverspyder I can not find 16x6.5-8 tru power. Do they still make then that size

I put super lugs on mine
thanx this helped alot,im new to lawn tractors and i coulnt find anything on the subject.
Hello Friend. do these tires make marks on the lawn?
Minimal marks, depending on how wet the ground is. They don't tear up the yard either unless you are aggressive in the turns.
Why did you put them on the front?
It's not 4WD
It makes it look uniform and nice.

I’ve read putting the fronts on “backwards” on 2wd tractors helps more.
.
Does that tractor even run? it just SITS THERE!!
12/3/21, Why would anyone still want a *tractor?* ZT is the way to go.
So you can mow and drink beer at same time.
zero turns suck. give me a tractor any day of the week.
Hills, mowing comfort, the ability to use implements.
